Stampin’ Up! Festive & Bright Christmas Note Card

Here is a card that I made at the Inkin’ Krew Retreat designed by the wonderful Sue Prather. It uses the Festive & Bright Bundle (Festive & Bright Stamp Set + Festive Finishes Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. Sue paired it with the Peaceful Prints 12″x12″ Specialty DSP that is free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. Sale-A-Bration ends on September 30th, so hurry! The Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty Paper has sold out and the Sheep Dies, and the Summer Shadows Dies are in low inventory.

The Paper Cuts

  • Real Red Cardstock:  5-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ (card base)
  • Basic Black Cardstock: two 5-1/4″ panels (front & inside) and 4-1/8″ x 2-1/2″ (front)
  • Basic White Cardstock:  4″ x 3″ (embossed/stamping), sentiment label die cut from Festive Finishes Dies, and 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ (inside panel)
  • Peaceful Prints 12″x12″ Specialty Paper: 5-1/8″ x 3-3/8″(front layer)

The Creating

With StazOn Black Ink, stamp the garland image from Festive & Bright Stamp Set along the bottom edge of the 4″ x 3″ Basic White panel and the 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Basic White inside panel. Color the stamped images with the Real Red and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers. Pass the top portion (above the stamping) through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the pine patterned Wintry 3D Embossing Folder with the No. 1 and No. 4 sandwich. Also run through the envelope flap. Stamp the sentiment on the die cut label with Real Red Ink,.

I wrapped a 5″ piece of the Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around the embossed panel and secured to the back with Mini Glue Dots. I added a small bow from the same ribbon next to it with a Mini Glue Dot and I popped on the sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the embossed panel to the 4-1/8″ x 2-1/2″ Basic Black panel. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back. I adhered the remaining panels with liquid glue as shown and popped on the decorated embossed layer.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Sympathy Card

Here is another card that I made at the Inkin’ Krew Retreat. It is a design by team member, Cindy Blaine using the Nature’s Harvest Bundle (Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set + Harvest Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. I love the color’s that Cindy chose. So fall and yet softly so. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crumb Cake Cardstock:  4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ (card base) and a branch die cut from Harvest Dies.
    • Basic White Cardstock:  4″ x 5-1/4″ (front panel), longest label die cut from Harvest Dies, and 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside panel) and 4″ x 2-1/2″ (stamping/die cutting)
    • Calypso Coral Cardstock: wheat die cut from Harvest Dies
    • Cork 12″x12″ Specialty Paper: 4″ x 1″ (front layer)

    The Creating

Place the Basic White front panel inside the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder with the No. 1 and No. 4 plate sandwich and pass it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Use a Blending Brush dipped in Crumb Cake Ink to add color to the embossed panel. Adhere it to the card front. Also adhere the branch and wheat die cuts.

With Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the “Sending healing thoughts” sentiment from Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set onto the Basic White label. Stamp the cone flower image on the 4″ x 2-1/2″ Basic White panel. Color the floral image with Stampin’ Blends: Light Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Calypso Coral and Light and Dark Old Olive. Die cut with the coordinating die. Adhere to the card front.

With Crumb Cake Ink, stamp the cone flower image on the corner of the Basic White inside panel and the Basic White Medium Envelope. Add the inside “So sorry for your loss” sentiment from Prized Peony Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. Adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

Use Paper Snips to trim the ends of the Cork strip at an angle on each end. Attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Top with the stamped Basic White label.

Idea: This card would be pretty for any occasion. As a sympathy card, I chose not to include the bronze Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots, but for a different occasion that would be a great embellishment.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Frightfully Cute Easel Card

This precious easel card is created with the Frightfully Cute Cling Stamp Set from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. It was designed by Inkin’ Krew team member, Gloria Goller. I love that she used non-traditional Halloween colors and the Black & White Gingham Ribbon! She also made us a sweet treat holder that you can see at the end of the blog. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock:  4-1/4″ x 11″ (card base)
    • Basic Black Cardstock:  3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ (front panel)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3″ x 4″ (inside), the smallest die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies, and the smallest die cut from Layering Circles Dies
    • Cute Halloween 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 4″ (front panel) and 5-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ (env)
    • Black Glitter Paper: 2-1/4″ x 1/2″

    The Creating

With the Paper Trimmer, score the 4-1/4″ x 11″ Flirty Flamingo along the long edge at 2-3/4″ and 5 1/2″. Reinforce the folds with a Bone Folder. Splatter both sides with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker by flicking the brush tip from the inside of the cap edge, outward toward the cardstock. Add splatter to one side of the 3″ x 4″ Basic White panel and with Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp a bat in the top left and lower right corners. Stamp “Happy Halloween to you” on the Stitched Rectangle die cut, “batty for you” on the circle die cut, and three bats on the envelope front.

To assemble the card, adhere the 3″ x 4″ DSP (Bats) to the black panel. Apply adhesive to the lower half of the black panel and center it on the Flirty Flamingo card front (the adhesive should only be below the score line). Pop the stitched rectangle on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

Adhere the stamped Basic White panel to the inside. Add the Black Glitter strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment circle die cut with a Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish the inside panel with three Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins. Adhere the DSP (skulls & ghosts) on the envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trim the excess with Paper Snips.

And, here’s the awesome treat box that Gloria made to hold a Mini Moon Pie! So cute! And yummy, too!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Warmth Gift Card Holder

I arrived safely home yesterday from the Inkin’ Krew Stampin’ Retreat in Blue Ridge, GA with 11 wonderful projects from my team members to share with you. It was so much fun and a wonderful time of sharing and getting to know each other. We’ve already picked a date for next year! We would love to have you join our team and the event next year. I’d be glad to talk to you about it.

In the meantime, here is one of the projects. It was designed by my wonderful team member, Karen Ksenzakovic at Creative Stamping Designs. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Cardstock:  1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ (sentiment), 4″x 5-1/4″ (embossing), and 2″ x 4-1/4″ (bookmark)
    • Sahara Sand Cardstock:  4-1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (card back) and 1-3/8″ x 3-3/8″ (sentiment layer)
    • Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper: 12″ x 5-1/4″ (card), 2-1/4″ x 6″ (env flap) and 1/2″ x 6″
    • Silver Foil Sheets: two smallest snowflake die cuts from Stitched Snowflake Dies

    The Creating

With the Paper Trimmer, score the 12″ x 5-1/4″ Peaceful Prints DSP at 4″ and 8″. Cut from the top of the 4″ score line, diagonally to the bottom outside left corner. Add Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the bottom edge of the triangle panel and fold in to make the left pocket. Adhere the last panel to the Sahara Sand 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel.

Cut the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White in half diagonally. Place the bottom right half in the Wintry 3D snowflake Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Save the other half for another project. Adhere to the right side of the DSP with liquid glue along the right and bottom edges to form the back pocket.

On the 1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White, stamp the sentiment from Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set in Sahara Sand Ink. Cut using the 2nd largest narrow Stitched Rectangle Die. Adhere to the 1-3/8″ x 3-3/8″ Sahara Sand. Pop onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere the snowflake die cuts with a few drops of liquid glue.

On the 2″ x 4-1/4″ Basic White, center and stamp the sentiment from Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set in Sahara Sand Ink. Cut the sentiment with the largest Tailored Made Tags Die and insert an 8 1/2″ piece of black Baker’s Twine, doubled…inserted in the hole…ends through the loop on the other side, to make the bookmark.

Adhere the DSP on the envelope flap and trim the excess with paper snips. Adhere the strip to decorate the front of the envelope. Add the gift card of your choice to the back, right pocket.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card for the Krew Retreat

I am so excited! I leave tomorrow for a Stampin’ Retreat with 11 other team members from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew in Blue Ridge, GA. As part of our festivities, we are doing a Shoebox Share where we bring card kits for a card we designed for each of the ladies in attendance. We will go home with 11 different cards! How fun! This is the card I made. It features the Merriest Moments Bundle (Merriest Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set + Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and 16 coordinating dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock:  4 1/4″ x 11”, scored at 5 1/2” (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock:  4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (front panel) and 3″ x 5″ (stamping/die cutting)
    • Be Dazzling 6×6 Specialty Paper*: 1″ x 2 1/2″ (die cutting)

    The Creating

I ran the Basic White panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder with the stitched rectangle die in place inside the folder [Be aware: I have seen videos stating the folder is not made to support this rectangle die at the same time as embossing, recommending the embossed image be die cut thereafter. I have found that the die snugs in place and it has not damaged my folder in any way with repeated runs. However, use together at your own risk.]

I placed the embossed panel on the card front, ensuring even margins, and lightly marked the top left and bottom right corners of the die cut opening with a pencil. I then used the marks to line up the stitched rectangle die on the card front, secured it in place with correction tape, and passed it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. There are two stitched rectangle die cuts left – one for the inside of this card and one for another project.

I stamped the sentiment on stitched rectangle die cut in Pear Pizzazz Ink. I stamped the leaves on the envelope with Pear Pizzazz and the poinsettias with Petal Pink Ink. On the Basic White 3″x 5″ panel, I stamped the large and small poinsettias in Petal Pink Ink, and two leafy sprigs and two smaller fir sprigs in Pear Pizzazz. I die cut these with the coordinating dies. I also die cut the small blooms from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper* from Sale-a-bration.

I adhered the embossed panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I inserted the sentiment die cut through the opening on the front of the card so that it was perfectly in place, opened the card front and marked the left edge of the die cut lightly with a pencil. I stamped the images to the left of the mark as shown. All pencil marks were erased. I closed the card front, applied the glue to the back of the sentiment die cut and inserted it through the opening to adhere it into place.

On the front, I popped on the leafy die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a Stampin’ Dimensionals on the lower right corner of the poinsettia and liquid glue where it touched the leaves. I tucked the fir die cuts in, trimming with Paper Snips if needed. I added the sparkly blooms with Mini Glue Dots and embellished with three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Sparkle of the Season Halloween Fun Fold for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for September! Today we are sharing “Halloween Fun” projects. You will find links at the bottom of my post to hop you along the way to my teammate’s projects. Be sure to visit them all to see how each interpreted the theme. I hope you will enjoy what I made for you!

I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle (Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set + Seasonal Swirls Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog (page 58) to make this “Halloween Fun” card.  It is a fun fold that I saw presented by Connie Stewart at Simply Simple Stamping.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 8″ x 5-1/4″, scored at 4″ and 6″ (inside panel), the 4th largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the tag die cut from Beautiful Trees Dies
    • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: 2nd largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the pumpkin die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Basic Black Cardstock: bat die cut and broom die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: pumpkin leaves die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Bumblebee Cardstock: broom die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Pattern Party Host DSP: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (front panel), 1-3/4″ x 5″ and 6″ x 2-1/4″ (env)

    The Creating

I began by adhering the 4″ x 5-1/4″ DSP panel to the front of the Basic White Thick card base. I centered the 4th largest die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (I saved the cut out for another card).

Next, I stamped the “Wishing You A Trick-Or-Treating, Candy-Eating, Frightful-Delightful Time!” sentiment from A Wish for Everything Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie Ink centered in the left (and largest) section of the Basic White inside panel. I added the bats from Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped “Happy Halloween” from Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set on the tag die cut in Pumpkin Pie Ink.

I adhered the 1-3/4″ x 5″ DSP to the middle section of the panel. I folded the inside panel so that it makes a valley at the 4″ score and a peak at 6″ score (this will “hide” the DSP panel). I adhered the largest panel (with the sentiment) to the inside of the card base, leaving an even margin around the edges. I closed the card front and applied adhesive to the folded edge that is visible through the die cut opening and inserted the Pumpkin Pie Stitched So Sweetly die cut into the opening to glue it into place (being sure to line up the scalloped edges). Super easy!

I stamped the bats on the top left corner of the Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die cut and on the front of the envelope. I snipped the broom handle from the Bumblebee broom die cut and adhered the “straw” portion over the Basic Black broom die cut. I dry fit the Seasonal Swirls die cuts onto the Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die cut and then adhered them in place. The bat, the top pumpkin leaf and the pumpkin are popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The others are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the decorated Basic White die cut onto the Pumpkin Pie die cut (in the opening) with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the sentiment tag with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals being sure to center it so that it did not impeded the opening of the card front. Lastly, I adhered the remaining DSP to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess with Paper Snips for a coordinating set.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season Christmas Card

This card is made with the Christmas Season Bundle (Christmas Season Photopolymer Stamp Set + Seasonal Labels Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. I volunteered to create and present a card using this bundle at our upcoming Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting on Sunday. Our team stamps together quarterly via Zoom/FB and it’s lots of fun. It’s my first time presenting, so if you happen to think about me Sunday, say a little prayer all goes smoothly :). If our stampin’ meeting sounds fun and you would like to talk about joining us and getting a discount on your Stampin’ Up! products, drop me an email and I’ll tell you how! Enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crumb Cake Cardstock:  4 1/4″ x 11”, scored at 5 1/2” (card base) and 3″ x 7″ (stamping/die cutting)
    • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock:  4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (front panel)
    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (embossing)
    • Painted Christmas 12×12 DSP: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front panel), 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ (inside strip)

    The Creating

I stamped the sentiments with Real Red Ink using the Stamparatus (optional) on the inside of the card and on the Crumb Cake panel. [Tips:  Due to the fine lines of the sentiments, I find the Stamparatus helpful when stamping them on darker colored cardstocks so that they can be stamped twice if needed.  I placed the label die on the cardstock to assist with approximate placement.  It can be fine tuned when die cutting.]

I stamped the leafy image in Soft Succulent Ink on the inside of the card, on the Crumb Cake panel and on the edge of the envelope. I stamped the pine sprigs twice each in Evening Evergreen Ink on the Crumb Cake panel and the envelope. I stamped the pinecone detail image in Early Expresso Ink on the Crumb Cake panel and on the envelope (mask the leafy stamped image if necessary).  I stamped the pinecone overlay in 2nd generation Soft Suede Ink on the envelope and on the Crumb Cake panel.  On the inside of the card base, I stamped 3 berries in Real Red (just ink 3 or you can mask one on the stamp before inking). I repeated on the envelope and the Crumb Cake panel (all 4 berries).

I die cut the images on the cardstock with the coordinating dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  I used Paper Snips to trim one of the berries from the other three. I also passed the Evening Evergreen panel through the Stampin’ Emboss Machine inside the pine design Wintery 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the embossed panel and the DSP panel to the Cherry Cobbler panel leaving the same margin around the outer edges. Then I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2” Ribbon around the panel, over the seam, and secured it to the back with Mini Glue Dots.  I adhered the panel to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I dry fit the die cuts on the card front.  First, I adhered the pinecone to the card with liquid glue and then made two “bundles” with the remaining elements attaching them together with Mini Glue Dots:  1) the leafy image, a gold holly leaf and a berry, 2) the two pine sprigs, 3 berries and 2 gold holly leaves.  I adhered these to the back of the sentiment label and applied the decorated label to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back to pop it up. I adhered the DSP strip inside the card with liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of the Earth DSP Scraps Thanksgiving Card

This is a fun card that utilizes little paper scraps from your favorite Designer Series Paper. It doesn’t require measuring or coloring and the stamping is minimal. I used scraps from the Beauty of the Earth 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper from the 2020-22 Annual Catalog for this Thanksgiving card. The sentiments are from A Wish for Everything Cling Stamp Set and the dies from Harvest Dies in the July – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog. I hope you enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock:  4 1/2″ x 11”, scored at 5 1/2” (card base)
    • Bumblebee Cardstock:  two wheat die cuts from Harvest Dies (and scrap strips if you’d like)
    • Beauty of the Earth 12×12 DSP: scrap strips (mine range from 1/4″ to 1/2″ thick and 3 1/4″ to 4″ long) and 6″ x 2 1/4″ (envelope flap)

    The Creating

I placed the wheat die cut onto Bumblebee Cardstock and roughly cut around it with Paper Snips. I then placed the cardstock onto the Foam Adhesive Sheet and trimmed it to match (I pieced two foam pieces together longways to accommodate the length). I peeled the release paper on one side of the foam and applied it to the cardstock. I passed it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the wheat die, then flipped the clear part of the sandwich over (not disturbing the contents) and ran it through again, upside down. I find this ensures a clean cut through the thickness of the foam. I cut another wheat die from Bumblebee Cardstock without the adhesive.

I dry fit the scrap strips of DSP on the card front to finalize placement and do any desired trimming. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front. I peeled the remaining release paper from the foam on the wheat die cut and placed it on the card front. I used Early Expresso Ink to stamp the sentiments from the A Wish for Everything Cling Stamp Set on the card front and the inside.

I glued two DSP strips to the bottom edge of the inside of the card and then adhered the 2nd wheat die cut. I trimmed excess overhang from the bottom edge with the Paper Snips. I added a 1/4″ Bumblebee Gingham Trim bow with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (it fell in a recessed area) to embellish the card front. I adhered DSP to the Basic White Medium Envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (Tip: apply the glue to the flap) and trimmed the excess DSP with Paper Snips.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!
