Best Time of the Year

I used the Stampin’ Up! Still Scenes Bundle to create this card with traditional autumn colors to share with you today.  I live in the South where snow isn’t prevalent, so I was inspired to use this set in a versatile, non-snowy way.

I was also inspired by the colors in the Sunday Stamps Challenge. You too, can play along at

Here were the color requirements for this week’s challenge.

I started by using the Woodland Stitches Embossing Folder to emboss a dark green 5 ¼” x 4” layer and adhere it to a Whisper White Cardstock base with Snail Adhesive.  I used the trio of trees die cut on the same cardstock and removed the base and the far left tree with my snips.  From Crushed Curry Cardstock I used the 2 ¼” circle die from Stitched Shapes and the new Paper Trimmer (coming soon for customers) for a 5 ¼”x ½” strip.  I stamped the house scene with Soft Suede Ink colored with markers and then cut with the 1 ¾” stitched circle.  The message is stamped on Whisper White in Soft Suede and punched with Banner Triple at 1”.  The gray polka dot paper is from the Come Together DSP cut at 5 ¼” x 2 ½”.  The colored house scene and the top tree are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The rest with Snail Adhesive.  I finished by adding two Pumpkin Pie colored sparkles from Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Supplies are listed below.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did making it.  Happy Stamp Dabbling!

Such a pretty scene – love all the trees! I don’t have that stamp set – that little house is adorable! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

What a cute card! I love the layering and your die cut trees tucked around the house are perfect! 🙂
