Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys Pattern Play Anniversary Card

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary! So tonight I’m sharing the card I made for him. I used the Pattern Play Bundle from the 2020-21 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and the Darling Donkeys Photopolymer Stamp Set (free with a $50 retail purchase) from the Jan-Feb 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic Gray Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ card base.
  • Peony Garden DSP: Largest Stitched Rectangle Die and a 4″ x 3/8″ stip (inside).
  • Real Red Cardstock: 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle Die.
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel (inside).
  • Basic Black Cardstock: 2″ x 3″

The Creating

  • With Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamp the donkey on the Basic White Stitched Rectangle Die cut.
  • I colored it with Stampin’ Blend Markers: Light and Dark Smokey Slate (donkey), Light Basic Black (mane & tail), Dark Petal Pink (ears), Light and Dark Real Red (rose) and Dark Olive Green (stem and leaves). I used the Color Lifter to highlight the nose and ears.
  • I adhered the layers on the card base as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • I cut a 2″ x 3″ piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet and adhered it to the Basic Black Cardstock. I arranged the Playful Alphabet letters on top and ran through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I arranged the letters on the card front then peeled the backing and adhered them.
  • I added 3 Resin Heart Embellishments from the 2021 Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.

  • I stamped the inside sentiment from the Many Mates Cling Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black Ink on the inside Whisper White panel and added the open hearts from the Pattern Play Photopolymer Stamp Set in Real Red Ink. I adhered the DSP strip to the bottom edge and then glued the decorated panel to the inside of the card base.
  • I stamped the open hearts randomly in Real Red Ink on the envelope flap.
