Stamp Dabbles

I took my Kerry Blue Terrier, Keelan O’Shea, to the vet this week. I made this card for Dr. Harry because I appreciate all he does for us and I want him to know that two recommendations have had positive results for our fur baby. I used the Stampin’ Up! Pampered Pets Cling Stamp Set and the Layered Circles Dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The design was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest from Patsy Waggner at Stamps to Die For. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

• Basic Gray Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
• Basic White Cardstock: 3 of the 5th from smallest smooth circle die, 2 5/8″ x 5 1/2″ (front) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
• Real Red Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• Basic Black Cardstock: 3 of the 5th from the smallest scallop circle die

The Creating

I stamped the 3 critters in Tuxedo Black Ink on the Basic White circles and colored them with Stampin’ Blends: Soft Suede Light and Dark, Basic Black Light and Dark, Gray Granite Light and Dark, and Dark Real Red for the collar. I also added the back of the dog image to the inside panel and the envelope and colored as the one on the front. I also stamped the Thanks sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set on the inside panel.

I adhered the stamped circles to the Basic Black scallop die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the Real Red panel and the Basic White panel to the Basic Gray card base. I dry fit the circles and trimmed a little off the top edge of one and the bottom edge of another (cats) with my Paper Trimmer to line up with the card edges and adhered them with liquid glue. I popped the pup up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. He’s the star of the show! I adhered the inside panel and added 3 Matte Black Dots with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool to embellish the front.
