Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy Christmas Card and Product Sneak Peek

Tonight’s card is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Artisan Team Demonstrator, Manuela Geiswinkler. You can see her card here. The products used are from the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle. There are a couple of things you should know about this bundle…

  1. It’s a fantastic deal because it includes 2 stamp sets, dies and Designer Series Paper at a 10% discount for $70.50. Usually bundles are one stamp set and the coordinating die set. This one even has the DSP!
  2. The Curvy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Classic Christmas DSP is only available until January 4th and are not for purchase separately. The Quite Curvy Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Curvy Dies will be carried forward into the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.

There is a link to a printable flyer flyer below as well as to pictures of all the products included in the bundle. Enjoy the card (and did you see the product Sneak Peek yet? If not, keep reading! 🙂

The Paper Cuts

  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ for the card base; 3″ x 3 3/4″ panel and 2 1/2″ x 1″ strip for the sentiment.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″, 2 3/4″ x 3 3/8″ and 1″ x 3″ for die cutting.
  • Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper: 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and 6″ x 6″ x 2 1/4″.
  • Shaded Spruce Cardstock: 5 sprig die cuts from Curvy Dies.

The Creating

  • With Cherry Cobbler Ink, stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Curvy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set randomly on a Whisper White panel so it will peak out as a background behind the decorative panel. Blend Cherry Cobbler Ink with a blending brush or sponge over the stamped sentiments. If you look closely at the top photo you will notice the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog Product Sneak Peek. I used the new Stampin’ Up! Blending Brushes for this step! Apply the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Pass the small white panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the dotted die from Curvy Dies. Adhere these two pieces to the Cherry Cobbler panel and then to the card base.
  • Use Versamark Ink to stamp Merry Christmas on the strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, sprinkle with White Stampin’ Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Flag the right side with the Banner Triple Punch. Adhere to the lower left of the card.
  • Stamp the birds in Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White and color with Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. Cut them out with the coordinating dies. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.
  • Arrange the sprig die cuts and the birds where you want them. Adhere the sprigs with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and pop the birds on top.
  • Apply three Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • Stamp the greeting on the inside panel with Tuxedo Black Ink. Use the Curvy Die to cut the edge of the 1/2″ strip and apply to the bottom of the panel. Apply both to the inside of the card.
  • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the envelope flap and apply the DSP strip. Trim excess with Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! Fine Art Floral Sneak Peek – Jan to June 2021 Mini Catalog

Tonight I used a new stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 Mini Catalog which will go live on January 5, 2021. I can’t wait for you to see it. Here’s the sneak peak of the fabulous Fine Art Floral Suite. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″) for the card base.
  • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ strip.
  • Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: “Just Want to Say” die cut (approx 2 1/2″ x 3″) from Floral Gallery Dies and 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside.

The Creating

  • Apply the DSP panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Apply Mini Glue Dots to the back of the acetate and adhere to the DSP panel. Tip: I lifted the glue dots from the roll with the Take Your Pick Tool, pinched them into a ball, then applied them to the back of the gold design (which is silver, if you want to switch colors). They are not visible from the front.
  • Apply dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the “Just Want to Say” die cut and apply to the acetate. Tip: I used a clear block to apply pressure while the glue set.
  • On the Whisper White panel for the inside, stamp a second generation floral image. Stamp the greeting in Versamark Ink, top with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Apply the panel to the inside of the card.
  • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the envelope flap and apply the DSP strip. Trim excess with Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! Warm Hugs and Evergreen Forest Christmas Card

A live Christmas tree is my favorite part of the Christmas Season. It brings me joy from the moment it is inside (and the trauma of getting it in the stand is over). This card is all about the trees, too! Isn’t the Evergreen Forest embossing beautiful? Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Real Red Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/2″ (scored at 5 1/2″) for the card base and a stitched circle die cut from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: a small scrap for the tree die cut from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ for the inside and 1 3/4″ square for the die cut label from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 1 3/4″ and a 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ strip for the inside.

The Creating

  • With Mossy Meadow Ink, stamp the round greeting on the Whisper White square and the tree on the Pear Pizzazz scrap. Run them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the coordinating dies from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Place the Mossy Meadow panel into the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Repeat with the envelope flap.
  • Adhere the DSP to the bottom of the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Add the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe Ribbon around the panels to hide where they join. Secure on the back with Mini Glue Dots. Repeat with the Real Red Braided Linen Trim just underneath. Adhere the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Pop the die cut round sentiment and the tree to the red stitched circle die cut with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Apply a Stampin’ Dimensional to the top and bottom of the stitched circle to apply it over the ribbons.
  • Adhere the 1/2″ strip of DSP the the Whisper White inside panel and stamp the sentiment in Real Red Ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy Birthday Treat Tin

My Sister and Brother-in-Law are coming over tonight in celebration of his birthday. I made this cute gift tin filled with his favorite treats and representing his favorite team – The Alabama Crimson Tide. Our intent was a “tailgate” party to watching the Alabama vs LSU football game. You see, my husband went to LSU and the rest of us are Alabama Grads. Much to our chagrin, COVID has struck again, and our game has been cancelled. No worries, we’ll still get to enjoy each other’s company…a rare treat these days.

The Paper Cuts

  • Smoky Slate Cardstock: largest scalloped circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 2nd largest smooth circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies.
  • Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper: largest smooth circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies.

The Creating

  • Stamp the elephants from the Wildly Happy Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the Whisper White circle die cut on the left edge. Ink “Birthday” on the greeting from Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set with Cherry Cobbler Ink and stamp it under the elephant’s ear. Ink “Happy” and stamp it above “Birthday”. Tip: If you prefer you can mask the words off with a PostIt or washi tape to ink and remove it to stamp.
  • Color the elephants with Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. Add Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend to the ground.
  • Apply Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • Write your message to the recipient on the back of the Smoky Slate scalloped circle die cut. This will show through the window of the tin when mounted.
  • Adhere the Wrapped in Plaid circle to the Smoky Slate circle with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Pop the stamped circle on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere to the tin top with a couple of Mini Glue Dots to minimize visibility.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness Thanksgiving Card

Today I was looking for a Thanksgiving Card that I could easily create in multiples. I started out stamping the floral spray in black and coloring it with stamping blends, but then tried stamping it in monochromatic Soft Suede and loved it! A little Wink of Stella and I was sold. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Soft Suede Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″) for the card base, a 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ strip and the Painted Labels die cut.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels, a Stitched Shapes circle die (1 7/8″), and a scrap for the stamping (2″ x 2 1/2″).
  • Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 2″ and 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

The Creating

  • With Soft Suede Ink, stamp the floral spray from the Autumn Goodness Photopolymer Stamp Set on the envelope flap and the Whisper White scrap.
  • Use the coordinating die from Autumn Wheelboro Dies to cut out the floral spray. Apply Wink of Stella to the flowers.
  • Place one of the Whisper White panels in the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
  • Stamp the sentiments on the stitched circle die cut and the inside panel with Soft Suede Ink.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the floral die cut and Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining pieces.
  • Apply a double Linen Thread bow with Mini Adhesive Dots and apply 3 Metallic Pearl Embellishments.

Stampin’ Up! Trimming the Town with Winter Snow Christmas Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! This month the Inkin’ Krew team theme is “Christmas or Happy Holidays”. I hope you have fun looking at all the projects the talented ladies have created. There are links at the bottom to guide you along your way.

During this time of COVID, I believe most of us have realized that it’s the people in our lives that make our time so very merry. I chose this pattern of the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and the sentiments for this card with that in mind. It’s a simply stamped card with just a little dry embossing with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base, a 5 1/2″ x 1 1/8″ strip and a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ rectangle.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels and a 5 1/4″ x7/8″ strip.
  • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 3″ rectangle, a 5 1/4″ x 5/8″ strip and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the envelope flap.

The Creating

  • With Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp “So Very Merry” from the Warm Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set on the right end of the Whisper White strip. Stamp “Friends & Family are the Truest Gifts of Christmas” from Wrapped in Christmas Cling Stamp Set centered on one of the Whisper White panels.
  • Place the other Whisper White panel into the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and roll through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  • With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the layers together: the DSP square to the Poppy Parade square, the embossed panel to the card front and the the greeting strip to the Poppy Parade strip to the embossed panel. Adhere the DSP strip to the inside panel to the inside of the card.
  • Pop the rectangle layers on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add three adhesive backed All the Trimmings Resin Embellishments.
  • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, apply the DSP and fussy cut the overhang with Paper Snips.

This card is super easy and would be great for making multiples to send to the people in your life that you may be missing during the holidays. So spread a little cheer and look forward to when we’ll all be together.
