Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch Fun Fold Birthday Card

This is such a fun, cute and easy fun fold. I have seen several, but it was Demonstrator Tammy Beard, who’s card inspired the making. It features the Pansy Patch Bundle along with the coordinating Pansy Petals 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper which is going on sale July 1st at 15% off! There is more about the upcoming Designer Series Paper Sale below. In the meantime enjoy the card! I hope you give it a try.

The Paper Cuts

  • Fresh Freesia Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card front/inside card – opens left), 3″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base w/panel – opens right) and two Pansy Dies single petals die cuts.
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ (front/inside layer) and 2 Pansy Dies large leaf die cuts.
  • Pansy Patch 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper: two 4″ x 2 3/4″, 1/2″ x 3 3/4″, and 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ all in different patterns. I chose one of the patterns for the envelope flap: 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″.
  • Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: a large petal trim die cut, two small petal trim die cuts, and a pansy “beard” die cut from Pansy Dies.
  • Bumblebee Cardstock: a pansy center die cut from Pansy Dies (it cuts 3 but you will only use one on this card).
  • Basic White Cardstock: a large petal die cut from Pansy Dies, the 2nd smallest Stitched So Sweetly Dies scallop label and two 4″ x 2 3/4″ panels (for stamping/writing).

The Creating

I began by adhering the pansy pieces together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue…just little dots along the edges of the petal trim pieces and at the base of the leaves, smaller petals, “beard” and center. I applies Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back so it would be ready to go.

Next I stamped the sentiments from Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and horizontally centered on one of the Basic White panels with Evening Evergreen Ink. On the remains panel, vertically, I added the small pansy in the lower right corner with Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee and Evening Evergreen Inks.

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the Evening Evergreen panel centered on the larger (left) side of the Fresh Freesia card base w/panel. Then I added the Fresh Freesia card front/inside centered on it. I also added the stamped Basic White panels and the card base and card front DSP panels. I added the larger DSP strip to the bottom edge (after slanting the ends with my Paper Snips), added the sentiment label and topped it with the remaining smaller DSP strip.

Now to add the gorgeous die cut pansy! One tip…don’t place it too close to the edge of the fold or the card front won’t open fully. Then to embellish, I added 3 Evening Evergreen 2021-23 In Color Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool. The card fits into a standard Basic White Medium Envelope which I adhered a piece of coordinating DSP to and trimmed away the excess with Paper Snips.

I hope you enjoy the card. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Card

I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle, the Beauty of Friendship 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum for this friendship card. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Night of Navy Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Beauty of Friendship 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (front panel)
    • In Color Shimmer Vellum: 4 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ (largest Seaside Shells die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ (Painted Labels die cut), 3 3/4″ x 5″ 5 (shells) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)

    The Creating

I began by die cutting the large die from Seaside Seashells Dies in Soft Succulent 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum. So pretty! Then I ran it back through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder for the pretty details.

Next I stamped the coordinating seashells on the Basic White panel. Check out the instructions here for lining it up all at once on the Stamparatus so that they line up with the embossing folder and the large die. This time I just stamped them on scraps and lined them up with the coordinating shell on the die…a piece of Washi tape can be helpful. I stamped the shells with Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Soft Succulent Inks. Note: You will only need 4 as the sentiment label covers one. I embossed them and then die cut them. Then I trimmed any connectors (paper pieces bridging them together) with my Paper Snips and added Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backs of the 3 smaller shells.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock and die cut it with the Painted Labels Die. I trimmed the right side with my Paper Trimmer so it would fit flush against the right side of the card. I also stamped the inside sentiment and added the shells and dots at the bottom with Soft Succulent and Night of Navy Inks. I repeated this designer on the envelope.

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the front (Beauty of Friendship DSP and Night of Navy panels) and inside panel. For the vellum, I applied liquid adhesive behind the shells and small dots of liquid glue at the junctions of the sea fronds. I wanted the edges to be free for a little lift and texture. I popped up the sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensionals and used liquid glue on the largest shell.

To embellish, I added Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

I hope you enjoy the card. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Friendship Thank You Card

I used the Encircled in Friendship Bundle and the Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper to make this Thank You card. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pale Papaya Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (front panel), 1/2″ x 4″ (inside strip) and 2 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ (envelope flap)
    • In Color Shimmer Vellum: 4″ x 4″ (largest, outline die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside) and the 3″ x 3 1/8″ (for die cut)
For this card, the two dies used from Encircled in Beauty Dies are the 1st one (cut in Pale Papaya In Color Shimmer Vellum) and the first one on the second row (cut in Basic White Cardstock).

    The Creating

I began by die cutting as indicated above with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I stamped the sentiment from the Encircled in Friendship Cling Stamp Set with Soft Succulent Ink. I also added the sentiment on the inside panel (it’s slightly off center to the left to accommodate the DSP strip).

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the front and inside panels. For the vellum, I placed the sentiment die cut on top and flipped it over so that I had a guide to place the liquid adhesive. I wanted the edges to be free for a little lift and texture. Then, I popped up the sentiment stamped die cut up with Stampin’ Dimensionals which hid any adhesive that may have shown through the vellum. The DSP panel was adhered to the envelope flap and trimmed with Paper Snips for a coordinated set.

To embellish, I added Pale Papaya 2021-23 In Color Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Friendship Card

I received the Encircled in Friendship bundle from my sweet upline, Amy, yesterday and I couldn’t wait to use it! The Encircled in Friendship Cling Stamp Set has beautiful sentiments, floral images, and a little bit of coloring. The Encircled in Beauty Dies are incredible! I had to cut one of each right away. In addition to cards, they will be great frames for scrapbooking. Thank you, Amy! BTW, the True Love 12×12 DSP will be going away at the end of the month. Grab it while you can and enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (cardbase).
    • Basic White Cardstock: largest lace edge die from Encircled in Beauty Dies, 5 5/16″ x 3 15/16″ (front panel) and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside panel).
    • True Love Designer Series Paper: largest Stitched Rectangle Die (front panel); left over strip from the edge (inside).
These are the incredible dies! I have more playing to do! I need to cut some in colors…maybe that pretty Shimmer Vellum?

    The Creating

I began by stamping the small floral image around the die cut with Tuxedo Black Ink (no measuring involved, just winged it…not perfect, but it’s all good!). I added the sentiments in the middle and on the inside panel. I colored the flowers with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I repeated on the inside panel and the bottom edge of the envelope.

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the front and inside panels and the die cut left over edge on the inside. I popped up the decorated Encircled Beauty die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To embellish, I added Matte Black Dots between the floral images with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Shimmer Vellum Birthday Card with Art Gallery Bundle

Sunday, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew had our Quarterly Meeting and a few of our talented Demonstrators presented cards for us to make. This card is inspired by the card Karen Ksenzakovic presented. It features the gorgeous 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum embossed with the lovely Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. The flattened photographs don’t do the Shimmer Vellum the justice it deserves, but the 2nd photo shows it best. It’s oh so pretty! The Art Gallery Bundled savings will end on June 30th. If you don’t have it, it’s a great one to get because it includes two different flower images, two-step stamping and lots of sentiments that we use all the time. I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pale Papaya Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
    • Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum: 3 3/4″ x 5″
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ for stamping/die cutting and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)

    The Creating

I began by stamping the larger floral image from the Art Gallery Stamp Set in 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pale Papaya Ink on the right side of the 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White panel (see die cutting layout below for general placement). I then added the 2nd step floral image in Pale Papaya Ink (without stamping off). I stamp the stem and leaf image with Soft Succulent Ink in the lower right corner. These colors are so pretty together!

Next, I die cut the stamped images with the coordinating dies from Floral Gallery Dies and the 2nd largest Stitched So Sweetly Die. I passed the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

I used a Blending Brush dipped in Soft Succulent Ink to add a little color in the center of the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and added the Happy Birthday stamp to the bottom edge.

To assemble the card, I placed Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the back of the shimmer vellum where the die cut would cover it and adhered it to the Soft Succulent panel. I adhered both to the card base. I adhered the stem/leaves with liquid glue and popped the floral image up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also popped the scallop die cut up on the the shimmer vellum to (which covered the liquid glue underneath the vellum).

To embellish, I added Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Jewels using the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool. I added a Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel and envelope I duplicated the floral stamping and added the Best Wishes sentiment.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thank You Card with Fading Technique

I used the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (Beauty of Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set and Beautiful Trees Dies) to make this thank you card. I love the soft blended colors and the fading trees that make it feel like we’re in a misty forest. It was inspired by a card created by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, LeeAnn Greff. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Very Vanilla Cardstock: die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels.
    • Pool Party Cardstock: scrap for the bird die cut.

    The Creating

With Evening Evergreen Ink, I stamped the sentiments on the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and on the lower right corner of the inside panel. Then I stamped the trees on the two Very Vanilla Cardstock panels and the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. I used the Fading Technique which is simply to ink once and stamp multiple times until the ink fades away in order to create depth (as here) or motion (ie, like a ball rolling). Be sure when you do this that the full stamp image is evenly on the cardstock, or, if it does overhang the edge of the card that your subsequent images are a little less than the previous one so that the darker ink on the part of the stamp that overhung the edge (and did not stamp off) does not show on the next image thus making it two tone.

I used Blending Brushes to add first Soft Succulent Ink and then Evening Evergreen Ink along the “forest floor” and then Pool Party Ink and Bermuda Bay Ink for the sky line.

To assemble the card I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the two panels to the card base. I popped the sentiment label up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the die cut bird with a Mini Glue Dot.

To embellish, I added Pool Party Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

    Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Notecard

I used the Artistically Inked Bundle along with the coordinating Expressions in Ink 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper for this Notecard. This is a super fun set of products and while I didn’t use them all on this particular card, the Suite is well worth the splurge! Enjoy.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 11 x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: two 5 1/2″ x 4″ panels (I cut a 5 1/2″ strip from the short edge of the piece with the pink and orange ink dabbles and then cut the two 4″ panels).
    • 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum: 5 1/4″ x 2″ (leaf die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 3″ (for stamping/die cutting)

    The Creating

I stamped the floral image with Pale Papaya Ink twice on the Basic White Cardstock and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating die from Artistic Dies. I also die cut the leaves using the 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum. So pretty! I snipped the two lower leaves off and separated them with my Paper Snips so that I could tuck them in where wanted.

With Polished Pink Ink, I stamped the hello sentiment in the lower left corner of the panel (the one with the most ink dabbles) and the “dots” to the inside of the flowers. I applied the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the leaf die cut with liquid glue as well, however, the next time I die cut it I will apply a piece of Adhesive Sheet first because the shimmer vellum wanted to twist/lift slightly…pressure from a Clear Block on top got the job done! I adhered the flower on the top left corner and popped the second one up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. With Mini Glue Dots, I tucked the two separated leaves underneath. With the Take Your Pick putty end, I applied Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little sparkle to compliment the shimmer paper.

On the inside panel I stamped the floral image in Polished Pink Ink and a leaf image in Soft Succulent Ink. I also added a couple of pink dots and just a hint of a Pale Papaya floral image to balance out the design width and colors before adding the panel with liquid adhesive. I duplicated the floral image and leaves on the Basic White Medium Envelope for a matching set.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Meets Pansy Petals Birthday Card

The flowers in the Pansy Petals DSP along with the pictures in the front of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog inspired tonight’s card. I used the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle which includes the Butterfly Brilliance Cling Stamp Set and the Brilliance Wings Dies. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 10 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
    • Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper (4 patterns): 4 3/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 3/8″ x 4″ (strip), 2 1/2″ x 2″ (large butterfly), 2″ x 1 1/4″ (medium butterfly), 2″ x 1″ (small butterfly) and 2 1/4″ x 6″ (env).
    • Basic White Cardstock: Tasteful Label Dies die cut and 4 3/4″ x 4″ (inside panel).

    The Creating

    • I began by adhering the DSP panel to the front and the DSP strip to the inside, right edge with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • I used Evening Evergreen Ink to stamp the sentiment from Pansy Patch Stamp Set on the die cut from Tasteful Labels Dies. I also stamped the birthday sentiment on the inside panel.
    • I ran the DSPs with the butterfly dies through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I positioned them on the card front with the label die. Once happy with the arrangement I adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • I added three Soft Succulent 2021-23 In Color Jewels to the label.
    • On the inside panel I added two tone butterflies created by inking in Pale Papaya Ink and then “rolling” the edges and touching the center on the corner of a Calypso Coral Pad or Soft Succulent Stamp Pad.
    • I adhered the DSP to the envelope with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trimmed the excess with Paper Snips.
    • I adhered the stamped background panel to the Bumblebee panel to the Soft Suede panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I also adhered the stamped strip to the inside edge.
    • I added a strip of Stampin’ Seal to the lower left of the card. I wound Linen Thread around 3 fingers several times and then applied to the glue and spread it out a little. I topped it with the sunflower with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I embellished with Bumblebee 2020-2021 In Color Enamel Dots.
    • The decorated panel is popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

If you need any stamping supplies or a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email me with any questions at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!
