Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You and Ornate Thanks

Good evening and thank you for stopping by! This card combines all things girly – fashion, make-up, pink, flowers, and stitches – with the awesome Ornate Thanks sentiments. The cursive fonts is oh, so, perfect for a girly card and the mix and match sayings are very versatile. Lovely Lipstick finds it’s way into a lot of my cards. I’m sure going to miss it when it goes away at the end of May. Time to stock up! For now, enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You Gift Card Set

I have a sweet, young friend who is in her second year at college. I thought she would enjoy this set of note cards using the Beautiful You stamp set. There are 2 of each design for a total of 6 cards and 6 envelopes wrapped in a matching belly band.

THE CUTTING

  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 6 – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 6 – 4″ x 2 3/4″; 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Seaside Spray Cardstock: 6 – 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″; 2″ x 11″

THE CREATING

  • I stamped the images and sentiments in Gray Granite ink.
  • I colored them using Stampin’ Blends. Tip: Don’t lay your freshly colored images on your desktop to dry. As the alcohol dissipates they will stick to the desktop and leave a faint shinny imprintpossibly a layer of paper as well.
  • I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies on the 6 Seaside Spray and 6 Whisper White pieces.
  • I used a Stitched Shapes Circle Die on the small piece of Whisper White.
  • I raised the 6 stamped Whisper White layers and the Circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used Snail Adhesive on the Seaside Spray layers and Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the belly band for added strength. The belly band is just wrapped around and secured (no scoring).
  • I applied 3 Pearl Basic Jewels to each of the “Life Looks Beautiful On You” cards.
