Stampin’ Up! Masculine Birthday Cards with World of Good Memories and More Card Pack

My husband has started paying me a compliment…when he needs a card he asks to look through my Stampin’ Up! Card Box which houses the cards I’ve made. I’m flattered! This week though, it became obvious I haven’t made any masculine birthday cards lately. Well, it must be fixed! Enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the cards. Please email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com with any questions, if I can be of assistance with your stamping creativity, or if there is something specific you’d like to see. Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Birthday

This card features the So Sentimental Bundle from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog. It includes my favorite die set, Stitched So Sweetly, and the So Sentimental stamp set. I also used the woven Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog which will go live for customers on August 4th.

This card was inspired by the one pictured on page 151 of the 2020-21 Annual Catalog. It’s changed up a bit. Enjoy!

The Paper

  • Seaside Spray Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11. scored at 4 1/4″
  • Bumblebee 2020-22 In Color DSP: 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 5″ and the second largest die from Stitched So Sweetly dies.

The Creating

  • Apply both confetti stamps from So Sentimental on a block. Stamp first and second generation around the edge of the Seaside Spray card base.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the die and repeat the confetti. Add Wink of Stella to the word Confetti.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment in Crushed Curry ink (or Bumblebee – I chose CC because it’s a little darker for the sentiment). Add the confetti in Seaside Spray.
  • Emboss the Mint Macaron strip. Remove 1/4″ horizontally and save for the inside of the card. Flag the wide strip with the Banner Triple Punch. Apply to the Bumblebee DSP with Liquid Glue and trip any extra overhang from the left.
  • Wrap the white faux linen ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the DSP and tie in a bow.
  • Pop the label with Stampin’ DImensionals.
  • Glue the decorated DSP to the card front.

  • Adhere the inside panel and top with the textured Mint Macaron strip across the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by. Please email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com with any questions or if I can be of assistance with your stamping creativity.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Simply Stamped and Embossed Birthday Card

Tonight’s card is a simply stamped and embossed birthday card using products from the Forever Greenery suite of products, However, the star of the show is the new Just Jade 2020-22 In Color. Isn’t it lovely?

The Paper

  • Just Jade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper: 1″ strip
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and a 2 1/4″ x 1 5/16″ oval Stitched Shapes die cut.
  • Very Vanilla Medium Envelope

The Creating

  • Emboss the card front with the leafy embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders.
  • Cut the 1″ DSP strip to 7/8″ and adhere to the card front. Save the remaining piece for the inside of the card.
  • Wrap the open weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around the card and knot. This ribbon is awesome! It is buttery soft, so easy to work with and light to mail.
  • Use Just Jade Ink to stamp the sentiments on the Very Vanilla die cut, the inside panel and the leaf image on the inside panel and envelope.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the die cut on the card front. Tip: the pokey end of the Take Your Pick Tool is great for removing the release paper from the back of the dimensionals.
  • Add three Flowers for Every Season Gems with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Tip: Place a small dot of glue where you want the adhesive to live and use the Take Your Pick putty tip to pick up the gem and place it on the adhesive.
  • Adhere the small leftover strip of DSP to the inside panel.

Thank you for stopping by. Please email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com with any questions or if I can be of assistance with your stamping creativity.

Stampin’ Up! Blossoms in Bloom Card for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to the Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! This month the Inkin’ Krew team is creating “Birthday” themed cards and I am featuring the Blossoms in Bloom bundle and the Many Mates stamp set from the new 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It also showcases the new 2020-22 In Color products. Enjoy!

The Paper

  • Bumblebee Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″, 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ for the large floral outline die from Many Layered Blossoms Dies.
  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock:  4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panels (front & inside) and a scrap for the sentiment (3/8″ x 2 5/16″)
  • Vellum Cardstock: 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ for a large floral outline die from Many Layered Blossoms Dies.

Creating the Card Front

  • Adhere the Whisper White panel to the card front and the Misty Moonlight panel on top.
  • Cut the large floral outline die from Many Layered Blossoms Dies from Vellum Cardstock using your die cutting machine. Adhere it to the Misty Moonlight layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Tip: choose locations where the outline is thickest such as the leaf clusters and the floral centers.
  • Stamp the large blossom image from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set with VersaMark Ink onto Bumblebee Cardstock (at the time of the making the Bumblebee Ink was not yet available to order, but it is now and you could use it instead). Tip: for large stamps I like to use my Stamparatus. If a spot does not get enough even pressure to stamp clearly all you have to do is close the door and press where needed. It lines up perfectly and works great!
  • Line up the large floral outline die from Many Layered Blossoms Dies over the stamped image and die cut with your die cutting machine. Tip: I use washi tape to secure the die in place so that it doesn’t scoot as I apply it to the plates. Carefully remove the die, but leave the cut pieces in their place on your cutting plate. (Your Take Your Pick tool may come in handy here). This will serve as your pattern to layer your pieces. Tip: Australian Demonstrator, Kylie Bertucci, has a video on Paper Piecing using Press n Seal that you can view here. I tried it and found I stuck to the Press n Seal more than the paper did which led to rearrangement of my cut pieces. My talented team member, Mary Deatherage at Stamps-N-Lingers, had success with it though and you can view here video here. It may work great for you.
  • Do a dry fit to place the flower petals in place over the vellum outline die cut. Decide which petals you would like to be popped and apply Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up. Apply the others with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Save the outline portion for the inside of the card.
  • Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and apply it to a strip of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots. Pop it on the card front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots in Bumblebee.
So worth it for the added dimension! You can almost see them flutter in the breeze.

Decorating the Inside and Envelope

  • Stamp your sentiment on the inside Whisper White panel with Misty Moonlight Ink (this came early in the Paper Pumpkin Kit, yay!)
  • Adhere the left over Bumblebee outline floral die cut to the inside of the card and trim anything hanging over with Paper Snips.
  • Stamp a portion of the floral stamp on the envelope and add the floral centers. (I had to use Crushed Curry which is a little brighter and not as golden, but I recommend you use Bumblebee now that it’s available).

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Watercolor

This card uses the Timeless Tropical Bundle and Stitched Rectangle Dies. It is accompanied by the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper and Lovely Lipstick Cardstock which we will be saying good bye to shortly. It’s time to stock up! Enjoy tonight’s card.

The Cuts

  • Lovely Lipstick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″; Rectangle Stitched Die (3 15/16″ x 2 5/8″), Floral Die, and 3-Leaf Dies
  • Tropical Oasis DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and 4 1/4″ x 3/4″ Strip

The Creating

  • Use StazOn Black Ink to stamp the Hibiscus and 3 Leaves from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. Stamp the Sentiment on the Stitched Rectangle and on the inside panel (This one came from So Sentimental). Immediately clean your stamps with the StazOn Cleaner. This prevents the permanent ink from building up on your stamps. Because StazOn is permanent, it will not run when watercoloring.
  • Use the Petal Pink, Lovely Lipstick, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Ink to watercolor the flower with the Aqua Painters in layers from dark at the center to light at the edges. The Whisper White will tend to buckle more than Watercolor paper so don’t put too much water down. I just squeeze it into the color on the lid of my ink pads instead of placing it on my paper in this instance. Tip: I also lay the watercolored images face down on my grid paper and apply a large block to the top as it dries to help flatten it.
  • Use the Pear Pizzazz to watercolor in the entire surface of the leaves. Then add Old Olive to one side and Garden Green to the other leaving the veins Pear Pizzazz. Tip: The color inspirations are from the DSP.
  • I wanted more depth in the center so I used matching Stampin’ Blends to the black lines in the image for accent. I used Dark Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink on the stamen and finished with Wink of Stella. I added a little Dark Basic Black Blend to the very center around the base of the stamen. Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix mediums.
  • Use Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the DSP layer to the card front and the Stitched Rectangle to the DSP. Position and add the leaves. Also adhere the inside panel and DSP strip inside the card.
  • Pop the hibiscus with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Bonanza Buddies Birthday Card

There are some stamp sets that just make me smile when I use them. This card is made with one of them…Bonanza Buddies. The animals are just so stinkin’ cute that you don’t have to be a kid to like them. And who doesn’t love those bright, cheerful colors? Unfortunately, this set is going away so get it now while supplies last. It’s linked below.

The Cuts

  • Terracotta Tile Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″
  • Bonanza Buddies Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 4″, 2 banner dies and a 4 1/2″ x 1/2″ strip.
  • Basic Black Cardstock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, 4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″, 2 banner dies and a hat die. I like the way the black makes the colors pop and yet gives a calm place for the eye to settle.
  • Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 3″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″, lion dies, 2 hat dies and 2 pom pom dies.

The Creating

  • The lion is stamped in Crushed Curry and Terracotta Tile Ink.
  • The two hats are stamped second generation Terracotta Tile Ink. The front one is the white die stamped with the confetti package. I just wanted to change up the stripe pattern in the hat next to the stripe pattern of the lion mane.
  • The front pom pom is Terracotta Tile Ink and the inside is Crushed Curry Ink (both first generation).
  • The confetti on the Bermuda Bay layer is from So Sentimental (I put the two on the same block) and is stamped tone on tone with Bermuda Bay Ink.
  • The sentiments are Memento Black Ink.
  • The lions head is mounted on a Stampin’ Dimensional. The Mane has two. The tip of the tail has half a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional and the front pom pom has a Mini.
  • All other layering is adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Note: I cut the blue banner in half and positioned around the orange one.
  • I accented with Wink of Stella to the front pom pom and the blue banner.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Poppy Elements Cards

I realized today that I had not used the Peaceful Poppies Elements from the Peaceful Poppies Suite so I pulled them out and had some fun. I made two cards, the pink one is a CASE from Lori Pinto at Lollypop Paper & Ink and the red one was inspired by the tag shown on page 24 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. I hope you will enjoy them and be inspired as well.

The Cutting

  • Whisper White Cardstock: Two card bases 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″; a 4″ x 5 1/2″ front layer; Painted Labels Die – large tag; scrap for a Sentiment
  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ front layer
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ front layer
  • Basic Black Cardstock: Painted Labels Die – large circular

The Creating

  • Cut the large circular die from Painted Labels Dies from the Whisper White front layer. Save it for later.
  • Adhere the Flirty Flamingo layer on the card base and top with the Whisper White front layer used for the die. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
  • Mount the circular die back in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the center only.
  • Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount the flowers. There is a single layer on the part of the bottom flower not touching the circle, a single layer on the top flower where it is touching the circle and a double layer where it isn’t.
  • Stamp the Sentiment from Peaceful Moments in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and fussy cut with Snips. Use double Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount to the card front.
  • Add sequins from Peaceful Poppies Sequins with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Run the Poppy Parade Layer through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Peaceful Moments on the die cut tag. Adhere it to the circular die.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the poppy elements on the corners. Add the vellum leaf elements with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Add sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins with Mini Glue Dots.

Two quick and easy cards with minimal stamping…just the sentiments.

Isn’t wet embossing the pièce de résistance of cards? It is so awesome and gratifying to see the change from flat and boring to raised and shiny. The camera doesn’t do it justice. Well, there’s lots of it on tonight’s card. The inspiration came from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, page 130. Enjoy!

  • The base is Old Olive 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″.
  • This is topped with a Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel with the floral image from Bloom & Grow stamped with VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with Gold Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
  • I stamped the second floral image on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and repeated the embossing process. Then colored it with the Stampin’ Blends linked below. I cut it out using the coordinating dies. Then cut it in half and mounted it to each side of the Stitched So Sweetly label with Snail after the sentiment was embossed with White Embossing Powder (in hindsite, I think I would like this better in the gold as well).
  • I added some snail to the back center and looped the Gold Shimmer Ribbon to it.
  • Stampin’ Dimensions make it pop.
  • On the inside I embossed the message in gold on a 4×5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
  • I added the sprig with Old Olive ink and colored it in with the Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Old Olive.
  • The layers are adhered with Snail.

Stampin’ Up! Gang’s All Meer Card

I hate to confess that this stamp set was not high on my wish list. As cards started popping up, I thought “Ok, it’s cute”. After using it tonight I’m in love these guys (yes, the bees have competition)…so cute and fun! Plus, it’s a free set with a $50 purchase before March 31, 2020. You can check it out in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure linked below.

The meerkats leaning on the circle was inspired by a Pinterest post I saw by a UK Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator named Sue Bridge. After stamping the images on the front panel and coloring them, I used an exact knife to cut the areas that would overhang. I really like how it integrates the images on the card. The party hat is fussy cut.

On the inside I used two stitched circle dies to cut a border and then stamped the sentiment inside after adhering it with Liquid Adhesive.

It’s hard to see in the photos, but there is Wink of Stella on the pom pom of the hat and the meerkat eyes are colored blue. I used a color lifter to make the Soft Suede sand lighter than the meer cat. You will find links to all the products used below.
