Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Congrats

One of the nice things about stamping is that as your collections grows so do your options. Sometimes we forget we can mix and match, but Stampin’ Up! makes it easy with colors and images that coordinate. Here I used the Bloom & Grow Stamp Set with the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper and the Peaceful Moments sentiments. The star of the show is the DSP. I picked it first, and it chose the stamp and the colors. Enjoy!

The Cutting

  • Whisper White Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and a Stitched So Sweetly Die (largest scallop rectangle)
  • Best Dressed DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4 and 3 – 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ strips

The Creating

  • Stamp the floral image from Bloom & Grow in Tuxedo Black on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Add the sentiment above it. Cut out with the Stitched So Sweetly die.
  • Use Stampin’ Blends to color the image: Dark Petal Pink, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light & Dark Old Olive, Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Mint Macaroon, and Dark Highland Heather.
  • Apply the DSP to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Pop up the rectangle die with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the flower centers.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black on the inside. Add a stip of DSP at the top and bottom with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. (I wanted to add a little extra design since the inside is a flat layer).
  • Add a strip with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the bottom edge of the envelope. I recommend you not substitute the adhesive because it needs to be strong enough to withstand the postal machines. Make sure to get close to the edges to seal them well.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Doubled in Seaside Spray

Here is another card using the Bloom & Grow Bundle.  So fun for Spring and when you are in the mood to color.  Enjoy!

The Cutting

  • Seaside Spray Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: Two 4″ x 5 1/4″ (outside & inside), and 2 Budding Blooms floral dies

The Creating

  • Stamp the sentiment in the center of a Whisper White layer with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  • Use the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder to emboss above and below the sentiment. I used the grid on my desk mat to help line up the folder and card straight. Adhere it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Stamp two floral images on Whisper White Cardtock. Color with Seaside Spray, Old Olive and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Cut out using the Coordinating Dies. Place them on top of each other, place on the trimmer and remove the lower portion. Pop with regular and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals above and below the sentiment. The tip of the leaf was over the card edge so I used my bone folder to curl it around the edge.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink on the other Whisper White layer. Add the sprig stamp under it. Adhere to the card inside with adhesive of choice. I used Snail.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the Centers of the flowers.
  • Emboss the envelope flap to match.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Thank You Card

Spring is finally here and the flowers are blooming! Since we are all staying in these days and the temperatures are warmer, I have been spending some time in the yard. My pink azaleas inspired me to make this card Wednesday evening. Enjoy!

The Cutting

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Lovely Lipstick Cardstock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″, 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside), Budding Blooms floral die, 3 – Budding Blooms sprig dies, and Stitched Rectangle die.

The Creating

  • Emboss the front Whisper White Panel with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Create the sentiment rectangle by stamping the sentiment in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White. Use the rectangle that fits the length and is wider than needed. Run it through the Big Shot twice, lining us the stitched from the first pass to achieve an appropriate fit.
  • Stamp the floral image and 3 – sprigs on Whisper White. Color with Stampin’ Blends (listed below) and cut with the coordinating Budding Blooms dies.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  • Adhere the layers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Pop up the floral die cut image and the rectangle sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add Wink of Stella to the Centers of the flowers.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Celebration Card

Isn’t wet embossing the pièce de résistance of cards? It is so awesome and gratifying to see the change from flat and boring to raised and shiny. The camera doesn’t do it justice. Well, there’s lots of it on tonight’s card. The inspiration came from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, page 130. Enjoy!

  • The base is Old Olive 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″.
  • This is topped with a Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel with the floral image from Bloom & Grow stamped with VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with Gold Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
  • I stamped the second floral image on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and repeated the embossing process. Then colored it with the Stampin’ Blends linked below. I cut it out using the coordinating dies. Then cut it in half and mounted it to each side of the Stitched So Sweetly label with Snail after the sentiment was embossed with White Embossing Powder (in hindsite, I think I would like this better in the gold as well).
  • I added some snail to the back center and looped the Gold Shimmer Ribbon to it.
  • Stampin’ Dimensions make it pop.
  • On the inside I embossed the message in gold on a 4×5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
  • I added the sprig with Old Olive ink and colored it in with the Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Old Olive.
  • The layers are adhered with Snail.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Thank You Card

I am fortunate to have a wonderful up-line who often rewards and helps me with my business. She is a wonderful example to me. This Bloom & Grow Bundle is one of those business rewards. This one’s for Amy.

  • I began with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock scored at 5 1/2″.
  • I used the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder to add the pretty texture to a 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I adhered it to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
  • I stamped the sentiment on a piece of 5 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ Very Vanilla Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink and adhered it to the card front with Snail.
  • I stamped the floral image in Tuxedo Black on a scrap piece (approx 3 1/4″ x 2″) of Very Vanilla and colored it with Stampin’ Blend Combos: Lovely Lipstick, Soft Seafoam and Flirty Flamingo. I cut it out with the coordinating dies.
  • I added a piece of Very Vanilla Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, cutting a slit with my xacto knife in the seam of the card for passage through. I did add a mini glue dot under the bow to secure it in place. (This ribbon has been retired, but there is a Very Vanilla Lace Ribbon in the clearance rack (for $2.80!) that would work just as well).
  • I added the cut out image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • On the inside I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo black on a piece of 5 1/4″ x 4″ Very Vanilla Cardstock. (This would make a great Valentine’s Day card, too).
  • I added the floral image in the envelope corner with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
  • The sentiment begged for a heart. I used the Trio of Tags Dies for this one (in the Flirty Flamingo). It cuts a dual outline and inner. The inner heart is on the inside of the card and I added the outline heart to the front image. Both were adhered with Liquid Adhesive.
  • I stamped the floral image on a Whisper White Medium Envelope in the Flirty Flamingo for the matching set.

You don’t know how hard it was not to add Wink of Stella, lol. Maybe next time ;).
