Stampin’ Up! Celebration Tidings Heartwarming Christmas Card

Amy’s Inkin’ Krew had a Team Meeting Sunday that included online stamping with the Celebration Tidings Bundle. So much fun! Unfortunately the coordinating Plaid Tidings Designer Paper is on back order and I haven’t received it yet. No problem! I improvised with the plaid in the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. The talented Jaimie Babarczy from StampItUpwithJaimie.com shared this card design with us. Thank you, Jaimie! So much fun!

The Paper Cuts

  • Real Red Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″, 3″ x 4″ and 5 1/2″ x 4″
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″

The Creating

  • Emboss the front of the Real Red card base with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Cut the panel of Heartwarming Hugs DSP with the 3rd largest rectangle from Stitched Rectangles dies (measures approximately 3-1/8” x 4-3/8”).
  • Adhere the die cut DSP to the 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” panel of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere these to the card front.
  • Cut the Pear Pizzazz card stock panel with the 4th smallest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle dies (measure approximately 2-1/8” x 3-1/2”). Adhere it to the left side of the card front.
  • Cut the 3” x 4” panel of Whisper White cardstock with the 2nd smallest label from the Celebration Labels Dies. Score it in the middle.
  • Stamp the Mistletoe image from the Celebration Tidings stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on one half of the from of the die cut label.
  • Color the image with Light and Dark Old Olive and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Fold the label along the score line and stamp the inside greeting with Real Red Ink. Adhere it to the Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
  • Cut the remaining Whisper White panel with the largest Celebration Labels die. Stamp the Mistletoe in 2nd generation Pear Pizzazz ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.
  • Stamp the Mistletoe on the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope and color with the Stampin’ Blends as before.
This is Jaimie’s beautiful card. She used Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Cardstock and the Textured Textiles Embossing Folder for her creation.

Stampin’ Up! Dove of Hope Christmas Card

This card features the Dove of Hope Bundle which includes the Dove of Hope Cling Stamp Set and the Detailed Dove Dies at a 10% Discount. My sister and I played with it yesterday and she’s decided to use it for her Christmas card this year. Her version is slightly different and I wished I’d gotten a picture of it to share with you. Alas, maybe you are on her Christmas Card List. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Night of Navy Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White Cardstock: Two 4″ x 5 1/4″, a 3″ x 1″ Rectangle Stitched Die and 4 Detailed Dove Dies – body, 2 wings, tail.
  • Old Olive Cardstock: sprig die from Detailed Dove Dies.

The Creating

  • Stamp the sentiments on the Rectangle Stitched Dies die cut and the Whisper White inside panel with Night of Navy Ink. Add 2nd generation dove to the inside panel.
  • Use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to emboss the Night of Navy panel with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere the Whisper White panel to the card front and the stamped panel to the inside with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Dry fit the remaining elements on the card front.
  • Add the baker’s twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack around the embossed panel and secure in place with tape or glue dots. I know it says it’s black, but when it’s next to the Night of Navy Cardstock it looks navy…I was surprised! (In the “flattened” photo it looks more black than it does on the card – you’ll just have to see it in person.) I liked how it pulled the two colors together better than a plain white ribbon and was a simple embellishment. Glue the embossed panel onto the white panel.
  • I glued the bottom wing, tail section and sprig down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The dove body and the sentiment label are popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The top wing is glued where it touches the body and supported by dimensionals going out.
  • I stamped a 2nd Generation dove on the envelope so it would be between the return address and the mailing address. I added a little Wink of Stella to pull a pale blue into the dove and add some sparkle.

Feels Like Frost Greetings

This Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper is beautiful enough to stand on it’s own for some quick and easy stamped cards.

I used the Season’s Greetings design from the Tags, Tags, Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set inked in Night of Navy. I used the accompanying dies cuts to make 3 snowflakes (tag, top left, and inside). I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them and the flat layers. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise the greeting tag.

I added some sparkle to the card front and tag with Shimmery Crystal Effects. This is a thick, glossy liquid with a very fine glitter incorporated. It’s a little hard to see in the pictures, but is a nice addition to the snow dots on the DSP and to accent the swirls on the tag.

The supplies are listed below. If you have any questions I would love to hear from you in the comments below.

Stampin’ Up! Still Scenes Shaker Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Still Scenes Bundle to create this fun shaker card. The dies and shaker inserts make it super easy.

THE CUTTING

  • Whisper White Card Base – 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″
  • Whisper White Card Front – 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Whisper White for Stamping/Die Cutting – 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″
  • Feels Like Frost DSP Layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Silver Foil Sheet for Die Cutting – 6″ x 1 1/2″
  • Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon – 4″

THE STEPS

  • Stamp the house scene using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder. Heat emboss using the Heat Embossing Tool. Color the image using stamping blends. Use the matching die to cut the image out with the Big Shot. Add Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to the rooftop, trees, bushes and ground. Use Heat Tool to puff.
  • Die Cut the trio of trees on the remainder of the white cardstock. Use a sponge dauber to apply Frost White Shimmer Paint randomly.
  • Use the snow globe die to cut 3/4″ from the top, centered, on the Whisper White Card Front Layer with the Big Shot. Use the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder through the Big Shot to add the texture.
  • Die cut the snow globe base and snow globe embellishment from the Silver Foil.
  • Tie the ribbon in a knot and trim ends as needed.

THE FINISH

  • With Snail Adhesive, adhere the Feels Like Frost DSP Layer to the Card Front.
  • Insert (do not peel the release paper yet) the Snow Globe Shaker Dome into the white die cut embossed layer and position on the from of your card. Holding the dome in place, remove the embossed layer and use a pencil to mark the left, right and bottom edges (don’t worry, they will be covered) as a guide to adhere the other die cuts.
  • Peel release paper from the top of the Snow Globe Shaker Dome, insert it into the hole in the embossed layer and press well around the dome.
  • Use Tombow Liquid Adhesive to adhere the die cut trio of trees and house scene to the Feels Like Frost DSP Layer (be sure to get close to the edges to prevent your filler from getting under them) between your pencil marks. Give it a minute to dry and then add a 1/2 teaspoon of Snowflake Sequins and 1/2 teaspoon of Ice Stampin’ Glitter in the center of the house scene.
  • Remove the release paper from the back of the Snow Globe Shaker Dome and apply Tombow Liquid Adhesive to the edge of the white embossed layer. Apply onto the Feels Like Frost DSP Layer. Press firmly around the dome with bone folder.
  • Use snail to adhere the foil base under the dome. Use balled up mini glue dots on the larger areas to adhere the decorative snow globe base (liquid glue does not adhere to the silver foil well).
  • Use a mini glue dot on the back of the ribbon knot to adhere the bow.
I promise that’s silver embossing and paper strip. Just losing my lighting from the day.
