Stampin’ Up! Heartwarming Hugs Double Wonder Cards

I wanted to repost this card idea featuring the Heartwarming Hugs Suite from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog because it features the Double Wonder Cards (designed by Shannon West) which makes a stack of beautiful cards in a flash. It can be adapted to any Designer Series Paper and Stamp Set you want. The template link is below. So, if you are running a little behind in the busyness of the season this is a good solution to get those card done!

Cards 1 – 4: You’ll notice the first card is different. I was still playing around with colors and ideas…not sure I wanted to add ribbon. I decided to switch to a red border.

The Stamparatus on page 164 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog makes light work when making multiples. For this grouping of cards, I cut eleven 2″ x 2″ squares of Whisper White Cardstock, lined it up in the corner of the Stamparatus and stamped both the frame and the sentiment. It’s a wonderful tool! The Stamparatus:

    • allows re-stamping images that aren’t inked enough or pressed enough.
    • aligns and positions perfectly.
    • makes mass production a breeze.
    • helps arthritic hands stamp with ease (you can even use a rubber brayer to apply the pressure to the lid)

    The Paper

    • Whisper White Cardstock: Two 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheets cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. A 6″ x 8″ for sentiment die cuts.
    • Mossy Meadow: One 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheets cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
    • Real Red Cardstock: Two 8 1/2″x 11″ sheet cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. One 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. A 6″ x 8″ for circle die cuts.
    • Heart Hugs Designer Series Paper: Two sheets cut per template.

    The Creating

I have a few tips and variations to the instructions you will find at the link above (“template” under Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper).

    • Before making the cards: I stamped all 11 sentiments with the Stamparatus and die cut them, adding dimensionals to the back.
    • I die cut 11 of the stitched circle from the Warm Wrapped Dies.
    • I used 10 1/2″ of ribbon for cards 1-4. I applied by placing a strip of Stampin’ Seal vertically on the stitched circle and putting the ribbon in place.

    • I used 6″ of ribbon cut at 2 1/2″ for the banner ends of cards 5-8. I applied with Stampin’ Seal placed horizontally on the stitched circle.
    • I eliminated the ribbon on card 9-10 because there were already 3 patterns and I didn’t want to add another (the stripe in the ribbon).
    • I changed the orientation of card 11 and eliminated the ribbon for the same reason above.

Thank you for stopping by. Please email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com with any questions or if I can be of assistance with your stamping creativity. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Trimming the Town with Winter Snow Christmas Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! This month the Inkin’ Krew team theme is “Christmas or Happy Holidays”. I hope you have fun looking at all the projects the talented ladies have created. There are links at the bottom to guide you along your way.

During this time of COVID, I believe most of us have realized that it’s the people in our lives that make our time so very merry. I chose this pattern of the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and the sentiments for this card with that in mind. It’s a simply stamped card with just a little dry embossing with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base, a 5 1/2″ x 1 1/8″ strip and a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ rectangle.
    • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels and a 5 1/4″ x7/8″ strip.
    • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 3″ rectangle, a 5 1/4″ x 5/8″ strip and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the envelope flap.

    The Creating

    • With Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp “So Very Merry” from the Warm Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set on the right end of the Whisper White strip. Stamp “Friends & Family are the Truest Gifts of Christmas” from Wrapped in Christmas Cling Stamp Set centered on one of the Whisper White panels.
    • Place the other Whisper White panel into the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and roll through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
    • With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the layers together: the DSP square to the Poppy Parade square, the embossed panel to the card front and the the greeting strip to the Poppy Parade strip to the embossed panel. Adhere the DSP strip to the inside panel to the inside of the card.
    • Pop the rectangle layers on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add three adhesive backed All the Trimmings Resin Embellishments.
    • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, apply the DSP and fussy cut the overhang with Paper Snips.

This card is super easy and would be great for making multiples to send to the people in your life that you may be missing during the holidays. So spread a little cheer and look forward to when we’ll all be together.

Stampin’ Up! Coming Home Christmas Card

I’m sometimes asked how I come up with my designs. To be honest, I’m not that creative. They are usually inspired by something I’ve seen or, as in this case, Designer Series Paper. This paper is called Trimming the Town and that is exactly what I did…trimmed the town! Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Old Olive Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base.
    • Whisper White Cardstock: the largest Stitched Rectangle Dies die cut and scraps to stamp the wreath and trees.
    • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper: the largest Stitched Rectangle Dies die cut, a house die cut for the inside and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the envelope.
    • Pool Party Cardstock: a 2 3/4″ x 1 1/16″ Stitched Rectangle die cut

    The Creating

    • With Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the sentiments from Wrapped in Christmas Stamp Set on the Pool Party and Whisper White Stitched Rectangle die cuts.
    • Stamp the two trees and wreath on Whisper White scraps and color them with Stampin’ Blends: Old Olive, Soft Suede and Poppy Parade. Use the coordinating Home Together Dies to cut out.
    • With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the DSP Stitched Rectangle die cut to the card front, the Whisper White Stitched Rectangle and die cut house to the inside.
    • Pop the Pool Party Stitched Rectangle, wreath and trees up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Add the adhesive backed All the Trimmings Resin Embellishments.
    • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, apply DSP and fussy cut with Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! October Paper Pumpkin Kit – Joy to the World

My sister and I get together each month to enjoy making the Paper Pumpkin Kit projects. Some of. them are 3D, some hold treats, some have intricate pieces – they are all awesome. This month’s made 8 elegant Christmas cards. Enjoy!

I encourage you to purchase a subscription – either a month at a time to try it out or 3 to 6 months for the savings. You won’t be disappointed.

The October Paper Pumpkin Kit contained the exclusive Joy to the World photopolymer stamp set and a Just Jade Stampin’ Spot in addition to all of the materials, adhesives and instructions to complete the 8 cards.

The envelopes have a pretty, Cherry Cobbler lining imprinted with wording to echo the card design.

I played a little with the layouts. Shifting from left to center on the floral card. On the wreath cards I changed the orientation for a different look.

I also changed up what was mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Instead of mounting the white embossed piece I popped the wreath and the flowers, gluing the embossed piece flat. That’s the fun, you have the freedom to make it your own.

Here is the Stampin’ Up! video showing how to put this kit together:

If you’re interested in Paper Pumpkin for yourself, you can chose a monthly options or a prepaid subscription in my online store.  It also makes a great gift that you can ship straight to the recipient. There is a gift certificate you can print to give them. To see more information or to purchase Paper Pumking  click here.

Additionally, beginning Monday, October 26th, you can order Paper Pumpkin Kit Refills for the September and October Kits. Hooray! These products are only available while supplies last and require a Paper Pumpkin subscription to order. However, Stampin’ Up! will continue to release other past kit and refill products each month as inventory and demand allow – typically on the 4th Monday of each month. So keep checking the online store for more refills for past kits!

Stampin’ Up! Celebration Tidings Heartwarming Hugs Treat Bag

Here’s another project inspired from Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting that included online stamping with the Celebration Tidings Bundle. It’s like getting two projects in one because of the paper and die variations. I hope you’ll enjoy them. The awesome Amy Koenders at StampWithAmyK.com shared her designed and you’ll see her Plaid Tidings DSP, Poinsettia Dies and Mosaic Gusseted Bag version below.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: largest die from the Celebration Labels Dies and 6 – 1″ x 3″ strips for the candy wraps.
    • Real Red Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 1″ and a heart die (approx 3 /4″ square) from Warm Wraps Dies
    • Whisper White Cardstock: a banner die from Tasteful Labels Dies (approx 1/2″ x 2 1/2″) and a 1 1/2″ square
    • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: round, stitched die from Warm Wraps Dies
    • Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper: berry sprig

    The Creating

    • Adhere the small strips of DSP around 9 Hersey Nuggets (the clear medium envelope will hold another 3 nuggets if you desire). Place them in the Clear Medium Envelope, remove the adhesive backing and close behind the top row of candies.
    • Score the Celebration Labels die cut in the middle and burnish with a bone folder. Add the gold sprig to the front with a Mini Glue Dot so that it cascades to the bottom, center of the die.
    • Stamp the sentiment on the white banner label with Mossy Meadow Ink. Add the label to the Real Red Cardstock and adhere to the top, right of the Celebration Labels die cut (over the stem of the gold sprig).
    • Stamp the “For You” sentiment on the Whisper White square and cut with the coordinating Warm Hugs Die. Apply Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and apply it to the Mossy Meadow stitched die. Add it to the left of the Celebration Labels dies cut. Add the heart die to the center with a mini dimensional.
    • Use Mini Glue Dots on the inside of the decorated Celebration Label die cut to apply it to the bag of candy.

Here is Amy Koenders Beautiful Treat Bag

She used Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce Cardstocks for her Poinsettia Die, Plaid Tidings DSP and Brushed Metallic Cardstock with the sprig die in Celebration Labels Dies. The bag is the Mosaic Gusseted Bag.
