Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope Easter Card

I used the Gift of Hope Cling Stamp Set and the Curvy Dies to make this Easter card. Both are from the January to June Mini Catalog. The cross is from the His Love Cling Stamp Set in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I hope you enjoy the card! I love how it turned out.

The Paper Cuts

  • Thick Basic White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (stamped panel)
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 4 1/8″ (front & inside)
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/16″ (front & inside)

The Creating

  • I began by using the dotted Curvy Die to cut the top 3/4″ of the Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive Cardstocks. I was careful to place the cutting edge of the die toward the larger portion of the cardstock so the hills would be smooth.
  • I stamped the cross from His Love Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink toward the left side of the Basic White Cardstock panel so that the base of the cross would be covered by the hills. The cross is colored with the Soft Suede Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker, the Old Olive Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends Markers, and the Gray Granite Light Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • I adhered the smooth hillside layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front and the thinner dotted hillside layers to the inside of the card.
  • With Old Olive Ink, I stamped the “He Lives” sentiment and the Matthew 28:6 scripture on the card front.
  • I added three Pearl Basic Jewels.
  • On the inside I stamped the greetings from the Gift of Hope Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Curvy Valentine Card

I love the mix of reds, grays and blacks in this card. It’s CASED from a Pinterest post created by Colleen Seymour Crafts. It is made using the Quite Curvy Bundle (Preorder and Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog), the Heartfelt Bundle (2020-21 Annual Catalog) and the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper (2020 Aug – Dec Mini Catalog). This paper is retiring and the last day to order it is January 4, 2020. Don’t miss it, it’s a great pack! There is also a sneak peek of the Resin Hearts Embellishments from the upcoming Jan – Jun Mini Catalog. They are sooo stinkiin’ cute!

The Paper Cuts

  • Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ for the card base and 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Real Red Cardstock: 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ and a scrap for the small heart punch.
  • Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 5 1/2″ and 1″ x 5 1/2″ gray plaid; 2″ x 5 1/2″ and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ black plaid.

The Creating

  • Cut the 2 gray plaid strips of DSP with the fancy Curvy Dies border. Cut the black plaid DSP with the dotted Curvy Dies border. Be sure to note which way the cutting edge of the border die is before you pass it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. You want the cutting edge near the edge of the paper.
  • Stamp the lattice heart stamp from the Heartfelt Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the small piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Punch it out with the scallop heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Also punch the smooth heart from Heart Punch Pack from Real Red Cardstock. The smaller punch in the center is from Real Red Cardstock and punched with a punch I bought at a craft fair probably 25 years ago. They were quite common, but if you don’t have one you can use a die or snips.
  • Dry fit the pieces to decide your placement on the card. I adhered the two hearts together and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The other layers I adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The black plaid piece on the inside is left over from cutting the outside piece.
  • Stamp the outer greeting from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink and the inside greeting from the Heartfelt Stamp Set with Real Red Ink.
  • Apply three (3) red Resin Hearts Embellishments (available January 5, 2021) on the card front.
  • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, adhere the DSP and trim with Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! Quite Curvy Sweet Birthday Card

This card had me at pink, green and gingham! It is a CASEd design from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Jane Proffitt. It uses the exquisite Quite Curvy Bundle. Time is running out to get the Variety version of this Bundle which includes the complementary Curvy Christmas Stamp Set and Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper. I’ve linked both versions below.

The Paper Cuts

  • Just Jade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base and 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 5″ x 3″ panel, a Timeless Label punch, 5″ x 3 3/4″ for the inside and 3″ x 2 1/2″ for the floral die cuts.

The Creating

  • Use the dotted die from Curvy Dies to cut the Just Jade panel. Place the smaller, lower panel in the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Adhere the embossed panel to the bottom of the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Place the Whisper White 5″ x 3″ panel over the dotted Just Jade panel as it will be adhered (showing the top/side borders). When you lift it up off the work surface you can see the shadow of the edge of the Just Jade cardstock underneath. Use this as a guide to line up the Curvy Die deco border so that the curves match. Pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Tip: You can trim the top edge to adjust the fit if needed, so it’s safer to err toward too wide. Adhere to the Just Jade dotted panel. Wrap with the Just Jade Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and tie in a bow.
  • Use Gray Granite Ink to stamp the floral vine from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set 3 times on the 3″ x 2 1/2″ Whisper White cardstock. Color with Just Jade and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Cut out with the coordinating die.
  • Use Just Jade Ink to stamp the greeting on the Timeless Label punch out. Adhere 2 of the floral vine die cuts to the top and bottom edge. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere over the ribbon on the Whisper White deco edge panel. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card front.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the inside Whisper White panel with Gray Granite Ink.
  • Adhere the 3rd floral vine image.
