Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream Thank You Card

This card is made with the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog. It contains the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch and the Sweet Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. This set is super cute, summery and includes images and well sized sentiments for the inside and outside of your cards. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
  • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (front)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 1 3/4 (approx) die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies (front), two 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front and inside) and 5″ x 2″ (stamping)

The Creating

  • With Flirty Flamingo Ink I stamped two ice cream scoops and three ice cream drips on the Basic White Cardstock. I also stamped the sentiments on the Stitched Rectangle die cut and inside panel. Then, I stamped the ice cream scoops on the inside panel and the envelope. These are masked and are second generation impressions (stamp off then on). TIPS: To make the mask I stamped the ice cream scoop on a scrap of computer paper and fussy cut it with my Paper Snips. To create the layers you start with the top image and go backwards…the top scoop first, the middle scoop second.
  • With Soft Suede Ink, I stamped the ice cream cones in second generation ink on the Basic White Cardstock, the inside panel (masking the ice cream) and the envelope. I added the crosshatch image in first generation ink to all.
  • I punched the two stamped ice cream scoops and the stamped cone with the Ice Cream Cone Builder Punch. I fussy cut the ice cream drips with Paper Snips.
  • To assemble, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Basic White panel (TIP: I cut the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die from the center of this panel to use on another project. No one will ever know!), the DSP panel, and the Stitched Rectangle die cut to the card front. I also used it to adhere the inside panel.
  • I adhered the punched ice cream cone with a glue dot at the point and liquid glue at the top. I adhered the two ice cream scoops together with liquid glue and then popped them on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ice cream drips are added with Mini Glue Dots to slightly elevate them.
  • I colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the Flirty Flamingo Dark Stampin’ Blend and added them to the card front. I used Wink of Stella to add a line of sparkle to the lower edges of the ice cream scoops.

Stampin’ Up! Pansy Petals Mother’s Day Card

This card is made with the Pansy Petals Suite of products from the upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog (ordering begins May 4th!). The Pansy Petals 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper is beautiful and contains all five of the new In-Colors: Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Polished Pink Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and the 2nd largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
  • Soft Succulent Cardstock: three of the larger leaf die cuts from Pansy Dies. Did you notice these cut and emboss?
  • Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front), 3/8″ x 5 1/4″(inside), 6″ x 2 1/2″ (env), and pansy die cut with the outline die from Pansy Dies.
  • Basic White Cardstock: 4th largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)

The Creating

  • With Soft Succulent Ink I stamped the “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment from Dressed to Impress Stamp Set in the lower right corner of the small Basic White die cut. I also stamped the inside sentiment from Happy Thoughts Stamp Set on the inside panel.
  • With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, I adhered the two Stitched So Sweetly die cuts to each other, then to the DSP panel and all to the card front. I also adhered the smaller DSP strip to the inside panel and then to the inside of the card and the larger DSP strip to the envelope flap, trimming the excess with Paper Snips.
  • I dry fitted the pansy and leaves, then glued the bottom leaf with liquid glue. The others leaves I popped up with Stampin’ DImensionals. When adding the pansy with Stampin’ Dimensionals (be careful not to place them there the leaves are), I added liquid adhesive to the areas that would touch the popped up leaves.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thank You Card

This card is made with the Beauty of Friendship Bundle from the upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog. This is my first time using it and it was so much fun to create with! I’m already juggling ideas for the next card. I also pulled in two current Designer Series Papers: Forever Greenery DSP and Natural Touch Specialty DSP (which has a beautiful wood texture). I hope you enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Garden Green Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), 3″ x 3 1/2″ (tree die cut), and 4″ x 2″ (curvy die cuts).
  • Basic White Cardstock: two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels (front and inside) and 3″ x 1″ (sentiment label)
  • Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 3 1/2″ (tree die cut), 4″ x 1/2″ (inside), and 6′ x 2 1/2″ (env)
  • Natural Touch Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 4 1/2″ (tree trunk die cut)
  • Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 1″ x 1″ (bird die cut)

The Creating

  • With the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut the tree trunk with branches die from Beautiful Trees Dies in the Natural Touch Specialty Designer Series Paper, the two birds die from the Misty Moonlight Cardstock, the dappled tree top die from the Forever Greenery DSP, and the tree top outline die and the two “grass” die cuts (using the smooth edge of the dotted die from Curvy Dies) from Garden Green Cardstock.
  • I used a Blending Brush to add Misty Moonlight Ink to a Basic White Panel. I began darker at the top and gradually lighter to the bottom for an ombre effect.
  • I stamped the sentiments from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink on the Basic White strip and the inside panel. I die cut the strip with the thinner label die in Beautiful Trees Dies and used the Triple Banner Punch to flag the end.
  • I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the tree trunk die cut to the tree top outline die cut and added the dappled tree top. This worked fine, but next time, I’ll pull out the Adhesive Sheets (I’ve included them in the products linked below) prior to die cutting to make this step easier. I also adhered the layered tree onto the center of the card front panel and topped with the two curvy layers at the base.
  • I also adhered the sentiment tag, inside panel and DSP strip with liquid glue.
  • I popped the birds up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and embellished with Garden Green Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • I adhered the wider DSP strip to the Basic White Medium Envelope flap and trimmed the excess with the Paper Snips.
