Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Birthday Card

I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog to make this birthday card. I hope you enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ (card base)
  • Basic White Cardstock: two 3-3/4″ x 5″ (embossing & inside), 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″ (stamping)
  • Soft Suede Cardstock: 3″ x 3″

The Creating

I began by stamping the sentiments from the Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set in Early Expresso Ink on the two 3-3/4″ x 5″ panels. I stamped the sunflower image in Bumblebee Ink on the lower left corner of the inside panel and the Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the sunflower image on the 2-7/8″ square panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Light and Dark Mango Melody, Light and Dark Soft Suede, Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie and Bronze.

I placed the front panel with he stamped greeting into the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with Plate 1 and Plate 4 sandwich.

To assemble, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the panels to the card front and inside of the card and the colored sunflower to the Soft Suede square. I popped on the Soft Suede sunflower square with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Bumblebee Trinket to the sunflower center with a Mini Glue Dot.

Stampin’ Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card – Sneak Peek

I used the gorgeous Merriest Moments Bundle from the upcoming August-December 2021 Mini Catalog to make this traditional Christmas card. The bundle includes the Merriest Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. The “Embossing Folder” is a slight bit deceptive because while there is an embossing folder, there are also 16 fabulous dies! The “hybrid” refers to the fact that they emboss and cut in one fell swoop. This bundle has my heart! And, the Heartwarming Hugs 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper is a returning favorite. Enjoy…

    The Paper Cuts

    • Heartwarming Hugs 12×12 Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 5 1/4″ x 3/8″ (inside strip) and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (envelope).
    • Real Red Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
    • Garden Green Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ for embossing/die cutting.
    • Basic White Cardstock: 51/4″ x 4″ (inside panel), 3″ x 2 1/4″ (die cutting) and 6″ x 2″ (stamping/die cutting).

    The Creating

I placed the the outline die, the stitched rectangle die and the Garden Green panel inside the hybrid embossing folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I saved the green stitched rectangle cut out for another projects and cut one from Basic White to use for this card.

With Real Red Ink I stamped the greeting on the rectangle die cut and 2 red berry images on Basic White Cardstock. With Garden Green Ink I stamped the greeting on the inside panel, 3 medium holly leaves, 2 small holly leaves, a leafy sprig and the pine sprig. I die cut the stamped images with the coordinating dies.

I used Mini Glue Dots to attach the stamped leaves on and underneath the embossed frame. I adheared the inside panel and the DSP strip, the DSP front panel and the embossed panel with the attached die cut pieces to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I popped the rectangle sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the berries to the corners with liquid glue and Mini Dimensionals (I just tucked them under the overhang with my Take Your Pick Tool). I adhered the DSP panel to the envelope and trimmed the excess with the Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! Sparkle of the Season Halloween Card Sneak Peek

I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle from the upcoming August-December 2021 Mini Catalog to make this fun Halloween card. The bundle includes the Sparkle of the Season Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Seasonal Swirls Dies. There are two other wreaths (stars & holly), sentiments and decorations for multiple holidays. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crushed Curry Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), six leaf die cuts (die cuts 2 at a time), and a broom die cut.
    • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels and four pumpkin die cuts
    • Soft Suede Cardstock: wreath die cut, a broom die cut and 2 leaf die cuts
    • Basic White Cardstock: two 3 3/4″ x 5″ panels

    The Creating

I did a dry fit of the dies on one of the white panels to decided the placement for the sentiment which I stamped in Pumpkin Pie Ink. I ran the stamped panel through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Textured Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut pieces to the panel. To make the broom I snipped the Crushed Curry bristles off and adhered them to the Soft Suede broom. Super cute!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from A Wish for Everything Cling Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie Ink and added the remaining pumpkin die cut. I adhered the card layers as shown and added 5 Crushed Curry Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

Stampin’ Up! Expressions in Ink Gold Glam Notecard

I used the Expressions in Ink Suite of products from the May 2021 – April 2022 Annual Catalog to make this gold, shimmery notecard. I love how it turned out! I hope you do, too! Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pale Papaya Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ (front layer), 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside) and 3″ x 3 1/4″ (floral image).
    • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: Ornate Layers Die Cut
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front layer)
    • Gold Foil Sheet: 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (die cutting)

    The Creating

I stamped the large floral image from Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set in Pale Papaya Ink on Basic White Cardstock and die cut it with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the coordinating die from Artistic Dies. I also die cut the large flower from the largest die and the bottom two leaves of the sprig die from Artistic Dies. I cleaned up the floral edges and separated the leaves from the stem with my Paper Snips. I layered these on top of the Pale Papaya floral stamped die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the precut gold foil three leaf sprig from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack to the back. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals so it was ready to go on the card front.

I dry fit the floral “tag” and the precut gold foil geometric shapes from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack on the Pear Pizzazz die cut to determine placement of the sentiment. I inked it in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled on Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melted it with the Heat Tool. I squeezed a small amount of liquid glue onto the Silicone Craft Sheet, dipped 1/8″ piece of a Stampin’ Sponge and dabbed it on the back of the gold foil geometric pieces and adhered them in place.

On the inside layer and the Basic White Medium Envelope front, I stamped the large floral image in Pale Papaya Ink, added the Pear Pizzazz Inked double leaf image, and the dots image with Bumblebee Ink. I then adhered the card layers and popped on the floral tag. I used my Take Your Pick Tool to add three 2021-23 In Color Jewels to the center of the flower.

Stampin’ Up! Shimmer Vellum Birthday Card with Art Gallery Bundle

Sunday, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew had our Quarterly Meeting and a few of our talented Demonstrators presented cards for us to make. This card is inspired by the card Karen Ksenzakovic presented. It features the gorgeous 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum embossed with the lovely Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. The flattened photographs don’t do the Shimmer Vellum the justice it deserves, but the 2nd photo shows it best. It’s oh so pretty! The Art Gallery Bundled savings will end on June 30th. If you don’t have it, it’s a great one to get because it includes two different flower images, two-step stamping and lots of sentiments that we use all the time. I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pale Papaya Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
    • Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum: 3 3/4″ x 5″
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ for stamping/die cutting and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)

    The Creating

I began by stamping the larger floral image from the Art Gallery Stamp Set in 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pale Papaya Ink on the right side of the 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White panel (see die cutting layout below for general placement). I then added the 2nd step floral image in Pale Papaya Ink (without stamping off). I stamp the stem and leaf image with Soft Succulent Ink in the lower right corner. These colors are so pretty together!

Next, I die cut the stamped images with the coordinating dies from Floral Gallery Dies and the 2nd largest Stitched So Sweetly Die. I passed the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

I used a Blending Brush dipped in Soft Succulent Ink to add a little color in the center of the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and added the Happy Birthday stamp to the bottom edge.

To assemble the card, I placed Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the back of the shimmer vellum where the die cut would cover it and adhered it to the Soft Succulent panel. I adhered both to the card base. I adhered the stem/leaves with liquid glue and popped the floral image up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also popped the scallop die cut up on the the shimmer vellum to (which covered the liquid glue underneath the vellum).

To embellish, I added Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Jewels using the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool. I added a Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel and envelope I duplicated the floral stamping and added the Best Wishes sentiment.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Golden Birthday Card

I used the Artistically Inked Bundle and the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog to create this elegant birthday card. When my order arrived from Stampin’ Up! the first thing I did was pull out this bundle and embossing folder and run them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine! The detail is amazing. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4′′ x 11′′ scored at 5 1/2′′ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel (dry embossing) and 4″ x 1/2″ (sentiment)
    • Gold Foil Sheets: 4″ x 8″ (die cutting) and 4″ x 5/8″ (sentiment layer)

    The Creating

With VersaMark Ink I stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set onto the Basic White strip, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder, tapped off the excess, and melted the powder with the Heat Tool. I repeated the process for the “Best Wishes” sentiment on the inside of the Basic White Thick card base.

I placed the Basic White panel into the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine (folded end first). I also cut two of the large floral die from Gold Foil Sheet.

To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment strip to the Gold Foil strip with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered it near the bottom of the embossed panel. I adhered the embossed panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tip: the pokey end of the Take Your Pick Tool makes quick work of removing the paper from the back of dimensionals.

I cut one of the floral die cuts in half to use on the inside of the card and on the envelope. To adhere the floral die cuts in place I dipped 1/8th of a Stampin’ Sponge into a dollop of liquid glue that I squeezed onto my Silicone Craft Mat and then applied it to the back of the detailed die cut. Tip: put a binder clip on the narrow end of the sponge wedge as a handle and keep in a small rubbermaid container for repeated use. I used my Paper Snips to trim any excess die cut away from the edges.

For the final embellishment I adhered three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels around the die cut image on the front of the card. So pretty and so simple!

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells

This card is made with the fabulous Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle and the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog (and to be carried over to the upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog.) This 3-step combo makes such beautiful, detailed, textured projects…flattened pictures do not do it justice! Wish you could see it in person. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
    • Seaside Spray Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front panel) and 2 1/4″ x 3/4″ (sentiment)
    • Shimmer White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (for die cutting) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)

    The Creating

    • I began by placing the larger Shimmer White panel onto the Stamparatus (don’t use your magnets yet). I then placed the stamps from Friends Are Like Seashells “into”/over the matching space on the large die in Seaside Seashells Dies. I laid the die over the panel and picked up the stamps with the Stamparatus door and removed the die (you can now place the magnets). I stamped the shells with Gray Granite Ink and added the greeting to the Seaside Spray strip.
    • Place the die back over the stamped images and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Then place the die cut into the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, lining up the images, and pass it through.
    • I ran the Seaside Spray panel through the Subtles Embossing Folder for some extra texture.
    • On the inside panel I stamped the sentiment in Seaside Spray Ink and the shells in Gray Granite Ink. I also added some Seaside Spray shells on the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
    • To assemble I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the inside panel and the Seashells embossed die cut to the Seaside Spray embossed panel. I add the sentiment strip and Linen Thread double bow with Mini Glue Dots. The front panel is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The final embellishment is Wink of Stella on the embossed seashells and a few Elegant Faceted Gems.

Stampin’ Up! Fine Art Floral Suite Notecard

This card was created with products from the Fine Art Floral Suite. It’s my favorite suite of products from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. While I’ve used it a lot, I hadn’t braved the Gilded Leafing Embellishment. I’ve been missing out! It’s fun and very pretty. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ (embossed panel)
    • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (front panel) and 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ (floral image)
    • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 1″ x 1 1/2″ (leaf image)

    The Creating

    • I stamped the full floral image from the Art Gallery Stamp Set on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock with Flirty Flamingo Ink. With VersaMark Ink I stamped the 2nd step floral image on top and sprinkled on the Heat & Stick Powder. I heated it with the Heat Tool until it was clear and then pressed the flower into my container of Gilded Leafing Embellishment. I used a stiff paintbrush to remove the excess leafing. Isn’t it pretty?
    • I inked one of the leaves on the stemmed leaf stamp in Pear Pizzazz Ink and stamped it onto a scrap of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.
    • I ran the stamped leaf and flower through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating dies from Floral Gallery Dies. I snipped the leaf from the stem with Paper Snips.
    • I ran the small Crumb Cake square through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock square and knotted a piece of the Fine Art Ribbon around and trimmed the ends. I adhered the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • I stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo Ink on the card front below the embossed panel.
    • The floral image is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaf is tucked in underneath with liquid glue.
    • I added a floral image to the inside of the notecard and on the envelope. It is stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink with the full image in 2nd generation and the top (2nd step) image in 1st generation ink.

Stampin’ Up! Enjoy the Moment Birthday Card

One of the great perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is getting to see the upcoming products early. This card is CASEd from the upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog. It is made with the Enjoy the Moment Cling Stamp Set currently featured on page 59 of the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 3 1/8″ (front panel), 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel), 1 1/2″ x 5″ (embossed sprig) and 2 1/2″ x 1/4″ (sentiment)
    • Just Jade Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front)

    The Creating

    • I tore a scrap piece of computer paper in half to use as a masking template over the Basic White front panel (top and bottom). I used washi tape to hold them and the card panel in place. I applied Just Jade Ink and Soft Suede Ink with Blending Brushes to the panel.
    • With Misty Moonlight Ink, I stamped 1) the two images from the Enjoy the Moment Stamp Set over the colored, masked area, 2) the Happy Birthday sentiment on the small Basic White strip, and 3) the inside sentiment and small image on the Basic White inside panel.
    • Using VersaMark Ink I stamped the long image on the remaining strip of Basic White Cardstock, applied Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (tapping away excess), and melted it with the Heat Tool. I used my Paper Snips to 1) fussy cut the image, and 2) trim the ends of the small sentiment strip and the excess DSP on the envelope flap.
    • The flat panels are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The sprig and birthday sentiment are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Linen Thread bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

    THE CARD

The talented and awesome, Amy Koenders of http://www.stampwithamyk.com designer this card and shared it with us to make at our Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting and we stamped together! To make it we used the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle (Butterfly Brilliance Cling Stamp Set and Brilliant Wings Dies). It is an early release from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and is amazing! You can find a link to all the details for the Butterfly Bouquet Collection below. If you’d like to join our team, I’d love to talk to you about it! There is also information at the Starter Kit quick link under the signature below.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper (Bermuda Bay geometric): two 3 7/8″ x 1″
    • Natural Touch Specialty Paper: 3 1/4″ x 3 7/8″
    • Basic White Cardstock: 1 7/8″ scallop Layered Circle Die, 3 1/2″ x 3″ (die cutting) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
    • Basic Black Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″, 3 3/8″ x 3 7/8″

    The Creating

    • First I stamped a couple of the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance Cling Stamp Set onto the Natural Touch Specialty Paper panel with Gray Granite Ink. It takes a few minutes for the ink to air dry on this beautiful paper (or the heat tool on the low setting would work). I also stamped a couple of these butterflies in the same Gray Granite Ink on the Basic White inside panel and the Basic White Medium Envelope.
    • With Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped the largest butterfly from Butterfly Brilliance Cling Stamp Set on the 3 1/2″ x 3″ Whisper White Cardstock. I colored it with Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends Markers: So Saffron, Mango Melody and Smoky Slate. Then, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the coordinating butterfly on the largest Brilliant Wings Die.
    • With Bermuda Bay Ink, I stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set on the Layered Circles die cut and the “Wishing you…” sentiment (also from Peaceful Moments) on the inside panel.
    • To assemble the card, I adhered the two 3 7/8″ x 1″ DSP panels onto the top and bottom of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic Black Cardstock panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the Natural Touch Specialty panel onto the 3 3/8″ x 3 7/8″ Basic Black panel and then to the larger panel (over the edges of the Bermuda Bay geometric). The layered circle I adhered next with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • This decorated 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic Black panel is popped onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels that were colored with the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend Marker.
    • The inside panel was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
