Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Simply Stamped and Embossed Birthday Card

Tonight’s card is a simply stamped and embossed birthday card using products from the Forever Greenery suite of products, However, the star of the show is the new Just Jade 2020-22 In Color. Isn’t it lovely?

The Paper

  • Just Jade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper: 1″ strip
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and a 2 1/4″ x 1 5/16″ oval Stitched Shapes die cut.
  • Very Vanilla Medium Envelope

The Creating

  • Emboss the card front with the leafy embossing folder from the Greenery Embossing Folders.
  • Cut the 1″ DSP strip to 7/8″ and adhere to the card front. Save the remaining piece for the inside of the card.
  • Wrap the open weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around the card and knot. This ribbon is awesome! It is buttery soft, so easy to work with and light to mail.
  • Use Just Jade Ink to stamp the sentiments on the Very Vanilla die cut, the inside panel and the leaf image on the inside panel and envelope.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the die cut on the card front. Tip: the pokey end of the Take Your Pick Tool is great for removing the release paper from the back of the dimensionals.
  • Add three Flowers for Every Season Gems with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Tip: Place a small dot of glue where you want the adhesive to live and use the Take Your Pick putty tip to pick up the gem and place it on the adhesive.
  • Adhere the small leftover strip of DSP to the inside panel.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Evergreen Forest Preview

Tonight’s card features both dry and wet embossing using new products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog which will go live for customers on August 4th. The Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder was the first thing I knew I wanted to order. It doesn’t disappoint with its level of detail and quick background.

The Paper

  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: a 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ card and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel
  • Whisper White Cardstock: a 4 1/8″ x 5 5/8″ panel

The Creating

  • Emboss the panel with the Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder, leaving room at the top for your sentiment.
  • Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink, sprinkle on White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melt with the Heat Tool.
  • Adhere the embossed panel to the Whisper White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Wrap the Mossy Meadow 3/8″ Diagonal Stripe Ribbon around the card and knot. Trim if needed.
  • Adhere the decorated panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Pardon the background here. The dry embossing photographed more visibly in the natural sunlight instead of the light box It’s actually a patio cushion, lol.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Gift Box for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to the Inkin’ Krew Monthly Blog Hop! This month the Inkin’ Krew team theme is “Celebrate Summer.” I am featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle from the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. Large, brightly colored sunflowers stretching toward the sun make me think of warm summer days. Enjoy!

I decorated a Gold Mini Pizza Box with the large sunflower to hold four (4) 3″x3″ note cards and envelopes. These small cards are great for leaving quick notes on someone’s door if they are not home or for giving tips with a note of appreciation (i.e., the shampoo assistant at the salon).

The Paper

  • Misty Moonlight DSP: 3″ square and four 2 12/16″ squares.
  • Whisper White Cardstock:  approx 4″ x 11″ (large sunflower die cut, two leaf dies , four small sunflower dies) and four 3″ x 6″ pieces, scored at 3″.
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock: four 2 5/8″ squares and four 1/8″ x 2 5/8″ strips (I had these because I decided to cut my first Crushed Curry squares down 1/8″ which turned out to be super cute for the inside.)
  • Gold Foil Sheet: approx 3 1/4″ square
  • Whisper White 3″ x 3″ Envelopes: four (4)

The Creating

  • Stamp the large sunflower, two leaves, and 4 small sunflowers on Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black ink. Color them with the Stampin’ Blends in the Product List below.
  • Cut the colored images out with the coordinating dies.
  • Cut the sunflower outline die from the Gold Foil Sheet.
  • Adhere the larger Misty Moonlight DSP square to the Gold Pizza Box. Adhere the leaves. Pop the large sunflower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Top with the gold foil outline and add 3 Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the center.
  • Emboss the Crushed Curry square with the leafy Greenery embossing folder.
  • Adhere the Misty Moonlight DSP to the card front. Add the embossed layer.
  • Add a strip of Stampin’ Seal adhesive where the small sunflower will rest on the embossed panel. Wrap Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine around 3 fingers 2-3 times and snip. Bring together in the center and place on the Stampin’ Seal on the card front. Loosen as desired (each one of mine ends up different…don’t stress).
  • Pop the small sunflower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Card Inside and Envelope

  • Stamp the sentiment on the inside of the Whisper White cards with Misty Moonlight ink. This one is from Many Mates.
  • Add the small Crushed Curry strip with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
  • Stamp the small sunflower on the envelopes with Crushed Curry ink.

Place your cards and envelopes in the pizza box. I chose to nestle them in tissue paper.

Tie up with Misty Moonlight 2020-22 In Color 1/4″ Ribbon if you desire. It’s not needed to hold the box closed, but it sure will make someone feel special about their gift!

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt and Ornate Thanks

The inspiration for this card is from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, page 75. I love the colors and that it uses a Heart Set in a way that is not Valentine’s. If you like the Heartfelt Set you may want to take advantage of the 10% bundle savings before June 3rd. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″ and a scrap for the sentiment.
  • Terracotta Tile Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and 2 heart punches.
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 3 heart punches.
  • Ornate Garden Specialty DSP: 1 heart punch and a 4″ x 3″ panel.

The Creating

  • Use the Subtle Embossing Folder to add texture to the Terracotta Tile panel. Tip: Spritz with water for a more defined impression. Adhere to card front.
  • Punch a Scallop Heart from Old Olive Cardstock.
  • Use Old Olive Ink to stamp the dotted heart twice. Stamp in Terracotta Tile Ink twice.
  • Use the Straight-edged Heart to punch the stamped images and one from the DSP. Tip: if you need to cut away cardstock to line your punch up, use a post it note as an extension to hold your heart in the punch.
  • Cut one of the Terracotta hearts in half. Adhere the Hearts to the DSP strip and the strip to the embossed panel.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Terracotta Tile Ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the Thanks from Ornate Thanks in Old Olive Ink. Add “for everything” in Terracotta Tile Ink.
  • Adhere a Terracotta Tile heart in the corner and trim the edge with snips.

Links for items used to make this card are listed below or you can browse for other supplies at my Stampin’ Up! shop in the side bar. Use the May Host Code for free gifts from me (if your order is $150 or more you don’t want to use it so that you get Hostess Rewards). See my Rewards Page for full details.

Stampin’ Up! Bloom & Grow Celebration Card

Isn’t wet embossing the pièce de résistance of cards? It is so awesome and gratifying to see the change from flat and boring to raised and shiny. The camera doesn’t do it justice. Well, there’s lots of it on tonight’s card. The inspiration came from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog, page 130. Enjoy!

  • The base is Old Olive 4 1/4″ x 11, scored at 5 1/2″.
  • This is topped with a Very Vanilla 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel with the floral image from Bloom & Grow stamped with VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with Gold Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
  • I stamped the second floral image on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and repeated the embossing process. Then colored it with the Stampin’ Blends linked below. I cut it out using the coordinating dies. Then cut it in half and mounted it to each side of the Stitched So Sweetly label with Snail after the sentiment was embossed with White Embossing Powder (in hindsite, I think I would like this better in the gold as well).
  • I added some snail to the back center and looped the Gold Shimmer Ribbon to it.
  • Stampin’ Dimensions make it pop.
  • On the inside I embossed the message in gold on a 4×5 1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
  • I added the sprig with Old Olive ink and colored it in with the Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Old Olive.
  • The layers are adhered with Snail.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Window Card

I used the Heartfelt Bundle and the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper from the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog (linked below) to make this sweet Valentines card.

I began with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock scored at 5 1/2″. I used the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder directly on the Front Panel, then punched the scalloped heart from the Heart Punch Pack in the right corner.

I stamped the greeting from the Heartfelt Stamp Set in Real Red ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White (one of those 1″ strips from trimming down a 12×12 sheet) and after adhering it with Liquid Adhesive punched it being careful to line up with the previous punched opening.

I added a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Whisper White Cardstock on the inside of the card. I used the scallop heart punch to punch the heart from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. I checked the placement through the window on the front and then added the surrounding images. I closed the card and used liquid adhesive to adhere the punched heart through the opening for accurate placement.

The final touch was three (3) Pearl Basic Jewels on the card front. Links to the supplies used are listed below. Please comment or send me an email if you have an questions.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Watercolor Card

I made this Birthday Card with the Painted Poppies Bundle and sentiments from Peaceful Moments. It is a white embossed watercolor. Watercoloring is so easy and so rewarding.

  • I began with a 4 7/8″ x 3 9/16″ piece of Watercolor Paper. I also used the larger scrap piece that was leftover.
  • I stamped the poppies and leaves from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool.
  • I used the medium tip Aqua Painter and the following Ink Pads to watercolor the images: Crushed Curry, Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive, and Blackberry Bliss. It’s a good idea to have a paper towel on hand.
I had Flirty Flamingo out, but found there was enough variation with just the Lovely Lipstick.
  • I loaded the Aqua Painter with water diluted Lovely Lipstick and tapped it over the focal image for the Watercolor splatter background.
  • I added the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in the top right corner with Blackberry Bliss Ink.
  • I used the Painted Labels Dies to cut out the images on the scrap paper. I popped then up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • On a 4 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock I stamped the poppies in Lovely Lipstick and the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss for the inside of the card.
  • I also added the poppies to a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope for a matching set.
  • I layered on a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock, a 5 9/16″ x 4 1/16″ piece of Lovely Lipstick (I cut the center out with a Rectangle Die to use for a future project) and mounted on a 4 1/4″ x 11″ Blackberry Bliss Cardstock scored at 5 1/2″.
  • Note: I adhered the Watercolor Paper with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the other Cardstock Layers with Snail.
