Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pumpkins Fall Friendship Card

I have been having a great time playing with the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (Pretty Pumpkins Cling Stamp Set + Detailed Pumpkins Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog (page 48). It is so pretty and easy to create great projects with. I hope you enjoy tonight’s card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ (card base), two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels and a 3-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock: filigree pumpkin die cut from Detailed Pumpkin Dies
  • 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum (Pale Papaya): 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
  • Cork 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper: 3-3/4″ x 1 3/4″ die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies.
  • Gold Foil 12″ x 12″ Sheets: one of each pumpkin leaf die cuts from Detailed Pumpkin Dies and a leaf die cut from Intricate Leaves Dies.

The Creating

I began by running one of the Very Vanilla panels through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder with the No. 1 and No. 4 plate sandwich. I repeated with the flap of the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.

Next, I stamped the pumpkin with the leaf print on the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum. I inked the stamp with Bumblebee Ink and then used Sponge Daubers (one for each color) to apply ink on the leaves inside with Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Early Expresso Inks. I dried the ink with the Heat Tool on the low setting. I repeated the pumpkin on the lower right corner of the Very Vanilla inside panel and added the “so thankful for you” sentiment with Pumpkin Pie Ink.

I stamped the “If friends were pumpkins I’d pick you” sentiment with VersaMark Ink on the Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangle die cut, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melted it with the Heat Tool on the high setting.

To assemble I added the embossed panel to the card front and the inside panel to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I applied a 5″ piece of the 3/8″ Fine Art Ribbon across the center of the Cork die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I topped it with the Very Vanilla sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I trimmed the ends of the ribbon with my Paper Snips. Next, I applied the gold leaf die cut, then the filigree pumpkin, the stamped shimmer pumpkin, and then the gold pumpkin leaves. I used the Take Your Pick Tool to pick up and apply three Gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots to embellish.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Card

I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle, the Beauty of Friendship 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum for this friendship card. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Night of Navy Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Beauty of Friendship 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (front panel)
    • In Color Shimmer Vellum: 4 1/4″ x 5 3/4″ (largest Seaside Shells die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ (Painted Labels die cut), 3 3/4″ x 5″ 5 (shells) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)

    The Creating

I began by die cutting the large die from Seaside Seashells Dies in Soft Succulent 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum. So pretty! Then I ran it back through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder for the pretty details.

Next I stamped the coordinating seashells on the Basic White panel. Check out the instructions here for lining it up all at once on the Stamparatus so that they line up with the embossing folder and the large die. This time I just stamped them on scraps and lined them up with the coordinating shell on the die…a piece of Washi tape can be helpful. I stamped the shells with Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy and Soft Succulent Inks. Note: You will only need 4 as the sentiment label covers one. I embossed them and then die cut them. Then I trimmed any connectors (paper pieces bridging them together) with my Paper Snips and added Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backs of the 3 smaller shells.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock and die cut it with the Painted Labels Die. I trimmed the right side with my Paper Trimmer so it would fit flush against the right side of the card. I also stamped the inside sentiment and added the shells and dots at the bottom with Soft Succulent and Night of Navy Inks. I repeated this designer on the envelope.

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the front (Beauty of Friendship DSP and Night of Navy panels) and inside panel. For the vellum, I applied liquid adhesive behind the shells and small dots of liquid glue at the junctions of the sea fronds. I wanted the edges to be free for a little lift and texture. I popped up the sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensionals and used liquid glue on the largest shell.

To embellish, I added Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

I hope you enjoy the card. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts Friendship Card

I used the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set and the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog to create this pretty in Polished Pink friendship card. It features 2021-23 In Colors in the cardstock, inks and embellishments. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Polished Pink Cardstock: 4 1/4′′ x 11′′ scored at 5 1/2′′ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels (inside and card front) and 4 1/2″ x 11″ (stamping & die cutting)
    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 1″ x 4″ (die cutting sprigs)

    The Creating

With Positive Pink Ink I stamped the “Friends like you” sentiment from the Positive Thoughts Cling Stamp Set onto the top right corner of a Basic White panel and the “Hugs, Prayer, Love” on the center of the other Basic White panel. I also stamped three of the floral images on the Basic White strip.

With Soft Succulent Ink, I stamped three of the fern frond images on the Basic White Strip. I also stamped a couple on the inside panel in first generation and second generation ink. I repeated on the envelope including a third generation as well.

I used the floral outline and fern frond outline dies from Nature’s Thoughts Dies to cut out the images with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I also cut out the floral center die three times from the remaining Basic White strip. This die is so cool because you can use your Take Your Pick Tool to raise the small petals so that the color peeks from underneath! I also die cut four of the 3 leaf die and one of the 6 leaf die from the Soft Succulent Cardstock.

To assemble the card, I positioned the fern fronds and adhered the top two with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the bottom one with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added the pink flowers…the top right with liquid glue and the other two with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the white centers with dots of liquid glue. I tucked the small leaf die cuts in with liquid glue.

The final embellishment is three Polished Pink 2021-23 In Color Jewels in the center of each flower.

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Card

I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 Mini Catalog for this friendship card. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base), label die cut from Tasteful Labels Dies, and a 5 1/4″ x 2″ panel for embossing.
    • Shimmer White Cardstock: large die cut from Seaside Seashells Dies.

    The Creating

    • With Gray Granite Ink I stamped the seashells on Basic White Thick Cardstock. I used my Stamparatus so that I could stamp them twice for a slightly darker image. I passed the two larger images through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine in their spot in the large die from Seaside Seashells Dies. I trimmed away the “connector pieces” with my Paper Snips. The starfish image has it’s own outline die.
    • I passed the Basic White Thick Cardstock panel through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I passed the Shimmer White Cardstock large die cut through inside the coordinating Seashells Embossing Folder and trimmed off a section of the “sea fonds” for the card front.
    • With Gray Granite Ink I stamped the sentiments on the Tasteful Labels die cut and the inside of the card. I also added the images to the inside of the card and the front of the Basic White Envelope.
    • I adhered the embossed panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and topped it with the embossed sea fronds. I added the large shell die cut with liquid glue on the area over the fronds and Mini Glue Dots for a little “lift” over the card front. I added the sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The medium shell is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the sea frond and with liquid glue over the label. The starfish is adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the arms on the card and liquid glue on the arms over the label.
    • I added Wink of Stella to the starfish and three Elegant Faceted Gems for a little bling.
