Stampin’ Up! Frightfully Cute Easel Card

This precious easel card is created with the Frightfully Cute Cling Stamp Set from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. It was designed by Inkin’ Krew team member, Gloria Goller. I love that she used non-traditional Halloween colors and the Black & White Gingham Ribbon! She also made us a sweet treat holder that you can see at the end of the blog. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock:  4-1/4″ x 11″ (card base)
  • Basic Black Cardstock:  3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ (front panel)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3″ x 4″ (inside), the smallest die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies, and the smallest die cut from Layering Circles Dies
  • Cute Halloween 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 4″ (front panel) and 5-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ (env)
  • Black Glitter Paper: 2-1/4″ x 1/2″

The Creating

With the Paper Trimmer, score the 4-1/4″ x 11″ Flirty Flamingo along the long edge at 2-3/4″ and 5 1/2″. Reinforce the folds with a Bone Folder. Splatter both sides with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker by flicking the brush tip from the inside of the cap edge, outward toward the cardstock. Add splatter to one side of the 3″ x 4″ Basic White panel and with Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp a bat in the top left and lower right corners. Stamp “Happy Halloween to you” on the Stitched Rectangle die cut, “batty for you” on the circle die cut, and three bats on the envelope front.

To assemble the card, adhere the 3″ x 4″ DSP (Bats) to the black panel. Apply adhesive to the lower half of the black panel and center it on the Flirty Flamingo card front (the adhesive should only be below the score line). Pop the stitched rectangle on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

Adhere the stamped Basic White panel to the inside. Add the Black Glitter strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment circle die cut with a Stampin’ Dimensionals. Embellish the inside panel with three Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins. Adhere the DSP (skulls & ghosts) on the envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and trim the excess with Paper Snips.

And, here’s the awesome treat box that Gloria made to hold a Mini Moon Pie! So cute! And yummy, too!

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Sparkle of the Season Halloween Fun Fold for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for September! Today we are sharing “Halloween Fun” projects. You will find links at the bottom of my post to hop you along the way to my teammate’s projects. Be sure to visit them all to see how each interpreted the theme. I hope you will enjoy what I made for you!

I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle (Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set + Seasonal Swirls Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog (page 58) to make this “Halloween Fun” card.  It is a fun fold that I saw presented by Connie Stewart at Simply Simple Stamping.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 8″ x 5-1/4″, scored at 4″ and 6″ (inside panel), the 4th largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the tag die cut from Beautiful Trees Dies
    • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: 2nd largest die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the pumpkin die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Basic Black Cardstock: bat die cut and broom die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: pumpkin leaves die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Bumblebee Cardstock: broom die cut from Seasonal Swirls Dies
    • Pattern Party Host DSP: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (front panel), 1-3/4″ x 5″ and 6″ x 2-1/4″ (env)

    The Creating

I began by adhering the 4″ x 5-1/4″ DSP panel to the front of the Basic White Thick card base. I centered the 4th largest die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (I saved the cut out for another card).

Next, I stamped the “Wishing You A Trick-Or-Treating, Candy-Eating, Frightful-Delightful Time!” sentiment from A Wish for Everything Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie Ink centered in the left (and largest) section of the Basic White inside panel. I added the bats from Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped “Happy Halloween” from Sparkle of the Season Stamp Set on the tag die cut in Pumpkin Pie Ink.

I adhered the 1-3/4″ x 5″ DSP to the middle section of the panel. I folded the inside panel so that it makes a valley at the 4″ score and a peak at 6″ score (this will “hide” the DSP panel). I adhered the largest panel (with the sentiment) to the inside of the card base, leaving an even margin around the edges. I closed the card front and applied adhesive to the folded edge that is visible through the die cut opening and inserted the Pumpkin Pie Stitched So Sweetly die cut into the opening to glue it into place (being sure to line up the scalloped edges). Super easy!

I stamped the bats on the top left corner of the Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die cut and on the front of the envelope. I snipped the broom handle from the Bumblebee broom die cut and adhered the “straw” portion over the Basic Black broom die cut. I dry fit the Seasonal Swirls die cuts onto the Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die cut and then adhered them in place. The bat, the top pumpkin leaf and the pumpkin are popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The others are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the decorated Basic White die cut onto the Pumpkin Pie die cut (in the opening) with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the sentiment tag with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals being sure to center it so that it did not impeded the opening of the card front. Lastly, I adhered the remaining DSP to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess with Paper Snips for a coordinating set.

Stampin’ Up! Sparkle of the Season Halloween Card Sneak Peek

I used the Sparkle of the Season Bundle from the upcoming August-December 2021 Mini Catalog to make this fun Halloween card. The bundle includes the Sparkle of the Season Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Seasonal Swirls Dies. There are two other wreaths (stars & holly), sentiments and decorations for multiple holidays. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crushed Curry Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), six leaf die cuts (die cuts 2 at a time), and a broom die cut.
    • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels and four pumpkin die cuts
    • Soft Suede Cardstock: wreath die cut, a broom die cut and 2 leaf die cuts
    • Basic White Cardstock: two 3 3/4″ x 5″ panels

    The Creating

I did a dry fit of the dies on one of the white panels to decided the placement for the sentiment which I stamped in Pumpkin Pie Ink. I ran the stamped panel through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Textured Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut pieces to the panel. To make the broom I snipped the Crushed Curry bristles off and adhered them to the Soft Suede broom. Super cute!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from A Wish for Everything Cling Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie Ink and added the remaining pumpkin die cut. I adhered the card layers as shown and added 5 Crushed Curry Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

    It’s All About the Candy

Hello Stampin’ Buddies! I’m having a little fun in the stamp room this evening and wanted to share it with you. I made this cute Halloween Card with the Tags, Tags, Tags Bundle and the Monster Bash DSP.

    THE CUTTING

    • Whisper White Card Base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
    • Pumpkin Pie DSP from Regals Collection: 5″ x 2 3/4″
    • Monster Bash DSP: 4 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
    • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock from Regals Collection: 2″ x 3″
    • Black Cardstock:5 1/4″ x 3″, 4 3/4″ x 3″ and 2 1/4″ x 3″
    • Crumb Cake Ribbon from the Come To Gather Combo – 4″
    • Scraps left over from the Whisper White and the Monster Bash

    THE STEPS

    • I spritzed the Cherry Cobbler piece with water and ran it through my Big Shot in the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. The water softens the paper fibers and gives a really defined impression.
    • I stamped the “It’s All About the Candy” stamp from the Tags, Tags, Tags bundle in Soft Suede ink on the scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I then used the Trio of Tags Dies from the same bundle to cut out the image with my Big Shot. I adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • On the inside I stamped the “Sending A Halloween Hello” from the Tags, Tags, Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie. I couldn’t resist fussy cutting a couple of the images from the Monster Bash DSP paper. I was amused with the jars of “Candy” and that they were called “Ink” and “Scrap of Book”. Someone had fun creating that!

    THE FINISH

    • I used Tombow Liquid Adhesive to Glue the Pumpkin Pie DSP to the largest Black piece, the Monster Bash to the medium Black piece and both to the card front.
    • I used Glue Dots to adhere the ends of the ribbon to the back of the embossed Cherry Cobbler piece.
    • I adhered the Cherry Cobbler piece to the smallest Black piece with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. Then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
