Stampin’ Up! Warm Hugs and Evergreen Forest Christmas Card

A live Christmas tree is my favorite part of the Christmas Season. It brings me joy from the moment it is inside (and the trauma of getting it in the stand is over). This card is all about the trees, too! Isn’t the Evergreen Forest embossing beautiful? Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Real Red Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/2″ (scored at 5 1/2″) for the card base and a stitched circle die cut from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: a small scrap for the tree die cut from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ for the inside and 1 3/4″ square for the die cut label from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 1 3/4″ and a 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ strip for the inside.

The Creating

  • With Mossy Meadow Ink, stamp the round greeting on the Whisper White square and the tree on the Pear Pizzazz scrap. Run them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the coordinating dies from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Place the Mossy Meadow panel into the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Repeat with the envelope flap.
  • Adhere the DSP to the bottom of the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Add the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe Ribbon around the panels to hide where they join. Secure on the back with Mini Glue Dots. Repeat with the Real Red Braided Linen Trim just underneath. Adhere the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Pop the die cut round sentiment and the tree to the red stitched circle die cut with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Apply a Stampin’ Dimensional to the top and bottom of the stitched circle to apply it over the ribbons.
  • Adhere the 1/2″ strip of DSP the the Whisper White inside panel and stamp the sentiment in Real Red Ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Trimming the Town with Winter Snow Christmas Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! This month the Inkin’ Krew team theme is “Christmas or Happy Holidays”. I hope you have fun looking at all the projects the talented ladies have created. There are links at the bottom to guide you along your way.

During this time of COVID, I believe most of us have realized that it’s the people in our lives that make our time so very merry. I chose this pattern of the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper and the sentiments for this card with that in mind. It’s a simply stamped card with just a little dry embossing with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base, a 5 1/2″ x 1 1/8″ strip and a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ rectangle.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels and a 5 1/4″ x7/8″ strip.
  • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 3″ rectangle, a 5 1/4″ x 5/8″ strip and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the envelope flap.

The Creating

  • With Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp “So Very Merry” from the Warm Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set on the right end of the Whisper White strip. Stamp “Friends & Family are the Truest Gifts of Christmas” from Wrapped in Christmas Cling Stamp Set centered on one of the Whisper White panels.
  • Place the other Whisper White panel into the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and roll through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  • With Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the layers together: the DSP square to the Poppy Parade square, the embossed panel to the card front and the the greeting strip to the Poppy Parade strip to the embossed panel. Adhere the DSP strip to the inside panel to the inside of the card.
  • Pop the rectangle layers on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add three adhesive backed All the Trimmings Resin Embellishments.
  • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, apply the DSP and fussy cut the overhang with Paper Snips.

This card is super easy and would be great for making multiples to send to the people in your life that you may be missing during the holidays. So spread a little cheer and look forward to when we’ll all be together.

Stampin’ Up! Heartwarming Hugs Gift Set

This project features products from the Heartwarming Hugs Suite in the Stampin’ Up! August – December 2020 Mini Catalog. It includes Mini Coffee Cups, Mini Coffee Carriers and Warm Wraps Dies to make super cute packaging. So much fun! Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Real Red Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 2 1/8″ (2), 2 5/8″ x 2 1/8″ (2), scallop dies (4 short and 4 long), stitched circle die (3), heart die (2) from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: circle die (3) from Warm Wraps Dies.
  • Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper: 5 3/8″ x 2″ (2), 2 1/2″ x 2″ (2), angular tag (3) and cup wrap (4) from Warm Wraps Dies.

The Creating

  • Stamp the sentiments in Real Red Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die.
  • Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the angular die cuts to the stitched circle die cuts. Add the die cut sentiments on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. On two of them use a Stampin’ Dimensional to pop on the heart dies. Use a Mini Glue Dot to secure these two to the cup top.
  • With liquid glue, adhere the tabs of a cup wrap to the straight edge of another with liquid glue. Repeat (the 4 pieces become 2). Apply glue to the top and bottom edges of the wraps and apply the scallop dies (2 on each edge…the seams will match). When the glue was dry I used my Bone Folder to slightly curl the wrap which made it easier to close the circle and glue the final tab of each. They will slide onto the bottom of the cup and snug into place without additional adhesive (just like Starbucks ones).
  • Adhere the DSP layers to the cardstock layers and adhere to the carrier sides.
  • Tie Whisper White 1/2″ Faux Linen Ribbon around the box and make a bow. (Love this ribbon…going to need another spool or 2!)
  • Slip a Glitter Star Ornament into the remaining tag, running the cord out the top. Cut off the knot and tie onto the bow. Secure the bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

There are so many possibilities with this packaging. I plan to put hot chocolate pouches in the cups and add a Round Tin filled with mini marshmallows as gifts this Christmas. A gift card will easily tuck in as well. Links for the individual products used are below as well as to the suite.

Stampin’ Up! Wrapped in Christmas Card

This card features the Wrapped in Christmas cling stamp set and Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. Enjoy!

I began by stamping “Noel” in Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White Cardstock and colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends. I cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die as well as the next size up die from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. I glued these together with Liquid Glue.

I wrapped the Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon around the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper before gluing it to the card base then added the sentiment label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The knot is added with a Mini Glue Dot. Three Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels are added embellishment.

The inside is stamped with Tuxedo Black ink with a Real Red heart that was left over from the previous Coming Home treat boxes. I added a strip of matching DSP to the inside panel and to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Heartwarming Hugs Double Wonder Cards

These cards feature a sneak peak of the Heartwarming Hugs Suite from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog which will go live for customers on August 4th. It includes the Warm Hugs photopolymer stamp set, the Wrapped in Christmas cling stamp set, the coordinating Warm Wraps Dies dies, the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, and the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Stripe Ribbon used in this project.

My sister and I wanted to do the Double Wonder Cards originally designed by Shannon West. It was brought to my attention by Chelsey Christensen at www.creativechelsey.com. Today we did it. Enjoy!

Cards 1 – 4: You’ll notice the first card is different. I was still playing around with colors and ideas…not sure I wanted to add ribbon. I decided to switch to a red border.

I want to give a shout out for a product…the Stamparatus on page 164 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I struggled to get the sentiment frame centered around the round message. In the end, I cut eleven 2″ x 2″ squares of Whisper White Cardstock, lined it up in the corner of the Stamparatus and stamped both the frame and the sentiment. It took 5 minutes to do the 11 I needed for this project. It’s a wonderful tool:

  • It re-stamps images that aren’t inked enough or pressed enough.
  • It aligns and positions perfectly.
  • It makes mass production a breeze.
  • It helps arthritic hands stamp with ease (you can even use a rubber brayer to apply the pressure to the lid)

I have linked the Stamparatus below.

The Paper

  • Whisper White Cardstock: Two 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheets cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. A 6″ x 8″ for sentiment die cuts.
  • Mossy Meadow: One 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheets cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″.
  • Real Red Cardstock: Two 8 1/2″x 11″ sheet cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. One 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. A 6″ x 8″ for circle die cuts.
  • Heart Hugs Designer Series Paper: Two sheets cut per template.

The Creating

I have a few tips and variations to the instructions you will find at the link above (“template” under Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper).

  • Before making the cards: I stamped all 11 sentiments with the Stamparatus and die cut them, adding dimensionals to the back.
  • I die cut 11 of the stitched circle from the Warm Wrapped Dies.
  • I used 10 1/2″ of ribbon for cards 1-4. I applied by placing a strip of Stampin’ Seal vertically on the stitched circle and putting the ribbon in place.

  • I used 6″ of ribbon cut at 2 1/2″ for the banner ends of cards 5-8. I applied with Stampin’ Seal placed horizontally on the stitched circle.
  • I eliminated the ribbon on card 9-10 because there were already 3 patterns and I didn’t want to add another (the stripe in the ribbon).
  • I changed the orientation of card 11 and eliminated the ribbon for the same reason above.

Thank you for stopping by. Please email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com with any questions or if I can be of assistance with your stamping creativity.
