Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Notecard

I used the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Cling Stamp Set and coordinating In the Tropics Dies to make this beach themed notecard.

My card design was inspired by Color Throwdown Countdown #652.

The Paper Cuts

  • Pacific Point Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (base) & 4 1/2″ x 1 3/4″
  • Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 4 1/2″ x 1 1/4″
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4 1/2″ x 1 3/4″
  • Pattern Party 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper – Granny Apple Green Pattern: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ (stamping/die cutting) & 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)
  • Mango Melody Cardstock: sun die cut from Sheep Dies in the 3 Aug-30 Sept Sale-a-bration Brochure (free with $50 order)

The Creating

I began by die cutting the top edge of the Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake Cardstock strips with the snow die from Cabin Dies from the upcoming 3 Aug to 3 Jan 2021 Mini Catalog. It’s the die that has the fox on the edge…be sure he is facing off the cardstock…he’s cute, but he’d be funny on the beach ;). I stamped the sentiment on the Crumb Cake layer in Tuxedo Black Ink and then glued the pieces together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the edge. When the glue was dry I ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die.

I stamped the palm trees image in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front and the Basic White inside panel and scrap. I colored the fronds with Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and the trunks with Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend. I die cut the one on the scrap along with the cloud stamp from Sheep Dies.

All that is left is the assembly…the DSP, layered rectangle, sun, cloud and inside panel are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The die cut palm trees are popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (the trunks with halves). I added a double bow from Linen Thread with a Mini Glue Dot.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

    Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Notecard

I used the Artistically Inked Bundle along with the coordinating Expressions in Ink 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper for this Notecard. This is a super fun set of products and while I didn’t use them all on this particular card, the Suite is well worth the splurge! Enjoy.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 11 x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: two 5 1/2″ x 4″ panels (I cut a 5 1/2″ strip from the short edge of the piece with the pink and orange ink dabbles and then cut the two 4″ panels).
    • 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum: 5 1/4″ x 2″ (leaf die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 3″ (for stamping/die cutting)

    The Creating

I stamped the floral image with Pale Papaya Ink twice on the Basic White Cardstock and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating die from Artistic Dies. I also die cut the leaves using the 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum. So pretty! I snipped the two lower leaves off and separated them with my Paper Snips so that I could tuck them in where wanted.

With Polished Pink Ink, I stamped the hello sentiment in the lower left corner of the panel (the one with the most ink dabbles) and the “dots” to the inside of the flowers. I applied the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the leaf die cut with liquid glue as well, however, the next time I die cut it I will apply a piece of Adhesive Sheet first because the shimmer vellum wanted to twist/lift slightly…pressure from a Clear Block on top got the job done! I adhered the flower on the top left corner and popped the second one up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. With Mini Glue Dots, I tucked the two separated leaves underneath. With the Take Your Pick putty end, I applied Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little sparkle to compliment the shimmer paper.

On the inside panel I stamped the floral image in Polished Pink Ink and a leaf image in Soft Succulent Ink. I also added a couple of pink dots and just a hint of a Pale Papaya floral image to balance out the design width and colors before adding the panel with liquid adhesive. I duplicated the floral image and leaves on the Basic White Medium Envelope for a matching set.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Hello Notecard

This card is made with the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle (see details below). The upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog (which I can’t wait for you to see!) has some beautiful examples of cards created using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. It has inspired me to pull mine out. They really do enhance the Distinctive Stamps and shaded artwork! Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Night of Navy Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
    • Daffodil Delight Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel)
    • Vellum Cardstock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (front)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel (inside), 2″ x 1 1/2″ and 3″ x 2″ (die cutting)

    The Creating

First, I must confess, I have dissected my Butterfly Brilliance stamp. It comes as one large cling mount stamp that stamps all six butterflies in one fell swoop (pun intended, lol). This allows the die from Brilliance Wings Dies to cut all of them at one. I took scissors and snipped the rubber between the butterflies (but I did not trim the excess away). I can still put them together (like a puzzle) on a block and stamp all of them, but now I can easily ink and stamp them individually instead of having to carefully position around the others.

    • I stamped the butterfly in Tuxedo Black Ink on the 3″ x 2″ Basic White Cardstock. I added the color with the Watercolor Pencils. I lightly went over the colored in area with a Blender Pen to smooth and brighten the color. I passed the colored image through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine under the coordinating butterfly die. I cut the shortest die from Stitched Rectangles Dies from the 2″ x 1 1/2″ Basic White Cardstock.
    • With Night of Navy Ink I stamped the butterfly randomly over the Daffodil Delight Cardstock panel. I stamped it on the corner of the Basic White Medium Envelope. I also stamped it in 2nd generation on the inside panel so that writing could be seen over it if the space was needed. I added the “Hello” sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set to the Stitched Rectangle die cut and the sentiment inside from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set.
    • To adhere the card together I added Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the Daffodil Delight panel and applied it to the card base. I did the same with the inside layer. I placed the Vellum panel in place (without adhering) and applied the stitched square and the butterfly with Mini Glue Dots. I added the three Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I flipped the vellum over and applied liquid glue behind the added elements to adhere it to the card base so the adhesive would not show from the front.

Stampin’ Up! Positive Thoughts Spring Notecard

We had a beautiful sunny day today and I am just itching for Spring. I used the Positive Thoughts Cling Stamp Set and coordinating Nature’s Thoughts Dies from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog for this card. I hope you enjoy the card.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Garden Green Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: Stitched Rectangle Die (approx 3 1/4″ x 1 1/4″, sentiment), 2″ x 4″ (butterfly dies), and two 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front and inside)

    The Creating

    • With Tuxedo Black Ink, I stamped three butterflies from the Positive Thoughts Cling Stamp Set on Basic White Cardstock. I colored them with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and then die cut them with the Nature’s Thoughts Dies and Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I added Wink of Stella to the wings for a little glam.
    • With Garden Green Ink, I stamped the sentiment on the Stitched Rectangles die cut and randomly stamped the fern image on the Basic White panels and Basic White Envelope.
    • To assemble I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to apply the Basic White panels to the card base. I popped the butterflies and the Stitched Rectangle die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • I embellished with three Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose Note Card

I used the To A Wild Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog for this card. The design was adapted from a card designed by Australian Demonstrator, Kylie Bertucci. I decided to use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut the top Very Vanilla layer and the center of the card card front in order to align the stamped rose images (like a spotlight technique). Plus, it saved a Poppy Parade die cut layer for another card. I hope you enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and 3 3/8″ x 4 6/8″ for layering.
    • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3rd largest die (3″ x 4 5/16″) from Stitched Rectangle Dies and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)

    The Creating

    • I began by placing the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die in the center of the front of the Poppy Parade card base (with the card open) and passed it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Also cut this die from Very Vanilla Cardstock. I placed the Poppy Parade card base on my workspace and popped in the Very Vanilla die cut where I removed the Poppy Parade one. With Poppy Parade Ink I stamped the two roses at the top and the leaf image. I removed the Very Vanilla die cut to stamp the greeting and fill in the edges of the card front.
    • I also stamped the rose and leaves on the Very Vanilla inside panel and on the front of the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope.
    • To assemble, I added Multipurpose Liquid Glue around the opening on the card front and added the Poppy Parade panel. I added Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back of the inside panel and added it inside the card.
    • I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped Very Vanilla panel to pop it up on the card front.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  Just click on the links above or the shop image on on the right side of the screen to go directly to my online store or drop me an email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

    Stampin’ Up! Forever Greenery Notecard

I used the Forever Greenery Suite Collection from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog to make this glitzy note card. The Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper and gorgeously detailed Forever Flourishing Dies make it easy to create dazzling cards. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Just Jade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base and 3″ x 4″ for die cutting.
    • Whisper White Cardstock: two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels and a 2 3/4″ x 1/2″ strip.

    The Creating

    • Place a gold panel from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper face down on the Silicone Craft Mat. Squeeze a nickel size dollop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the corner of the mat, dip in 1/8th of a Stampin’ Sponge and apply to the edges and center of the back of the panel. Center on the front of one of the Whisper White panels.
    • Cut 3″ x 4″ piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet. Peel the release paper from one side and adhere to the 3″ x 4″ piece of Just Jade Cardstock. Run this through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Forever Flourishing Die shown. Tips: Because this die is pretty intricate I find it helpful to flip the die and foam (it will be stuck together) upside down and run it through the machine again (be sure to switch your plates around as well). This helps get through the release paper on the bottom cleanly. Then, working with the die up, use your Take Your Pick Tool to push through any stray pieces of cardstock/foam being careful not to peel off the release paper yet. Then remove the die cut/foam from the die. Peel the release paper and apply to the gold panel.
    • Wrap a 6″ piece of Just Jade gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the bottom of the panel and secure on the back with Mini Glue Dots. Top with a piece of Gold Metallic Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. Tie a small piece of the doubled ribbon in a knot onto the ribbon strip above the fern stem and fray the gold trim ends if desired. Adhere the decorated panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
    • Stamp the sentiment in Just Jade Ink on the Whisper White strip and notch the left end with the Triple Banner Punch. Pop onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Apply three (3) Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
    • Stamp the leaf image on the remaining Whisper White panel in second generation ink and adhere to the inside of the card. Stamp it first generation on the envelope front.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  Just click on the links above or the shop image on on the right side of the screen to go directly to my online store or drop me an email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

    • Vellum Cardstock: a large fern leaf die cut from the Forever Flourishing Dies.

    The Creating

    • Stamp the leaf fronds on the Whisper White front panel with Pretty Peacock and Garden Green Inks with the stamps in the center of the card.
    • Stamp the leaf frond on the Whisper White inside panel and on the envelope in Garden Green.
    • Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White smooth circle die cut in Pretty Peacock. (There is a Hello in the Forever Fern stamp set that can be used, but I like the way this one filled the circle instead of being in a straight line. It’s nice to have options 😉
    • Adhere the Garden Green panel to the card front and the stamped front panel to it. Adhere the Whisper White inside panel.
    • Snip the stamps away from the stem on the Vellum fern die cut. Separate any touching leaves and trim where needed. Dry fit these on the card front so that the stems are in the center. Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
    • Adhere the Garden Green circle in the center over the stems.
    • Adhere the white circle to the Pretty Peacock circle and pop onto the green one with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Soft Spring Forever Lovely Card

Many are experiencing frustrations and various difficulties being separated during this Pandemic. Our Sunday school class decided to help each other encourage elderly parents and neighbors who are experiencing anxiety from living alone and being isolated. This card is going to a fellow member’s grandmother to let them know that they are being remembered and prayed for. I’m sure it will not only encourage the grandmother, but also my fellow SS member. I hope you’ll consider sharing a card with someone, too!

    The Cuts

    • Whisper White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″
    • Old Olive Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″

    The Creating

    • Cut a Rectangle Stitched Die (3 15/16″ x 2 5/8″) from the Old Olive Cardstock layer (save for another project). Stamp the dragonfly in black ink. Position this piece on the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.
    • Put the Whisper White open cardstock on the Stamparatus with the Foam Mat in place and secure with the magnet. Lay the embossed panel on top as if it were adhered and place the floral stamp face down in the rectangle. Pick it up with the Stamparatus plate. Remove the embossed panel, ink the stamp with black ink and close the lid. If your impression is not good you can re-ink and stamp again.
    • Repeat with the flower stamp in Gorgeous Grape and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz.
    • Flip the card over repeat the Stamparatus process with the greeting, dragonfly and floral image all at once. Then add the purple flowers and green leaves.
    • Add the floral images to the envelope.
    • Adhere the embossed panel with Foam Adhesive Strips.
    • Add Wink of Stella to the dragonfly wings.

Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Catalog Case

This card uses the Timeless Tropical Bundle and is cased from the Jan-Jun 2020 Mini Catalog. It’s a good exercise because it causes me to do different techniques and use different elements than I would normally choose. I suggest you give it a try. Enjoy!
