Stampin’ Up! Gift of Hope Floral Easter Card

I used the Gift of Hope Cling Stamp Set with the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper to make this sweet, Spring, floral card. You will find instructions and all the links for the supplies I used below.

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and #2 circle die cut from Stitched Shapes Dies
  • Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper : 5″ x 3 3/4″ (card panel), 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ (inside) and 5 3/4″ x 3/8″ (env)
  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ and #4 scallop edged circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies.

The Creating

  • First, I stamped the sentiments from the Gift of Hope Cling Stamp Set in Old Olive Ink on the Stitched Circles die cut and on the inside of the card base.
  • I adhered the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP panel to the Flirty Flamingo panel and tied the Faux Linen Whisper White Ribbon from Flower for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around it with the bow on the left side.
  • I adhered the stamped stitched circle die cut to the scallop die cut with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I added 3 Glitter Gold Gems to embellish.
  • The small DSP strip was adhered to the bottom edge of the inside of the card base and the remaining DSP was glued to the Basic White Medium Envelope.

Stampin’ Up! A Touch of Ink Thinking of You Card

I used A Touch of Ink Photopolymer Stamp Set from the Jan 5 – Feb 28, 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It is FREE with a $100 retail purchase and has two sheets of stamps. It includes both the outline and the fill stamps, as well as sentiments and a background stamp. It’s so awesome!

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! is the coordination of products. I find it easy to pull my project colors from a Designer Series Paper. For this card I used the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog. So simple!

The Paper Cuts

  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
  • Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper: 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front) and 3/8″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front), 4 x 5 1/4″ (inside) and 2 1/4″ x 1 3/4″ (label)

The Creating

  • Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the hummingbird outline in Tuxedo Black Ink. I positioned the hummingbird fill stamp over the outline and picked it up with the Stamparatus plate. I inked the breast of the stamp with Bumblebee Ink and then the rest with Mint Macaron Ink and stamped. I then stamped the leaves (outline & fill) in Olive Green Ink. I finished with the background dots on a block in Bumblebee Ink, some first- and some second-generation.
  • I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron Ink on Basic White Cardstock and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the 2nd smallest label in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (one of my fav die sets).
  • I adhered the layers to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue except the label which is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I added a knotted 1/4″ Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the card front to cover the seam. I wanted to ensure it did not slip around during mailing since the hummingbird is close to the edge, so I added a few Mini Glue Dots underneath using my Take Your Pick Tool to lift them from the roll and to place them under the ribbon.
  • I stamped the leaf outline on the Basic White Medium Envelope in Old Olive Ink.

There are links down below for the products used.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Fall Birthday Card

The star of this card is the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This 12×12 paper pack includes patterns for every season, but I chose this one for my friend’s birthday because while it has Fall colors, it is a happy pattern with a light green background. Perfect!

The Paper Cuts

  • Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper: 2 3/4″ x 5″ panel for the front, 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ for the envelope and 4″ x 1/4″ for the inside.
  • Crushed Curry Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the base.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 3″ x 5 1/4″ for the front, 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside and a 1 5/8″ circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies.
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: die cut from Painted Labels Dies.

The Creating

  • Place the front of the card base in the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
  • With Soft Suede Ink, stamp “Happy Birthday” from Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set on the Whisper White circle die cut. Also stamp the “Wishing you…” on the Whisper White inside panel (same ink and stamp set).
  • Adhere the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP panel to the Whisper White front panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Back with Stampin’ Dimensionals and place on the left side of the card front.
  • Adhere the Layering Circles die cut to the Painted Labels die cut. Apply a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the right side of the Painted Labels die cut and liquid glue to the other side. Place on the card front. Add 3 gold Metallic Pearls.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks Hinge Technique Card

This card features the Ornate Thanks cling stamp set and the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used the Stamparatus Hinge Technique for the background. You can find details on that in this post. So much fun!

The Paper Cuts

  • Terracotta Tile Cardstock: a card base cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″

Lift the plate out and move the hinge down 3 slots and ink and stamp again. Clean the stamp.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt and Ornate Thanks

The inspiration for this card is from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, page 75. I love the colors and that it uses a Heart Set in a way that is not Valentine’s. If you like the Heartfelt Set you may want to take advantage of the 10% bundle savings before June 3rd. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″ and a scrap for the sentiment.
  • Terracotta Tile Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and 2 heart punches.
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 3 heart punches.
  • Ornate Garden Specialty DSP: 1 heart punch and a 4″ x 3″ panel.

The Creating

  • Use the Subtle Embossing Folder to add texture to the Terracotta Tile panel. Tip: Spritz with water for a more defined impression. Adhere to card front.
  • Punch a Scallop Heart from Old Olive Cardstock.
  • Use Old Olive Ink to stamp the dotted heart twice. Stamp in Terracotta Tile Ink twice.
  • Use the Straight-edged Heart to punch the stamped images and one from the DSP. Tip: if you need to cut away cardstock to line your punch up, use a post it note as an extension to hold your heart in the punch.
  • Cut one of the Terracotta hearts in half. Adhere the Hearts to the DSP strip and the strip to the embossed panel.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Terracotta Tile Ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips. Pop up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the Thanks from Ornate Thanks in Old Olive Ink. Add “for everything” in Terracotta Tile Ink.
  • Adhere a Terracotta Tile heart in the corner and trim the edge with snips.
