Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season Christmas Card

This card is made with the Christmas Season Bundle (Christmas Season Photopolymer Stamp Set + Seasonal Labels Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. I volunteered to create and present a card using this bundle at our upcoming Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Meeting on Sunday. Our team stamps together quarterly via Zoom/FB and it’s lots of fun. It’s my first time presenting, so if you happen to think about me Sunday, say a little prayer all goes smoothly :). If our stampin’ meeting sounds fun and you would like to talk about joining us and getting a discount on your Stampin’ Up! products, drop me an email and I’ll tell you how! Enjoy the card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Crumb Cake Cardstock:  4 1/4″ x 11”, scored at 5 1/2” (card base) and 3″ x 7″ (stamping/die cutting)
  • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock:  4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (front panel)
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (embossing)
  • Painted Christmas 12×12 DSP: 2 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front panel), 1/2″ x 4 1/8″ (inside strip)

The Creating

I stamped the sentiments with Real Red Ink using the Stamparatus (optional) on the inside of the card and on the Crumb Cake panel. [Tips:  Due to the fine lines of the sentiments, I find the Stamparatus helpful when stamping them on darker colored cardstocks so that they can be stamped twice if needed.  I placed the label die on the cardstock to assist with approximate placement.  It can be fine tuned when die cutting.]

I stamped the leafy image in Soft Succulent Ink on the inside of the card, on the Crumb Cake panel and on the edge of the envelope. I stamped the pine sprigs twice each in Evening Evergreen Ink on the Crumb Cake panel and the envelope. I stamped the pinecone detail image in Early Expresso Ink on the Crumb Cake panel and on the envelope (mask the leafy stamped image if necessary).  I stamped the pinecone overlay in 2nd generation Soft Suede Ink on the envelope and on the Crumb Cake panel.  On the inside of the card base, I stamped 3 berries in Real Red (just ink 3 or you can mask one on the stamp before inking). I repeated on the envelope and the Crumb Cake panel (all 4 berries).

I die cut the images on the cardstock with the coordinating dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.  I used Paper Snips to trim one of the berries from the other three. I also passed the Evening Evergreen panel through the Stampin’ Emboss Machine inside the pine design Wintery 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the embossed panel and the DSP panel to the Cherry Cobbler panel leaving the same margin around the outer edges. Then I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2” Ribbon around the panel, over the seam, and secured it to the back with Mini Glue Dots.  I adhered the panel to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I dry fit the die cuts on the card front.  First, I adhered the pinecone to the card with liquid glue and then made two “bundles” with the remaining elements attaching them together with Mini Glue Dots:  1) the leafy image, a gold holly leaf and a berry, 2) the two pine sprigs, 3 berries and 2 gold holly leaves.  I adhered these to the back of the sentiment label and applied the decorated label to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back to pop it up. I adhered the DSP strip inside the card with liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Painted Christmas Suite Christmas Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Painted Christmas Suite of products from the newly released July – December 2021 Mini Catalog for this card. It includes the Christmas Season Bundle (Christmas Season Photopolymer Stamp Set + Seasonal Labels Dies) and Christmas to Remember Bundle (Christmas to Remember Cling Stamp Set + Christmas Pinecone Dies), Gold Holly Leaves, Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2″ Metallic Ribbon and the Painted Christmas 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper. That’s A LOT of beautiful! I hope you enjoy the card.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Cherry Cobbler Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (base)
    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 2″ (die cut label – 2nd largest nested)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 2 1/2″ x 4″ (stamping/die cutting) and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside panel)
    • Painted Christmas 12″x12″ DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ (inside strip) and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (envelope flap)

    The Creating

I began by stamping the sentiment on the Evening Evergreen die cut label with VersaMark Ink, sprinkling on White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melting it with the Heat Tool. On Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the two holly leaves image in Evening Evergreen Ink, Garden Green Ink, and Pear Pizzazz Ink. I also stamped a holly berry image in Cherry Cobbler Ink. I die cut the stamped images with the coordinating dies with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

On the Basic White inside panel and the envelope front, I stamped the holly leaves and sentiment in Evening Evergreen Ink and the berries in Cherry Cobbler Ink.

To assemble, I placed a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the tips of the holly leaves and added them to the top of the label die cut. I added the berries with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals…they fit perfectly! I cut three 2″ pieces of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2″ Metallic Ribbon and attached them to the back of the label with a strip of Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (placed on the label).

I used liquid glue to adhere the DSP panel to the card front and the inside layer and DSP strip to the inside. popped the label on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked three of the Gold Holly Leaves in with Mini Glue Dots. I attached the remaining DSP panel with liquid glue to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess with Paper Snips.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas to Remember Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Christmas to Remember Bundle from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog which opens for customer orders tomorrow. Sale-a-bration (Round 2) free product bonuses also begin, so I also used the Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty Paper that is free with a $50 order. If you need a paper catalog or Sale-a-bration brochure and don’t already have a dedicated Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I’d love to send you one. Just drop me an email with your name and address. Without further ado…on with the card!

The inspiration for the colors for this card come from the coordinating Painted Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I used pieces to accent the envelope and inside of the card. Here’s a look at the gorgeous dies in the Christmas Pinecone Dies and the sentiments in the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (base) and 2″ x 9/16″ (sentiment)
    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ and the more solid large die (w/solid pinecones)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 4 6/8″ (front panel)and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)
    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: more open large die (w/pinecone detail)
    • Early Expresso Cardstock: (2″ x 5″) 3 large solid pinecone die cuts and 5 small solid pinecone die cuts.
    • Painted Christmas 12″x12″ DSP: 4″ x 1/2″ (inside strip) and 2 1/4″ x 5 3/4″(envelope flap)
    • Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty Paper: (2″ x 5″) 3 large pinecone detail die cuts and 5 small pinecone detail die cuts.

    The Creating

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiments with Real Red Ink. I restamped them a couple of times to get the ink coverage and color depth I desired.

I adhered all the layers on my card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (except the front sentiment which is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals) because I like the application control and the placement wiggle room it affords. A good alternative if you are not a fan of liquid glue is to back the cardstocks with Adhesive Sheets before die cutting which will make them like stickers with a peel off backing.

The Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty Paper is so pretty, but be aware that it is quite thick and will need a couple of passes through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I passed it through to the back and then back to the front, then being careful not to let anything slip, flipped the part of the sandwich with the clear plates on either side 180 degrees and passed it through again…upside down if you will. That sequined sparkle is worth the extra effort.

Wouldn’t this also be cute with a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels sprinkled around?

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Season Bundle Birthday Card – Sneak Peek

I used three products from the Painted Christmas Suite Collection to make this masculine, wintery birthday card. The suite is featured in the upcoming August-December 2021 Mini Catalog. The bundle includes the Christmas Season Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Seasonal Labels Dies. The Painted Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper coordinates with Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent…and as you can see here, Balmy Blue (not listed, but it’s perfect!). I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything. Enjoy…

    The Paper Cuts

    • Painted Christmas 12×12 Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 5 1/4″ x 3/8″ (inside strip) and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (envelope).
    • Balmy Blue Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 4″ x 3 1/4″ (largest die in Seasonal Labels Dies).
    • Basic White Cardstock: 51/4″ x 4″ (inside panel), and 7″ x 5″ (stamping/die cutting).

    The Creating

I used Pear Pizzazz Ink and Evening Evergreen Ink to stamp the greenery images (3 medium leafy, 3 pine, 2 long leafed, and 2 small leafy) on Basic White Cardstock. I die cut them with the coordinating dies with the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I also stamped the birthday sentiment from Timeless Tropical Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen and die cut with the smaller label die.

I continued the stamped greenery theme to the envelope front and stamped the sentiment on the inside panel. I added the Painted Christmas 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap (trimming with my Paper Snips) and the bottom edge of the inside panel. I adhered all the layering with Multipurpose Liquid Glue except the sentiment label which is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card front is embellished with three Soft Succulent 2021-23 In Color Jewels placed with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.
