Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Friendship Card

I received the Encircled in Friendship bundle from my sweet upline, Amy, yesterday and I couldn’t wait to use it! The Encircled in Friendship Cling Stamp Set has beautiful sentiments, floral images, and a little bit of coloring. The Encircled in Beauty Dies are incredible! I had to cut one of each right away. In addition to cards, they will be great frames for scrapbooking. Thank you, Amy! BTW, the True Love 12×12 DSP will be going away at the end of the month. Grab it while you can and enjoy the card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (cardbase).
  • Basic White Cardstock: largest lace edge die from Encircled in Beauty Dies, 5 5/16″ x 3 15/16″ (front panel) and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside panel).
  • True Love Designer Series Paper: largest Stitched Rectangle Die (front panel); left over strip from the edge (inside).
These are the incredible dies! I have more playing to do! I need to cut some in colors…maybe that pretty Shimmer Vellum?

The Creating

I began by stamping the small floral image around the die cut with Tuxedo Black Ink (no measuring involved, just winged it…not perfect, but it’s all good!). I added the sentiments in the middle and on the inside panel. I colored the flowers with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I repeated on the inside panel and the bottom edge of the envelope.

To assemble the card, I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the front and inside panels and the die cut left over edge on the inside. I popped up the decorated Encircled Beauty die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To embellish, I added Matte Black Dots between the floral images with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Shimmer Vellum Birthday Card with Art Gallery Bundle

Sunday, Amy’s Inkin’ Krew had our Quarterly Meeting and a few of our talented Demonstrators presented cards for us to make. This card is inspired by the card Karen Ksenzakovic presented. It features the gorgeous 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum embossed with the lovely Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. The flattened photographs don’t do the Shimmer Vellum the justice it deserves, but the 2nd photo shows it best. It’s oh so pretty! The Art Gallery Bundled savings will end on June 30th. If you don’t have it, it’s a great one to get because it includes two different flower images, two-step stamping and lots of sentiments that we use all the time. I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pale Papaya Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″
    • Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum: 3 3/4″ x 5″
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ for stamping/die cutting and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)

    The Creating

I began by stamping the larger floral image from the Art Gallery Stamp Set in 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pale Papaya Ink on the right side of the 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic White panel (see die cutting layout below for general placement). I then added the 2nd step floral image in Pale Papaya Ink (without stamping off). I stamp the stem and leaf image with Soft Succulent Ink in the lower right corner. These colors are so pretty together!

Next, I die cut the stamped images with the coordinating dies from Floral Gallery Dies and the 2nd largest Stitched So Sweetly Die. I passed the Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine inside the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

I used a Blending Brush dipped in Soft Succulent Ink to add a little color in the center of the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and added the Happy Birthday stamp to the bottom edge.

To assemble the card, I placed Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive on the back of the shimmer vellum where the die cut would cover it and adhered it to the Soft Succulent panel. I adhered both to the card base. I adhered the stem/leaves with liquid glue and popped the floral image up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also popped the scallop die cut up on the the shimmer vellum to (which covered the liquid glue underneath the vellum).

To embellish, I added Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Jewels using the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool. I added a Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel and envelope I duplicated the floral stamping and added the Best Wishes sentiment.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Batik Boutique Simple Stamping Notecards

I used the Batik Boutique Stamp Set and the Create With Friends Stamp Set to make these two notecards. It’s really the same card just embellished in two different ways. The stamping is simple, quick and easy with the Two Step color fill. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Bumblebee Cardstock: Both card bases are 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″.
    • Basic White Cardstock: The top card has two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels (inside and front). The bottom card has a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ front panel and a 5 1/4″ x 4″ inside panel.
    • Misty Moonlight Cardstock: The bottom card has a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ front layer.

    The Creating

The sentiments, large flower outlines, and small flower dotted circle accents are stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink. The floral fill and small flowers are stamped in Bumblebee Ink and the leaf fill and small leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink. The small flower leaves are the same stamp as the leaf color fill for the big flowers.

The large flower and fill is repeated on the inside panel and on the envelope.

To assemble the cards I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the panels to the card bases. I added the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the bottom of the top card with Mini Glue Dots on the backside before adhering.

To embellish the bottom card, I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels colored with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Which one do you like best? I couldn’t decide so I decided to post them both!

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thank You Card with Fading Technique

I used the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (Beauty of Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set and Beautiful Trees Dies) to make this thank you card. I love the soft blended colors and the fading trees that make it feel like we’re in a misty forest. It was inspired by a card created by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, LeeAnn Greff. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Very Vanilla Cardstock: die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels.
    • Pool Party Cardstock: scrap for the bird die cut.

    The Creating

With Evening Evergreen Ink, I stamped the sentiments on the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and on the lower right corner of the inside panel. Then I stamped the trees on the two Very Vanilla Cardstock panels and the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. I used the Fading Technique which is simply to ink once and stamp multiple times until the ink fades away in order to create depth (as here) or motion (ie, like a ball rolling). Be sure when you do this that the full stamp image is evenly on the cardstock, or, if it does overhang the edge of the card that your subsequent images are a little less than the previous one so that the darker ink on the part of the stamp that overhung the edge (and did not stamp off) does not show on the next image thus making it two tone.

I used Blending Brushes to add first Soft Succulent Ink and then Evening Evergreen Ink along the “forest floor” and then Pool Party Ink and Bermuda Bay Ink for the sky line.

To assemble the card I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the two panels to the card base. I popped the sentiment label up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the die cut bird with a Mini Glue Dot.

To embellish, I added Pool Party Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

    Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Notecard

I used the Artistically Inked Bundle along with the coordinating Expressions in Ink 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper for this Notecard. This is a super fun set of products and while I didn’t use them all on this particular card, the Suite is well worth the splurge! Enjoy.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 11 x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: two 5 1/2″ x 4″ panels (I cut a 5 1/2″ strip from the short edge of the piece with the pink and orange ink dabbles and then cut the two 4″ panels).
    • 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum: 5 1/4″ x 2″ (leaf die cut)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 3″ (for stamping/die cutting)

    The Creating

I stamped the floral image with Pale Papaya Ink twice on the Basic White Cardstock and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the coordinating die from Artistic Dies. I also die cut the leaves using the 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum. So pretty! I snipped the two lower leaves off and separated them with my Paper Snips so that I could tuck them in where wanted.

With Polished Pink Ink, I stamped the hello sentiment in the lower left corner of the panel (the one with the most ink dabbles) and the “dots” to the inside of the flowers. I applied the panel to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the leaf die cut with liquid glue as well, however, the next time I die cut it I will apply a piece of Adhesive Sheet first because the shimmer vellum wanted to twist/lift slightly…pressure from a Clear Block on top got the job done! I adhered the flower on the top left corner and popped the second one up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. With Mini Glue Dots, I tucked the two separated leaves underneath. With the Take Your Pick putty end, I applied Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little sparkle to compliment the shimmer paper.

On the inside panel I stamped the floral image in Polished Pink Ink and a leaf image in Soft Succulent Ink. I also added a couple of pink dots and just a hint of a Pale Papaya floral image to balance out the design width and colors before adding the panel with liquid adhesive. I duplicated the floral image and leaves on the Basic White Medium Envelope for a matching set.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Batik Boutique Birthday Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for June! Today we are sharing Birthday projects. You will find links at the bottom of my post to hop you along the way to the other projects. Be sure to visit them all to see how each team member interpreted the theme in what they made for you. I hope you will enjoy what I made!

I used the Batik Boutique Bundle from the 2021 -2022 Annual Catalog (page 114) to make this Happy Birthday card.  The Batik Boutique Photopolymer Stamp Set (11 stamps) and the Batik Dies (9 dies) are discounted 10% when purchased together (#158362).  The stamp set is Two-Step Stamping which means that there are stamps that fill in color inside of the outline stamps which is also why it is photopolymer to allow us to line the images up (and these line up super easy). At the end of the blog you can find links to all the products used in the making.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Bumblebee Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and 3″ x 2 1/4″ (floral outline).
    • 2020-2022 In Color 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper Assortment (Bumblebee): 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front panel), 2″ x 2 1/4″ (scallop floral accent) and 4″ x 1/2″ (inside strip).
    • Night of Navy Cardstock: 2nd largest die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies and 4″ x 2″ (floral detail).
    • Basic White Cardstock:  3nd largest die cut from Stitched Rectangle Dies and 4” x 5 1/4” (inside panel).
    • Misty Moonlight Cardstock:  4″ x 2″ (floral detail)
    • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 2″ x 2″ (leaves)

    The Creating

I began by die cutting and assembling the floral image. I cut the large floral outline die in Bumblebee and the large detailed floral die and the tulip die in both Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight. I also cut the scallop floral accent die from Bumblebee DSP.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and my Silicone Craft Sheet for all the adhering…first the navy outline to the yellow base, then the navy centers to the base just at the inside corner which allowed for some lift at the floral edge, and then the blue small accent pieces. The Take Your Pick Tool Putty Tip is super handy to maneuver the smaller pieces, or you could use the Press & Seal Method if you prefer. Once the glue was dry I used the pointy end of the Take Your Pick Tool to lift and curl the outer edges of the navy pieces for the dimension. Next I adhered the navy tulip outline to the yellow DSP, added the blue pieces and then added it to the larger portion (I did not line up the bottom edges of the two pieces, but placed the top one a little lower to allow more room for the petals to pop out).

With Pear Pizzazz Ink, I stamped the leaf outline image on Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die. I added these to the floral image with Mini Glue Dots. I positioned the tag on the Basic White Stitched Rectangle die cut for spacing perspective and stamped the sentiments from Create With Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set (page 36, 17 stamps) with Night of Navy Ink

With Night of Navy Ink, I stamped he sentiment from Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set (page 97,12 stamps) on the Basic White inside panel, and also added the floral outline stamp on the lower left corner and on the Basic White Medium Envelope. With Misty Moonlight Ink and Bumblebee Ink I stamped the coordinating 2nd Step images inside the floral outline. I added the DSP strip and the inside panel to the card base with liquid glue.

To complete the card front I added the DSP panel to the card base, and the white stitched rectangle to the navy stitched rectangle, with liquid glue. I popped the navy stitched rectangle and the floral tag up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Crushed Curry Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the floral image (on the tulip) and three Night of Navy ones around the sentiment. So pretty!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thank You Card

I used the Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set along with the coordinating Expressions in Ink 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper for this Thank You Card. If you have followed me for long you may have noticed that I often use pink and green. This is a new found discovery of my own! It seems to work well and I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Polished Pink Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (front panel)
    • Basic White Cardstock: Tasteful Label Die Cut and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)

    The Creating

I stamped the roses in Polished Pink Ink and the leaves in Shaded Spruce Ink on the Designer Series Paper, the inside panel, and the envelope.

I stamped the “thanks” greeting in Polished Pink on the Tasteful Label die cut. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.

I adhered the front and inside layers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the gold die cut elements from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack (I think someone at Stampin’ Up! is trying to improve our vocabulary and spelling) with dots of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added the “thanks” label and three Evening Evergreen 2021-23 In Color Jewels (they coordinate beautifully) to complete the card.

I hope that you have had a wonderful Memorial Day. We had a string of guests…first, cousins from GA and second, in-laws from Louisiana. We are blessed. In the midst, I received my May Paper Pumpkin and last night I was finally able to play!

    Paper Pumpkin Instruction Improvements

There are some Paper Pumpkin improvements that I would like you to be aware of. Paper Pumpkin was already wonderful and easy, but they have improved the instructions with this edition and going forward:

    1. There are now full color images to walk you through each card/project step-by-step.
    2. Components for each project are clearly identified, down to the number of adhesive dots and dimensionals needed and where to place them.
    3. Quick access to the kit’s how-to video with a QR code.

May Batter Up Paper Pumpkin Kit – 9 Cards (3 Designs)

The May – Batter Up – Kit was super fun and included a masculine design. My husband was excited since he raid’s my card box for cards to give his acquaintances! It made three cards of three designs. I chose not to use the family title stamps and to leave them as generic Thank You and Birthday Cards. The insides are stamped with sentiments from the retiring Happy Thoughts Cling Stamp Set in the 2021 January to June Mini Catalog (linked below). Enjoy!
