Stampin’ Up! Dressed To Impress Birthday Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for April! Today we are sharing projects with the theme “for the girls/ladies”. Be sure to hop along with the links at the bottom of my post to see how each talented team member interpreted that theme in their project!

I used the Dressed to Impress Photopolymer Stamp Set from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog to make this card. What stamp set is girlier….lipstick, heels, perfume?! Plus, I added a few other girly things like: pinks, ribbon with a bow, glitter and rhinestones! I hope you enjoy the card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Petal Pink Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
  • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8″ X 3 7/8″ (front), 5 3/4″ x 2 5/16″ (envelope) and 5 1/4″ x 1/2″ (inside)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 5 5/16″ x 4 1/16″ (front), four of the 3rd largest square die from Stitched Shapes Dies, and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)

The Creating

  • I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting from the Happy Thoughts Cling Stamp Set on the inside panel with Tuxedo Black Ink. Then, the lipstick, shoe, perfume and sentiment from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set on the Stitched Squares. I used Petal Pink, Smoky Gray and Seaside Spray Light and Dark Blends Combos to color the images. I added Wink of Stella to the lipstick sleeve, the perfume bottle edges & trim, and the outside of the shoe.
  • I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP panel to the front white panel and then both to the card base. Then I added the inside panel and the DSP strip.
  • The decorated Stitched Shapes squares are added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I added a piece of the White Faux Linen Trim from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack around the card front and tied it in a bow. The front is blinged with three Rhinestone Basic Jewels in a triangular pattern.
  • The remaining strip of DSP was adhered to the envelope flap with liquid glue and the excess trimmed with my Paper Snips. Super fun!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Brilliance Hello Notecard

This card is made with the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle (see details below). The upcoming 2021-22 Annual Catalog (which I can’t wait for you to see!) has some beautiful examples of cards created using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. It has inspired me to pull mine out. They really do enhance the Distinctive Stamps and shaded artwork! Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Night of Navy Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base).
  • Daffodil Delight Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel)
  • Vellum Cardstock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (front)
  • Basic White Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel (inside), 2″ x 1 1/2″ and 3″ x 2″ (die cutting)

The Creating

First, I must confess, I have dissected my Butterfly Brilliance stamp. It comes as one large cling mount stamp that stamps all six butterflies in one fell swoop (pun intended, lol). This allows the die from Brilliance Wings Dies to cut all of them at one. I took scissors and snipped the rubber between the butterflies (but I did not trim the excess away). I can still put them together (like a puzzle) on a block and stamp all of them, but now I can easily ink and stamp them individually instead of having to carefully position around the others.

  • I stamped the butterfly in Tuxedo Black Ink on the 3″ x 2″ Basic White Cardstock. I added the color with the Watercolor Pencils. I lightly went over the colored in area with a Blender Pen to smooth and brighten the color. I passed the colored image through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine under the coordinating butterfly die. I cut the shortest die from Stitched Rectangles Dies from the 2″ x 1 1/2″ Basic White Cardstock.
  • With Night of Navy Ink I stamped the butterfly randomly over the Daffodil Delight Cardstock panel. I stamped it on the corner of the Basic White Medium Envelope. I also stamped it in 2nd generation on the inside panel so that writing could be seen over it if the space was needed. I added the “Hello” sentiment from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set to the Stitched Rectangle die cut and the sentiment inside from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set.
  • To adhere the card together I added Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the Daffodil Delight panel and applied it to the card base. I did the same with the inside layer. I placed the Vellum panel in place (without adhering) and applied the stitched square and the butterfly with Mini Glue Dots. I added the three Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I flipped the vellum over and applied liquid glue behind the added elements to adhere it to the card base so the adhesive would not show from the front.

Let me know if you have any questions!  You can drop me an email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

Stampin’ Up! Stitched Shapes Bunny Treat Holders

This project is a design from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Angie Pyjas at http://www.stampingwithamore.com. It’s so cute, I had to give it a try! My supplies are a little different from hers, but the result is just as cute! I made one for each of our Easter guests to put by their plate. Enjoy!

From Thick Basic White Cardstock, I cut two of the largest stitched ovals (body) and two of the smallest stitched ovals (ears) from the Stitched Shapes Dies using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I used a 1/4″ wide scrap of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock to cut the largest heart from the paw prints die in the Pets Dies (nose). I used a 1/4″ wide scrap of Basic Black Cardstock to cut the largest digits from the paw prints die in the Pets Dies (eyes).

I placed the large oval die cuts on the Simply Scored with the long edge across the top and scored at 1″. These two scored ovals are overlapped to the score lines and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used Flirty Flamingo Ink to stamp a leaf from the Berry Blessings Photopolymer Stamp Set on one end of each of the small oval die cuts. These are glued to one end of the front large oval (the one on the outside of the other one). I adhered the eyes and nose to the front…the Take Your Pick putty end is very helpful here. The mouth and whiskers are drawn on with a Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
The Hersey Kisses are held in place with Mini Glue Dots. I used 3/8″ Thin Clear Velcro Fasteners that I ordered on Amazon as the closure. They are easy to use…just fasten the velcro dot to the loop dot then peel the release paper on one side and adhere it over the glued edge of the bunny ears. Peel off the release paper from the other side and close the bunny top, lining up the ovals. Viola! A stinkin’ cute bunny with a chocolate treat.

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery Spring Card for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop for March! Today we are sharing “Celebrate Spring” projects. You will find links at the bottom of my post to hop you along the way to the projects. Be sure to check out all of our talented team members projects to see how they interpreted the theme and what they have made for you!

I used the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set from the 2021 January to June Mini Catalog (with a few other select stamps and dies) to make a Thinking of You Card with bright Spring colors and flowers that would brighten anyone’s day! There are links to the products used at the end of the blog. I hope you enjoy the card!

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), largest Stitched Rectangle Dies die cut, and the middle Stitched Shapes Dies circle die cut.
  • Garden Green Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″

The Creating

  • I began by tracing the outline of the Stitched Shapes Dies medium circle onto the center of the Stitched Rectangles Dies die cut lightly with a pencil. This provided me with a stamping guide to know what would and what wouldn’t show from beneath the actual mounted die cut.
  • I then used Magenta Madness Ink to ink the top three flowers on the largest floral stamp in the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it once at the top and once at the bottom of the circle.
  • Using Gorgeous Grape Ink, I stamped the double floral image from the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set once on the left and once on the right of the circle.
  • With Bumblebee Ink, I added four of the small floral image from the Art Gallery Photopolymer Stamp Set in between the purple and pink images.
  • I then stamped the tiny flower from Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set (2020-22 Annual Catalog) with Seaside Spray Ink.
  • Finally I added the double leaf image from Beautiful Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set (2020-22 Annual Catalog) in Garden Green Ink.
  • With Garden Green Ink, I stamped the “Thinking of You” sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set centered inside the Stitched Shapes Dies circle die cut. I also stamped the greeting from the Happy Thoughts Cling Stamp Set on the inside of the card base.
  • I repeated the flowers on the inside of the card and on the envelope flap. Don’t you love a matching set?
  • To assemble the card front I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the stamped Stitched Rectangle to the Garden Green panel and then both to the card base. I erased the pencil marks and then popped the Stitched Shapes die cut on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • To embellish, I added three Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness Thanksgiving Card

Today I was looking for a Thanksgiving Card that I could easily create in multiples. I started out stamping the floral spray in black and coloring it with stamping blends, but then tried stamping it in monochromatic Soft Suede and loved it! A little Wink of Stella and I was sold. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Soft Suede Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ (scored at 5 1/2″) for the card base, a 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ strip and the Painted Labels die cut.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: two 5 1/4″ x 4″ panels, a Stitched Shapes circle die (1 7/8″), and a scrap for the stamping (2″ x 2 1/2″).
  • Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4″ x 2″ and 1/4″ x 5 1/4″

The Creating

  • With Soft Suede Ink, stamp the floral spray from the Autumn Goodness Photopolymer Stamp Set on the envelope flap and the Whisper White scrap.
  • Use the coordinating die from Autumn Wheelboro Dies to cut out the floral spray. Apply Wink of Stella to the flowers.
  • Place one of the Whisper White panels in the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder and pass through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
  • Stamp the sentiments on the stitched circle die cut and the inside panel with Soft Suede Ink.
  • Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the floral die cut and Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining pieces.
  • Apply a double Linen Thread bow with Mini Adhesive Dots and apply 3 Metallic Pearl Embellishments.
