Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Birthday Card

I used the Sweet Strawberry Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! January to June 2021 Mini Catalog for this sweet Happy Birthday card. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base), a 2″ x 3 3/16″ label die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and a scrap for the blossom punch.
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel and 1 1/2″ x 3″ for strawberries
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel and 1 1/4″ x 6″ for leaves and stems

The Creating

  • With Pear Pizzazz Ink, I stamped the stem, leaf and blossom image randomly on the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock panel. I colored the blossoms with the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker. So fun! I then added Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to the blossom center.
  • With the Pear Pizzazz Ink, I stamped the strawberry stem image two times and the strawberry leaf image three times on the Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.
  • With Poppy Parade Ink, I stamped two of the strawberry images on Poppy Parade Cardstock.
  • With Gray Granite Ink, I stamped the blossom image on Basic White Thick Cardstock
  • I punched the stamped images with the Strawberry Builder Punch.
  • With Poppy Parade Ink I stamped the “Just for You” sentiment on the lower right corner of the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and the happy birthday sentiment on the inside of the card.

  • With Pear Pizzazz Ink, I stamped the stem, leaf and blossom image twice on the bottom of the inside of the card. I colored the blossom centers with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and added Wink of Stella to the leaves and blossoms. I also stamped this image on the front of the Medium Basic White Envelope and colored in the same manner.
  • I adhered the card front layers, strawberry leaves, and the top strawberry with Multipurpose Liquid Glue as shown. I added the lower strawberry with Stampin’ Dimensionals and tucked the blossom In with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • I added a little Wink of Stella and a Bumblebee 2020-21 In Color Enamel Dot to embellish the blossom. I also added Wink of Stella to the yellow center of the blossoms on the Pear Pizzazz panel. A birthday card needs a little sparkle. Right?

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Strawberry Thank You Card

I used the Sweet Strawberry Bundle and the Floral Designer Series Paper from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog to create this sweet Thank You card. The strawberries could be stamped and colored, but I opted to punch them from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure (free along with the Berry Blessings Photopolymer Stamp Set with a $100 retail purchase). I love the coordination of colors in Stampin’ Up!’s products – in this case, the Flirty Flamingo. It makes it fun and easy to create. Enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored art 5 1/2″ (card base)
  • Gray Granite Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and a 5/8″ x 2 3/4″ strip
  • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper: three punched strawberries (see below).
  • Basic White Cardstock: largest scallop rectangle die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel (inside)

The Creating

  • With Gray Granite Ink, I stamped the vine and leaf image from the Sweet Strawberry Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Basic White scallop die cut. I used my Stamparatus, stamping one end and then rotating to stamp the other end for an evenly spaced design. I colored the inside of the flowers with a Light Saffron Yellow Stampin’ Blend. I colored the rest of the flower with Clear Wink of Stella.
  • I used the Strawberry Builder Punch to punch 3 strawberries from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (I didn’t worry about the stems). First, I loosely cut them from the paper and used a PostIt to extend their size allowing me to get them in the punch where needed. This will maximize the rest of the DSP.
  • I used the same punch to punch a strawberry stem from Garden Green Cardstock and from Granny Apple Green Cardstock. I attached these to the strawberries with a Mini Glue Dot on each.
  • I used the Triple Banner Punch to flag the end of the Gray Granite strip. Then used Versamark Ink to stamp the “Thank You”, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melted it with the Heat Tool.
  • I stamped the inside greeting and the vine image on the envelope with Gray Granite Ink. I added a DSP strip to the bottom edge and topped it with the 3rd strawberry punch. (This strawberry is a little smaller than the other two so I was able to get most of the stem and used my Paper Snips to trim around the top of the strawberry a little closer).
  • I assembled the card as shown using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front two strawberries, the scallop die cut and the right edge of the Gray Granite banner. The rest was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Jan to Jun Mini Catalog Sneak Peek – Art Gallery Bundle

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (discount shopper or business) you get to order from the upcoming catalog a month in advance. It’s so exciting to see the new things and be able to try them out early. Another perk of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being part of a team to network, share ideas and encourage each other in something you all love to do. My team gets together monthly and today was the day! Several team members presented card tutorials and presentations (all were wonderful!) for which we could follow along. I loved this card that Amy Koenders presented, however, I did not have the stamp set. I thought maybe you would like to see the results and thoughts that went behind choosing alternatives for the design. (I”m a little embarrassed to place my card next to Amy’s beautiful one, but here goes).

Both of these cards are made with new sets in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. I decided to stick with the same color scheme Amy used with the red/pink and greens. The new Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper fit the bill with Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive. Amy’s colors are Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue.

For the design I exchanged medium flowers for the strawberry focal images (Sweet Strawberry Bundle) and coordinating the smaller matching floral accents. I changed up the greeting to use one included in the same Art Gallery stamp set with a coordinating die from the Floral Gallery Dies. The greenery in the background is a larger stamp with 3 flowers on top, but I only inked the “berries” and stamped it 3 times. Two of the flowers and the sentiment are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals accented with Poppy Parade All The Trimmings Embellishments (on sale 50% off – $4 on Dec 8th while supplies last). The Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper on Amy’s card is FREE with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration, January 5th – February 28, 2021.

The Paper Cuts

  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base.
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″ panel
  • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (Amy’s is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ – no border) and a 1/2″ x 4″ strip for the inside.
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die, the longer label from Floral Gallery Dies and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel for the inside.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing two different cards from the same design and also enjoyed seeing sneak peeks o products in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration. Get your list ready for the Giant Year-End Closeout beginning Tuesday, December 8th.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  If you want more information on being a discount shopper or part of our team, drop me a line at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.
