Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Thank You Card and Coordinating Gift

This is a card and gift set that I made at the Inkin’ Krew Retreat. It was designed by the fabulous team member, Debbie Hilands. It uses the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle (Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set + Intricate Leaves Dies) from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. Debbie paired the card with a wine bottle lit gift decorated with Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty DSP (from Sale-A-Bration), Cherry Cobbler and Mango Melody Cardstock leaves (my version only uses Be Dazzling). Sale-A-Bration ends on September 30th, so hurry while inventory lasts! The Be Dazzling 6″x6″ Specialty Paper has sold out and the Sheep Dies, and the Summer Shadows Dies are in low inventory.

The Paper Cuts

For the card…

  • Old Olive Cardstock:  8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ (card base), 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ (front panel), and 2 intricate large maple leaf die cuts from Intricate Leaves Dies.
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (front panel) and two intricate elm leaf die cuts.
  • Mango Melody Cardstock: 2 intricate birch leaf die cuts.
  • Basic White Cardstock:  3-3/4″ x 5″ (embossed panel), two 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside panel and stamping), and a circular die cut from Tasteful Labels Dies.

For the bottle…

  • Be Dazzling Specialty DSP (Gold & Rose Gold 6×6 Metallic Paper or Gold Foil would be a good alternative): 3 large intricate maple leaf die cuts, 1 intricate elm leaf die cut, 2 intricate birch leaf die cuts and 1 intricate small maple leaf die cut.

The Creating

For the card…

Dip a Blending Brush into Old Olive Ink and apply lightly to the center of the 3-3/4″ x 5″ Basic White panel. Stamp the splatter image from Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set 4 times between the center and the corners with Cajun Craze Ink. Run the stamped panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Timber 3D Embossing Folder with the No. 1 and No. 4 sandwich. Adhere to the Cajun Craze panel, then to the Old Olive panel and then to the card front.

On one of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ panels stamp two elm leaves in Cajun Craze Ink, two maple leaves in Old Olive Ink and two birch leaves in Mango Melody Ink. Die cut with the coordinating dies. Apply to the top of the matching intricate die cut leaf. Apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and adhere to the card base. Stamp the “thank you” sentiment from Peaceful Cabins Stamp Set on the Tasteful Labels die cut with Cajun Craze Ink and adhere to the center. Apply a triple Linen Thread bow with a Mini Glue Dot.

Stamp one of each leaf on the envelope and the inside panel in Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Mango Melody Inks. Add the spatter stamp in Cajun Craze and Mango Melody Inks. Stamp the inside sentiment from Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set in Cajun Craze. Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base.

For the bottle…

I wrapped the ribbon around the bottle top and secured with Tear & Tape. I tied a twine bow around the base. I threaded the strand of lights (you can purchase here) into the bottle. I adhered the die cut leaves with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Note: I tried other adhesives, but the liquid glue adhered to the glass the best. You can clean up any stray glue smudges with a cleaning wipe…it came off the bottle easily.)

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Thank You Card

I created this card with the Nature’s Harvest Bundle which includes the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set + the Harvest Dies from the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock:  8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4” (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock:  4th smallest Stitched Rectangle die cut and 2 1/2″ x 5″ (stamping/die cutting)
    • Misty Moonlight Cardstock:  largest Stitched So Sweetly die cut
    • Soft Suede Cardstock: two wheat die cuts from Harvest Dies.
    • 2020-22 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper Assortment: 4″ x 5 1/4″ of Bumblebee

    The Creating

I stamped the coneflower image from the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, a Basic White Medium Envelope and the inside of the Basic White Thick card base. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends: Mango Melody, Old Olive and Soft Suede. I stamped the Thank You sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink on the Basic White Cardstock. I die cut the coneflower with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and fussy cut the sentiment with Paper Snips.

I adhered the Stitched Rectangle die cut to the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and popped on the die cut coneflowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I applied the fussy cut sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I dry fit the decorated panel on the card front with the wheat die cuts (I decided to trim one stem off) and then adhered them into position. To embellish I added three adhesive-backed gold Metallic Pearls with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Pampered Pets Thank You Card

I took my Kerry Blue Terrier, Keelan O’Shea, to the vet this week. I made this card for Dr. Harry because I appreciate all he does for us and I want him to know that two recommendations have had positive results for our fur baby. I used the Stampin’ Up! Pampered Pets Cling Stamp Set and the Layered Circles Dies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The design was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest from Patsy Waggner at Stamps to Die For. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic Gray Cardstock: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3 of the 5th from smallest smooth circle die, 2 5/8″ x 5 1/2″ (front) and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
    • Real Red Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
    • Basic Black Cardstock: 3 of the 5th from the smallest scallop circle die

    The Creating

I stamped the 3 critters in Tuxedo Black Ink on the Basic White circles and colored them with Stampin’ Blends: Soft Suede Light and Dark, Basic Black Light and Dark, Gray Granite Light and Dark, and Dark Real Red for the collar. I also added the back of the dog image to the inside panel and the envelope and colored as the one on the front. I also stamped the Thanks sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set on the inside panel.

I adhered the stamped circles to the Basic Black scallop die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the Real Red panel and the Basic White panel to the Basic Gray card base. I dry fit the circles and trimmed a little off the top edge of one and the bottom edge of another (cats) with my Paper Trimmer to line up with the card edges and adhered them with liquid glue. I popped the pup up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. He’s the star of the show! I adhered the inside panel and added 3 Matte Black Dots with the putty end of the Take Your Pick Tool to embellish the front.

And here is my sweet fur baby, Keelan….

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the card! If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Encircled In Friendship Thank You Card for Challenges

I used the Stampin’ Up! Encircled in Friendship Bundle from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog for this card. The bundle includes the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies. There is also a Holiday stamp set in the July – December 2021 Mini Catalog (page 23) that coordinates with this bundle.

The colors (Flirty Flamingo, Soft Succulent, and Gray Granite) were inspired by the Color Throwdown Countdown #655 Challenge.

The design was inspired by #TGIFC329 Sketch Challenge.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base) and 1 1/2″ x 1/2″ (sentiment)
    • Peaceful Place 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper (Gray Geometric): 4 3/8″ x 5 7/8″ (front panel) and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4 (env flap)
    • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 3 3/4″ x 4 1/2″
    • Basic White Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel) and the 3rd smallest Encircled in Beauty die cut
    • Pattern Party 12″x12″ DSP (Pink Stripe): 3rd smallest smooth circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies and 4″ x 1/2″ (inside strip)

    The Creating

With Gray Granite Ink I stamped the larger floral image from the Encircled in Friendship Stamp Set randomly on the Flirty Flamingo panel. I stamped the thanks on the Soft Succulent strip by masking the “with heartfelt thanks” image with a piece of PostIt cover up tape so that only the thanks was showing, inking and removing the tape before stamping. On a scrap of Basic White Cardstock I stamped the small floral image and colored it with Flirty Flamingo Light and Dark and Soft Succulent Light and Dark Stamping Blends before fussy cutting with my Paper Snips.

On the Basic White inside panel I stamped the two sentiments and the floral image, coloring the flower as on the front. I added a strip of the Pattern Party DSP and adhered the panel to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The front layers are also adhered with liquid glue with the exception of the fussy cut floral image which is popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a White Baker’s Twine bow to the stem of the floral image with a Mini Glue Dot. With the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool and liquid glue, I added three gray Subtle Shimmer Sequins. I also adhered a piece of the Peaceful Place DSP to the envelope and trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips for a coordinating set.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Repeat Pattern Thank You Card for TGIF Color Challenge

I used the Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Bundle from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog for this card. The bundle includes the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and Artistic Dies. There is beautiful Designer Series Paper that coordinates with this set of products, but for this project I branched out and used a repeat “wall paper” pattern for the background with dramatically different colors. I hope you enjoy the card.

The colors were inspired by the TGIF Challenges: #TGIFC328 Color Challenge.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic Black Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base).
    • Coastal Cabana Cardstock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 5″ x 1-1/8″ (sentiment strip), 5″ x 5/8″ (inside strip) and the large leaf sprig die cut.
    • Basic White Cardstock: 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″ (front panel), 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside panel) and 4″ x 2″ (stamping/die cutting).
    • Pattern Party 12″x12″ DSP: 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (front panel), 5″ x 1/2″ (inside strip) and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (envelope flap)

    The Creating

I began by stamping the rose image with Tuxedo Black Ink randomly on the Basic White front panel. I also stamped one on the front corner of the envelope and two on the Basic White 4″ x 2″, along with a small bud image. I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink on the Coastal Cabana front strip, sprinked on White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (tapping off the excess) and melted it with the Heat Tool.

I die cut the stamped floral images with the coordinating dies using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I used my Paper Snips to cut the leaves from the stem of the large die cut sprig to make placement easy. I added a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the bottom point of all but one (this one is adhered flat under the “thanks”).

I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the panels and strips as shown, trimming the excess paper from the envelope flap with Paper Snips. I then dry fit the flowers and leaves on the card front for placement. I removed the dimensionals backings and popped on the leaves first. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the backs of the flowers where needed and liquid glue on top of the base of the leaves where needed to support the roses.

I couldn’t help but add some Wink of Stella to the popped up flowers and the stamping on the envelope for a little extra sparkle. With the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool, I added three Coastal Cabana adhesive backed Artistry Bloom Sequins for a little more color.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration and the July-Dec 21 Mini Catalog Begins August 3 and August 2nd is last day for the DSP Sale!

This is an exciting week with Stampin’ Up! Not only does the new July – December 2021 Mini Catalog roll out for customer ordering, but Sale-a-bration (Round 2) begins! You will be able to earn free products for every $50/$100 you spend and the products are awesome! Tonight I used the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias Cling Stamp Set which is free August 3-Sept 30 (while supplies last) with a $100 order. I hope you enjoy the card!

My card design was inspired by Color Throwdown Countdown #653. Aren’t these colors gorgeous? I’m using Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (base), 3″ x 3″ (stamping) and the smallest Stitched Rectangle Dies die cut.
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3 6/8″ x 5″ (front panel)
    • 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front), 4″ x 3/4″ (inside strip) and 2″ x 6″(left from cutting the front panel to be used for the envelope flap).

    The Creating

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the Two-Step dahlia image from Delicate Dahlias on the Basic White front panel, the inside panel, the envelope, and the 3″x3″ piece. You can use blocks, but I find it easier to line up the varied edges with the Stamparatus. Plus, with a larger stamp like this, the Stamparatus ensures a clean 2nd image if you miss ink or pressure somewhere. I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut the dahlia that I stamped on the 3″x3″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

I stamped the dahlia outline image on a post it note, catching the sticky edge, and fussy cut it for a mask. I then used it to cover the stamped dahlia’s so I could add the leaves “behind” the flowers. I used a block here since the image is smaller and has less detail on the outline. Easy peasy! I also stamped the sentiment inside the card and on the right side of the Stitched Rectangle die cut. You can use snips or your paper trimmer to trim off the overhang on the left side once it is adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The envelope flap will be 1/4″ wider than the DSP strip so just trim it with Paper Snips or the Paper Trimmer. There will still be plenty of envelope adhesive left on the flap to seal it and your will have put that scrap to good use!

All that is left is the assembly…the paper layers are adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The fussy cut dahlia is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a little Wink of Stella to the flower centers and three 2021-23 In Color Jewels with my Take Your Pick Tool putty end to embellish.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

    • Old Olive & Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 3 1/16″ x 1″ (1 of each color)
    • Soft Suede Cardstock: 2″ x 5″
    • Early Expresso Cardstock: 2 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
    • Beauty of the Earth 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front panel) and 4″ x 1/2″ (inside)

    The Creating

I stamped the smaller pinecone from Christmas Season Photopolymer Stamp Set four times on the Basic White panel. This is a Two Step image…I stamped the detail stamp first in Early Expresso Ink and followed up with the larger fill stamp in Soft Suede Ink. Next I added the double leafed fir stamp randomly between the cones with Mossy Meadow Ink and followed with the pine sprig image in First- and Second-Generation Old Olive Ink. To complete the stamping I added the sentiments with Early Expresso Ink and added the leaves inside with First- and Second-Generation Old Olive Ink.

Next I ran the small strips of green cardstocks through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the pine sprig Wintery 3D Embossing Folder. I did the same with the flap of the Basic White Medium Envelope.

To assemble, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the layers and the inside strip to the card base. I added three Bronze Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to embellish the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Thank You Card with Fading Technique

I used the Beauty of Friendship Bundle (Beauty of Friendship Photopolymer Stamp Set and Beautiful Trees Dies) to make this thank you card. I love the soft blended colors and the fading trees that make it feel like we’re in a misty forest. It was inspired by a card created by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, LeeAnn Greff. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ (card base)
    • Very Vanilla Cardstock: die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and two 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels.
    • Pool Party Cardstock: scrap for the bird die cut.

    The Creating

With Evening Evergreen Ink, I stamped the sentiments on the Stitched So Sweetly die cut and on the lower right corner of the inside panel. Then I stamped the trees on the two Very Vanilla Cardstock panels and the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. I used the Fading Technique which is simply to ink once and stamp multiple times until the ink fades away in order to create depth (as here) or motion (ie, like a ball rolling). Be sure when you do this that the full stamp image is evenly on the cardstock, or, if it does overhang the edge of the card that your subsequent images are a little less than the previous one so that the darker ink on the part of the stamp that overhung the edge (and did not stamp off) does not show on the next image thus making it two tone.

I used Blending Brushes to add first Soft Succulent Ink and then Evening Evergreen Ink along the “forest floor” and then Pool Party Ink and Bermuda Bay Ink for the sky line.

To assemble the card I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the two panels to the card base. I popped the sentiment label up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added the die cut bird with a Mini Glue Dot.

To embellish, I added Pool Party Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Thank You Card

I used the Artistically Inked Cling Stamp Set along with the coordinating Expressions in Ink 12×12 Specialty Designer Series Paper for this Thank You Card. If you have followed me for long you may have noticed that I often use pink and green. This is a new found discovery of my own! It seems to work well and I hope you enjoy the card!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Polished Pink Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
    • Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (front panel)
    • Basic White Cardstock: Tasteful Label Die Cut and 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside panel)

    The Creating

I stamped the roses in Polished Pink Ink and the leaves in Shaded Spruce Ink on the Designer Series Paper, the inside panel, and the envelope.

I stamped the “thanks” greeting in Polished Pink on the Tasteful Label die cut. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.

I adhered the front and inside layers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I added the gold die cut elements from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack (I think someone at Stampin’ Up! is trying to improve our vocabulary and spelling) with dots of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added the “thanks” label and three Evening Evergreen 2021-23 In Color Jewels (they coordinate beautifully) to complete the card.

Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek – Pansy Patch Thank You Card

The new Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is going to go live on May 4th! Here’s a sneak peek of the Pansy Patch Bundle which includes the Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Pansy Dies at a 10% discount. I also used the coordinating Pansy Petals 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the new 2021-2023 In Colors. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 8 1/2″ (card base), 6 leaf detail die cuts.
    • Evening Evergreen: 6 embossed leaf die cuts.
    • Vellum Cardstock: 3 of the large embossed pansy leaf die cuts and 3 of the single embossed pansy leaf die cuts.
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3 large pansy leaf edging die cuts, 3 single leaf edging die cuts, a 2″ smooth layering circle die cut and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel (inside).
    • Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (front), 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ (env) and 4′ x 1/2″ (inside).
    • Bumblebee Cardstock: 1 pansy center die cut (cuts 3)
    • Fresh Freesia Cardstock: 3 larger pansy center die cuts.

    The Creating

    • With Evening Evergreen Ink, I stamped the sentiments from the Pansy Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set on the Layering Circles die cut and on the inside panel.
    • I placed the Vellum Cardstock pansy leaf die cuts and the Basic White pansy leaf tips on my Silicone Craft Mat and applied Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the backs fo the white tips. I lined them up on the tips of the vellum petals. Then I applied glue to the Fresh Freesia centers and placed them on the larger Vellum pansy petals. Tip: there are straight lines to line up to the edge of the white tips. Then I added the Bumblebee smaller centers with 1/2 of a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional. Tip: Mini Glue Dots would work too if you would like it a little less raised. I applied liquid glue to the back of the layer pansy so it was behind the Fresh Freesia die cut and wouldn’t be seen through the Vellum. I placed this on top of the single pansy leaf die cut.
    • I applied liquid glue to the Soft Succulent detail leaves and adhered them to the Evening Evergreen embossed die cuts.

    • I arranged the die cuts on the card front and adhered them in place. The pansy on the left is popped up with Mini Dimensionals (behind the Fresh Freesia) and the other elements are adhered with liquid glue.
    • I added three Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Color Jewels. These are so pretty…there is an iridescent coating that really shines.
    • I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to apply the inside panel, the small DSP strip to the lower edge of the inside panel and the larger strip to the envelope flap, trimming the excess with Paper Snips.
