Stampin’ Up! Pretty Pumpkins Monochromatic Card

I used the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (Pretty Pumpkins Photopolymer Stamp Set + Detailed Pumpkins Dies) from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and the Expressions in Ink 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog to make this monochromatic hello card. I hope you enjoy!

The Paper Cuts

  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″ (card base) and the pumpkin die cut from Detailed Pumpkins Dies
  • Pale Papaya Cardstock: the pumpkin die cut from Detailed Pumpkins Dies
  • Expressions in Ink Designer Series Paper: 5-1/4″ x 4″ (front panel), 5-1/4″ x 1/2″ (inside) and 5-3/4″ x 2-1/4″ (envelope)
  • Basic White Cardstock: scallop rectangle die cut from Stitched So Sweetly Dies and 5-1/4″ x 4″ (inside)

The Creating

I began by stamping the sentiments from the Pansy Patch Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pumpkin Pie Ink on the scallop rectangle die cut and the inside panel.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the two pumpkin die cuts to the rectangle die cut, tucking the folded Pale Papaya Ribbon under with a Mini Glue Dot. I added three Pumpkin Pie Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

To assemble, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the DSP panels, Basic White panel, DSP strip and DSP for the envelope. I popped up the pumpkin die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals and trimmed the extra DSP from the envelope flap with Paper Snips.

Thank you for stopping by. If you have any questions or need a catalog, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.   You can drop me an email at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Stampin’ Up! Berry Blessings Bundle – 3 Days of Sale-A-Bration Left

I used the Berry Blessings Bundle from the Jan – 28 Feb 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure for this card. There is a lot in this bundle…blueberries, blackberries and raspberries and I hadn’t used the raspberries yet! I LOVE this design from the included Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper! It also coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle from the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog (not shown here). How could it get better? This bundle is free with a $100 retail purchase until February 28, 2021 and includes the stamp set and the Designer Series Paper. You’ll find links below. I can’t believe there is only 3 days left until Sale-A-Bration ends. While it’s shorter than normal, the good news is, there will be another Sale-A-Bration in the summer!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/8″ smooth circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
    • Real Red Cardstock: 2 1/2″ scallop circle die cut from Layering Circles Dies
    • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper: 3 1 3/4 x 3 6/8″ die cuts from Stitched So Sweetly Dies (front), 5 1/4″ x 3/8″ (inside) and 5 3/4″ x 2 3/8″ (env)

    The Creating

    • With Pear Pizzazz Ink, stamp the sentiment a little below center on the smooth circle and on the inside panel. Add the stem outlines and the the stem fill in second generation (stamp off, then on) to the circle. Mask the stem and stamp the berry outline in Real Red and then the fill in second generation.
(This is my mask. I stamped the berry stem on a Post It note so that the edge I was masking was on the adhesive. I then trimmed the part I would be stamping over with my Paper Snips….do not leave a white edge like when you fussy cut, but trim right on the outside of the stamped line).
    • Adhere the stamped circle to the scallop circle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back.
    • Adhere the 3 Stitched Rectangle die cuts to the card front leaving even margins.
    • Add a folded piece of the Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots to the card front. Top with the stamped circle layers.
    • Add 3 Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
    • Adhere the 3/8″ strip of the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper to the inside and the larger piece to a Basic White Medium Envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Trim excess DSP from the envelope with Paper Snips

Stampin’ Up! A Touch of Ink Thinking of You Card

I used A Touch of Ink Photopolymer Stamp Set from the Jan 5 – Feb 28, 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. It is FREE with a $100 retail purchase and has two sheets of stamps. It includes both the outline and the fill stamps, as well as sentiments and a background stamp. It’s so awesome!

One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! is the coordination of products. I find it easy to pull my project colors from a Designer Series Paper. For this card I used the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog. So simple!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
    • Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper: 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front) and 3/8″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
    • Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (front), 4 x 5 1/4″ (inside) and 2 1/4″ x 1 3/4″ (label)

    The Creating

    • Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the hummingbird outline in Tuxedo Black Ink. I positioned the hummingbird fill stamp over the outline and picked it up with the Stamparatus plate. I inked the breast of the stamp with Bumblebee Ink and then the rest with Mint Macaron Ink and stamped. I then stamped the leaves (outline & fill) in Olive Green Ink. I finished with the background dots on a block in Bumblebee Ink, some first- and some second-generation.
    • I stamped the sentiment in Mint Macaron Ink on Basic White Cardstock and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the 2nd smallest label in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (one of my fav die sets).
    • I adhered the layers to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue except the label which is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • I added a knotted 1/4″ Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the card front to cover the seam. I wanted to ensure it did not slip around during mailing since the hummingbird is close to the edge, so I added a few Mini Glue Dots underneath using my Take Your Pick Tool to lift them from the roll and to place them under the ribbon.
    • I stamped the leaf outline on the Basic White Medium Envelope in Old Olive Ink.

There are links down below for the products used.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  Just click on the links above or the shop image on on the right side of the screen to go directly to my online store or drop me an email me at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

Stampin’ Up! Art Gallery with Craft Ink Technique

I was browsing Pinterest this week, saw this technique and decided to give it a try. It uses a base of Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Craft Ink on Basic Black Cardstock then topped with a color ink. It’s really cool. One surprise is that the inks turn out drastically different and darker. I used Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade, but when completely dry it looks more like Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry! You should give it a try. Have fun!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Basic Black Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored art 4 1/4″ (card base) and 3 1/4″ x 3 7/8″.
    • Basic White Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 4″ and 4″ x 5 1/4 (inside)”
    • True Love Designer Series Paper: 4″ x 1/2″ (inside)

    The Creating

    • Using the Stamparatus and the included photopolymer mat, I stamped the flower head and then the stem in Whisper White Craft Ink on the 3 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ Basic Black panel. I removed the cardstock and dried the ink with the Heat Tool on the low setting. I returned the panel to the Stamparatus and stamped the flower head in Flirty Flamingo Ink and the stem in Pear Pizzazz Ink. I did have to stamp them a couple of times to get the depth of coverage I wanted. Then I stamped the flower head accent stamp in Poppy Parade.
    • I added the stamped panel to the Basic White 3 1/2″ x 4″ panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I placed on the card front to gage where to stamp the greeting in VersaMark Ink. I remove the panel, sprinkled the stamped area with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and melted with the Heat Tool on the high setting.
    • I tied Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel and tied in a bow. I trimmed the ends with my Paper Snips. Then I popped the panel on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added 3 Pearl Basic Jewels.
    • I adhered the Basic White panel and strip of True Love DSP to the inside of the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This card would make a great Sympathy card. We have a dear friend who lost her husband last month, and while I have sent her a sympathy card already, I want to remind her she is being thought about. I think this one will be perfect for the occasion.

Stampin’ Up! Heartfelt Curvy Valentine Card

I love the mix of reds, grays and blacks in this card. It’s CASED from a Pinterest post created by Colleen Seymour Crafts. It is made using the Quite Curvy Bundle (Preorder and Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog), the Heartfelt Bundle (2020-21 Annual Catalog) and the Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper (2020 Aug – Dec Mini Catalog). This paper is retiring and the last day to order it is January 4, 2020. Don’t miss it, it’s a great pack! There is also a sneak peek of the Resin Hearts Embellishments from the upcoming Jan – Jun Mini Catalog. They are sooo stinkiin’ cute!

    • Whisper White Thick Cardstock: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ for the card base and 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
    • Real Red Cardstock: 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ and a scrap for the small heart punch.
    • Plaid Tidings 6×6 Designer Series Paper: 3″ x 5 1/2″ and 1″ x 5 1/2″ gray plaid; 2″ x 5 1/2″ and 5 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ black plaid.

    The Creating

    • Cut the 2 gray plaid strips of DSP with the fancy Curvy Dies border. Cut the black plaid DSP with the dotted Curvy Dies border. Be sure to note which way the cutting edge of the border die is before you pass it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. You want the cutting edge near the edge of the paper.
    • Stamp the lattice heart stamp from the Heartfelt Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the small piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock. Punch it out with the scallop heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Also punch the smooth heart from Heart Punch Pack from Real Red Cardstock. The smaller punch in the center is from Real Red Cardstock and punched with a punch I bought at a craft fair probably 25 years ago. They were quite common, but if you don’t have one you can use a die or snips.
    • Dry fit the pieces to decide your placement on the card. I adhered the two hearts together and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The other layers I adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The black plaid piece on the inside is left over from cutting the outside piece.
    • Stamp the outer greeting from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink and the inside greeting from the Heartfelt Stamp Set with Real Red Ink.
    • Apply three (3) red Resin Hearts Embellishments (available January 5, 2021) on the card front.
    • Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the envelope flap, adhere the DSP and trim with Paper Snips.

Stampin’ Up! Jan to Jun Mini Catalog Sneak Peek – Art Gallery Bundle

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator (discount shopper or business) you get to order from the upcoming catalog a month in advance. It’s so exciting to see the new things and be able to try them out early. Another perk of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is being part of a team to network, share ideas and encourage each other in something you all love to do. My team gets together monthly and today was the day! Several team members presented card tutorials and presentations (all were wonderful!) for which we could follow along. I loved this card that Amy Koenders presented, however, I did not have the stamp set. I thought maybe you would like to see the results and thoughts that went behind choosing alternatives for the design. (I”m a little embarrassed to place my card next to Amy’s beautiful one, but here goes).

Both of these cards are made with new sets in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. I decided to stick with the same color scheme Amy used with the red/pink and greens. The new Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper fit the bill with Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive. Amy’s colors are Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue.

For the design I exchanged medium flowers for the strawberry focal images (Sweet Strawberry Bundle) and coordinating the smaller matching floral accents. I changed up the greeting to use one included in the same Art Gallery stamp set with a coordinating die from the Floral Gallery Dies. The greenery in the background is a larger stamp with 3 flowers on top, but I only inked the “berries” and stamped it 3 times. Two of the flowers and the sentiment are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals accented with Poppy Parade All The Trimmings Embellishments (on sale 50% off – $4 on Dec 8th while supplies last). The Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper on Amy’s card is FREE with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration, January 5th – February 28, 2021.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″ for the card base.
    • Old Olive Cardstock: 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″ panel
    • Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (Amy’s is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ – no border) and a 1/2″ x 4″ strip for the inside.
    • Whisper White Cardstock: 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Die, the longer label from Floral Gallery Dies and a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel for the inside.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing two different cards from the same design and also enjoyed seeing sneak peeks o products in the upcoming January – June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration. Get your list ready for the Giant Year-End Closeout beginning Tuesday, December 8th.

If you need any stamping supplies, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator.  If you want more information on being a discount shopper or part of our team, drop me a line at stampdabbles@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you.

    The Paper Cuts

    • Whisper White Cardstock: 4″ x 5 1/4″ embossed with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder, 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside, and the smallest scallop label die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Starting with the largest die, slip the the next size down in from the front, lining up the bottom edge from the back. Apply Multipurpose Liquid Glue along the bottom edge to adhere together. Use the pointy end of the Take Your Pick Tool to place Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals between the layers to support them during mailing.
    • Stamp the large peony image, 2nd generation, in Petal Pink Ink on the inside panel. Also stamp it on the envelope, first generation. Add the sentiment with Basic Gray Ink, 1st generation. Stamp the sentiment on the scallop label die, 1st generation.
    • Adhere the layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue except the label which is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. They are only needed on the top left and lower right corners.

Stampin’ Up! Come Together Friendship Card

I am loving the Come Together Bundle from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. It is so versatile and the simple design is super easy. It is good for general purposes as well as winter and holiday! The sentiments on tonight’s friendship card are from Peaceful Moments. Enjoy!

I began by using my Stamparatus to stamp the row of five houses with Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White Cardstock. I used the largest Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the card front then stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight. I used Liquid Adhesive to adhere the die to a piece of Misty Moonlight DSP and then to the Crushed Curry card base.

I colored the 5th house with Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight, So Saffron and Daffodil Delight. I cut it with the coordinating die and popped it up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the Real Red heart with the paws die from the Pets Dies and popped it up with half of a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment inside with Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White Cardstock and added a strip of the Misty Moonlight DSP. I added a Misty Moonlight house on the envelope. So fun!

Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Thinking of You Card

Here is a sneak peak of what’s inside the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. This card used the Jar of Flowers and Many Mates stamp sets which will be available for customers to order on June 3rd. It also used the new 2020-2022 In Color Misty Moonlight Cardstock and 6×6 DSP. The inspiration for the design is on page 10 of the catalog. Enjoy!

    The Paper Cuts

    • Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 4 1/4″ x 11″ card base scored at 5 1/2″ and a 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ panel.
    • 2020-2022 In Color DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ and a 3/4″ x 5″ strip
    • Whisper White Cardstock: 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″
    • Shaded Spruce Cardstock: 2 1/8″ x 5/8″ scrap

    The Creating

    • Adhere te DSP panel to the card front.
    • Stamp the floral image in Tuxedo Black on the Whisper White 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ panel. Also stamp it on a PostIt Note catching the sticky edge at the bottom. Trim around the bottom edge on the black stamped line. This will be your mask. It will make the flowers look like they are inside the jar instead of the jar on top of the flowers when you stamp the jar 😉
    • Stamp the jar in Basic Gray Ink with the mask in place as shown above. (I first tried Tuxedo Black, but it came out very dark and I wanted it to be lighter since it is glass).
    • Add the flower stem image with Basic Gray Ink with the mask still in place. Now you can remove it! Taadaa!
    • Color the flower and stems with Stampin’ Blends Combos: Light Seaside Spray, Flirty Flamingo and Call Me Clover. I also used Light Smoky Slate in layers with Light Call Me Clover and Light Seaside Spray for the sprig that looks like Eucalyptus. Don’t be afraid to mix colors 🙂
    • Add Wink of Stella to the reflection marks on the jar.
    • Adhere the colored floral panel to the Misty Moonlight panel.
    • Tie a piece of the Flowers for Every Season Twine around the two panels and tie in a bow. I knotted the end to ensure the three layers didn’t untwist (as in the catalog). Adhere to the DSP on the card front.
    • Rub the Shaded Spruce scrap with the Embossing Buddy to prevent static. Stamp with the sentiment in VersaMark, sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat with the Heat Tool.
    • Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Trim if necessary.
    • Add 3 Flowers for Every Season Gems with Mini Glue Dots.
    • Stamp the sentiment on the inside panel with Misty Moonlight Ink and adhere to the inside of the cards. Adhere the DSP strip to the bottom edge.

Links for items used to make this card are listed below or you can browse for other supplies at my Stampin’ Up! shop in the side bar. Use the May Host Code for free gifts from me (if your order is $150 or more you don’t want to use it so that you get Hostess Rewards). See my Rewards Page for full details.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need Stampin’ Up! Catalogs. I can’t wait for you to see the new Annual Catalog and I have them in stock if you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.

I would love to know you and to help you create something beautiful.
